Welcoming feeling every time I walk in. So many class offerings, indoor pool, turf area, and the instructors/trainers are knowledgeable, friendly and encouraging! In the locker room they have showers, bathrooms, a sauna and lockers (that you can create a code and lock). I used to hate going to the gym but once I started attending brick bodies I began to love the gym especially because I felt so comfortable exercising in that environment. It is a bit expensive but for everything it includes it is worth it. read more

I was visiting the Baltimore area for work. I checked online and they seemed to have 7 day trial going on. I called them ahead and asked them about the deal. They said I need to come in person to sign up and activate the deal. When I got there, the reception desk told me they couldn't offer the deal to the visitor from out of state. I was so confused and angry as they could have said the same thing over the phone when I had called to enquire about the deal. I would have gone to some other gym. I had to pay $30 to use the facility. Such a bad customer service. The gym was good. They have good workout space and good locker room facilities including steam, sauna and hot tub. Steam and hot tub are cohead. So prepare to bring bathing suits. If the customer service was good, they would absolutely get higher rating. read more

This is one of Brick Bodies state of the art gyms. Its equipped with multiple machines of the same so theres no need to wait long. It gets crowded but today I was relaxed and enjoyed my workout. Its a large gym so the volume of people continues to flow. There are towels and a shower. The staff seems to get mixed in and isnt as personable and friendly as my normal home one. This gym has it all from pool, to turf like workout yard, to cycles, ignite room, to recovery rooms, saunas and yes private saunas with showers. Well worth the dollar. read more

My experience at Brick Bodies at Padania in Timonium I wanted to share my recent experience at Brick Bodies in Timonium. I was a member of Brick Bodies for about a year, but I canceled my membership approximately one month ago. I was walking on my lunch break and had walked about 25 minutes away from my job when I suddenly needed to use the restroom. I knew I would not be able to make the 25-minute walk back to work. I went into Brick Bodies and politely explained my situation to a woman at the front desk. She told me that I could not use the restroom unless I purchased something from their shop. I explained that I had left my wallet at work, but I was still told that I could not use the restroom. At that point, I really needed to go, so I had no choice but to leave. I ended up running across the street to Royal Farms, where they allowed me to use their restroom without requiring me to purchase anything. I understand that businesses have policies, and I respect that. However, I was disappointed by the lack of compassion in this situation, especially since I had been a member of Brick Bodies for a year and had only canceled my membership about a month earlier. I'm sharing this review simply so people are aware of my experience. If you're ever in the area and need to use a restroom, don't assume you will be able to use the restroom at Brick Bodies without making a purchase. A little kindness and understanding in an urgent situation would have gone a long way. read more

The ladies locker room needs to be redone. The walls are slimy and it looks like mold everywhere . Not enough private changing rooms. The bathrooms always have a "bad " odor. Looking for a better facility in the Towson area. The area looks gross. read more

I want to share my recent frustrating experience with Brick Bodies in Padonia, particularly regarding their cancellation policy and customer service. First, their cancellation policy is not transparent at all. Nowhere in the contract agreement does it explicitly state that if you sign up for a one-year contract and choose to cancel early, you'll be charged half of your remaining balance. This fee was a complete surprise and absolutely not communicated upfront. Second, they also do not make it clear that you must cancel at least 15 days in advance. Even if you do, they won't notify their billing company until the first of the next month. So if you cancel near the end of a month, you're still going to be charged for the following month before they even process your cancellation. To add to the disappointment, the general manager, Kurt, was not helpful at all. He talked about having "morals" but couldn't even refund a simple $25 fee, despite the fact that I'd already paid over $250 just to cancel my membership. It's hard to see the "morals" in that when the entire process feels like a money grab. Finally, I was explicitly told I couldn't come back to the gym after canceling. So why am I still being charged for a membership period when I'm not even allowed to use the facility? It's completely unreasonable and reflects very poorly on their business practices. In short, it is a good gym with good people. But their cancellation policy is opaque, and customer service is lacking when it involves cancellation, the entire experience left me feeling misled and overcharged. read more

I've been a Brick Bodies member for close to 10 years. What's always set it apart is that it carries itself as a high-class gym -- not like the cheaper, no-frills places. And I'll give credit where it's due: the facility overall is very clean. Unlike many gyms that carry that sweat odor, Brick Bodies does a great job keeping the space fresh. But too many things are starting to slip. About 25-30% of the treadmills are out of order, and some even have missing cup holders -- just holes where your keys or phone could fall through. The machines feel old, some padding is torn, mats in the core area are beat up, and locker rooms have missing doors and broken locks. I once got a towel with hair still on it, which should never happen at a "premium" gym. On top of that, the sanitize wipe stations aren't always stocked, making it hard to clean machines after use. I also tried the kid nursery for the first time and was disappointed -- dirty, dull, and understaffed. I get it's not a full daycare, but it should still be better maintained. Brick Bodies charges premium prices and promotes a premium image, but the facilities don't fully live up to that right now. If they want to keep that reputation, they need to reinvest in equipment, upkeep, and overall quality read more

Some really good teachers and motivators for group classes. For yoga and other classes posture and body placement are importand Students quickly learn which teachers are experts. Those are the classes that fill up fast The rest are personality and workout hours.. You have to sign up for classes. This works well at times. You can sign up three days in advance and are given up to an hour before the class starts to wiggle out.. One of the gyms is close to highway ramps. One is in the Rotunda with garage parking...free for three hours, maybe four hours. read more

I finally signed up for a nicer gym and from the start, Oscar has been an incredible help. He always says hi, goes above and beyond my requests, and even searched the whole gym to find my boyfriend's missing water bottle. Besides top notch customer service, this gym has everything. I get a Hydromassage before leaving every time. I can't believe I love going to the gym again. Thanks BB! read more

Just moved to the area. Heard about the recovery lounge with the infrared sauna. I live closer to Rotunda, but liked the "recovery" situation, so was thinking about joining here. I walked in, said "hi, I'm new, I'm interested in trying the infrared sauna. I read online you can book it as a nonmember and I would like to do that." That person sent me to someone else, who sent me to someone else. Then a very nice man gave me a tour, walked me through all the areas. Told me all the things. Showed me how to use all the stuff. Showed me the recovery area, told me all the great things in there. Pressed all the buttons on all the machines. I said cool this looks nice. I would like to try it. He said great, come sit in my office. walked me through the membership types. I, again, made it very clear that I wanted to try the infrared sauna. Great, great, we will start you with a 7 day trial. We went through all the rigamarole. Why I'm interested, what I would use, when would he check back in with me. Well, by the time that was all done, I had to go pick my kid up and didn't have time to try the sauna. I come back the VERY NEXT day. I walk in, go right to recovery. It's 8:15pm. As soon as I walk up to the desk, the man says "you know it closes at 9 right?" ... very welcoming. I give him my name, he tells me that I can't use the sauna on the trial. WHAT?! Now I have spent more than 45 mins in this building. I was clear with every single person. I want to try the sauna. This is the ONLY thing differentiating this place from allll the other places. This is why I drove 25 minutes in the evening to get here (for the second day in a row). He, kindly, tells me that everyone who I spoke to yesterday must have not delivered the message that you cannot try the sauna while on the trial membership. Then he says "since you weren't told, I'll let you use it." How kind. I go use the sauna. It's nice. However, when you get out of a sauna, you want to cool down. They have showers right there. Well, the showers only let hot water out, and you can't even turn the sauna heat off, so you can't cool down. Anyway, I leave the sauna. The guy at the front desk (who is watching a baseball game on the computer), says "I checked with the manager and I was not supposed to allow you to use the sauna. It's not included in the trial. So let's just keep this between you and me. And you can't use it again on the trial. Just between you and me, ok?" What?!? This person was rude as soon as I walked into the recovery door. I would have happily paid for a trial of the sauna. I was about to throw down a lot of extra money for the premium membership for me AND my family. But I was put through the whole thing and told to do a trial. This man in recovery had me exacerbated and humiliated. AND NOW HE WANTS ME TO KEEP A SECRET?! Oh, and also, a small bottle of water costs $5 through the vending machine in the front. I'm so glad I did a trial. Told me everything I need to know. Will not be back. read more

Brick Bodies is always immaculately clean. The staff offer fresh towels and this is a nice touch. For a gym, I find this Timonium location to be peaceful. The parking is convenient. Consistently broken machines. Overly crowded. Ignorant people. Locker rooms are gross.

This used to be the best fitness club around for so many years....ac off all summer, broken down equipment, leak from ceiling for several months, virtually group classes, no genuinely kind staff, dismissive, rude. Keep reading: (my reason for canceling my contract) I'm trying to save ppl from wasting their money when you can pay $10 less a month for a brand new gym or elsewhere. Read to the end, it's worth it. I feel I should be forthcoming as to why Im feeling the need to leave "fake nice" staff, horrible greetings/ lack of greeting even when I am the one saying hi, how are you first..the past several months it has been this way. The manager has ignored me every single time I've greeted him and said hi and waved to him while exercising. He looks my way but as if I'm invisible. Quite embarrassing as I did this about 10 times thinking he couldn't hear or see me..and then I figured it out and thought to myself it was personal but I don't know how it could be besides me not responding to the personal training offer emails. I have not been a difficult member, I mind my own business, I keep to myself, I am quiet and a genuinely kind person. I've always greeted them with a friendly smile and hello. I once put in complaint of someone sticking his hands down his pants subtly while I was directly across from him but that's the only thing I can think of as to why they would offer this type of unprofessional, unkind behavior. (They started their unkind, rude, dismissive behavior after this happened which is pretty shocking.) Thank you for all the months of allowing me to use your gym. " Locker room floors are wet with women's hair all the time, lack of cleanliness - financial troubles are evident NO AC ALL SUMMER!!!! This is HUGE reason for the prices you pay for membership each month and no discounts?! No apologies just excuses...is this how a prestigious, cooperation does business that is doing well? I don't think so. excuses about the whys, excuses and diverting on when equipment will be fixed, excuses on why current equipment is having trouble. Old gym- you're paying now for window dressing. I've been around the fitness industry for 20 both in gym sales and equipment sales. The first amazing feature of this facility is the cost which is significantly lower than most fitness clubs with far less features. If you cannot get motivated or find something to use here then perhaps you're in the wrong club or you haven't asked the right questions to the knowledgeable staff. Now what I will say is that in terms of locker room space that would be the issue in any club it's not so bad here. Of course like any club don't go at peak hours 5-7pm because again if you're complaining you are in the wrong club. It's the best health club around, see for yourself and please enjoy your workout! read more

There have been numerous occasions in which there have been members in the locker room on facetime/video calls, which is a large invasion of privacy. When I've alerted front desk staff, it didn't seem like there was any considerable action taken. When I alerted a manager, Tracy, she was largely dismissive and unsympathetic. Brick Bodies is a wonderful gyn. But this is a review of my personal trainer, Christopher Simmons. Six weeks ago when we started our warm water training, I was recovering from a knew accident, wearing a brace and walking with a cane. Also my balance was awful. I had the membership for the three locations but it was very disappointing to see that the only location being conscious about covid was the Rotunda. No one in the other gyms were wearing a mask at any time. This was not notified to me when I did the membership. I tried to go to the Yoga classes in those locations but always was packed with people in it and NO mask, so I was not able to participate to any of those classes or aerobic classes as neither. I've been a member going on 15 years. Brick Bodies Fitness Services has been offering outside classes which has been great because I don't feel safe going inside to sweat with others yet. However today I found out that if you miss a class that you were registered for and forget to cancel in their online system- THEY WILL CHARGE YOU 15$/CLASS THAT YOU DIDN'T COME TO. Or if you run late and forget to checkin afterwards. They are currently making notes in members accounts according to a desk employee at rotunda location. So if I take classes everyday and one day/week my family has some incident- my daughter is sick, dog ran away, my son threw up on the carpet etc and I have to be human and handle my family then I could end up paying 60$ extra that month and that is more than my actual multi-club membership. read more

I've been going to Brick Bodies Padonia since 2018 - if I had written a review pre-covid it would have been good! But now, during covid, I have to say that Brick Bodies is truly amazing. BB Padonia staff is welcoming and kind (Angela is the absolute best!), the facility is very clean and they take social distancing + masks very seriously. I feel safe going to BB Padonia and look forward to it every day. I've been a member at this club for about a year now. The locker rooms are pristine. Even though the club gets really crowded (more to come on that) I've never not been able to find a locker. There are lockers, changing rooms, showers, a rest room, and a sauna. There is also a steam room available in the pool area (not my cup of tea) Speakijg of the pool area-- that's really nice too! I can't speak personally because I've never really used it but I know they have a therapy pool and lap pool. The work out area is very large and open with tons of cardio machines. Again, even when it's crowded you can always find a machine to use. I love that this location has towel service. People complain about the parking but really there is always parking available! You are going to the gym to work out people, c'mon! You can walk around the building. You can tell Brick Bodies is addressing this problem because they often even have a parking attendant in the parking lot to help steer people towards additional parking. The rest of the shopping center is very picky about their parking so make sure you park only within the yellow lines of the parking lot or there is a possibility your car will get towed! So....before I joined Brick Bodies, I read a few yelp reviews but decided to try it for myself. My job has a corporate rate (a whole whopping $3 discount) so I made an appointment to join. I met with Cory Peimer, he offered a week's pass but when I got there said that if I wanted to join for $1 I would have to join immediately. I worked in the health club industry for while so I know the deal, but I did want to at least try it out first. I am not sure if Cory was tired, didn't feel like engaging me or what, but our tour consisted of silence, walking from amenity to amenity. He never really asked what I liked to do, if I had kids etc. I signed up, and on the way out saw there was a childcare facility, I went in "by myself" and asked questions abou the hours cost etc. The child care staff was very friendly. Cory saw me speaking with them so he came in after. You are supposed to get 4 work outs with a trainer when you join, so Cory said he would call me back. I didn't hear from him, so I went into the gym and asked for help. I never took a photo for my ID, was never scheduled for a training appointment and was notshowed how to access my account online. I expressed my frustration to another sales staff and he took my picture and scheduled an appointment for a training appointment, or so I thought. My appointment was scheduled with Tristan, so at the time of my appointment I went to the training area but he had no record of me having an appointment. We briefly spoke about my goals and scheduled our second appointment. There was snow the dau of the appointment so Tristan canceled. On the day he rescheduled he texted me a couple of hours before the appointment and canceled again. I haven't heard from him since. Then today, I try to get a quick work out in during lunch, so every minute counts. My locker wasn't working so I went to the front desk. There were 3 staff members there...two were writing something down on a piece of paper....not sure if it was a game of soduko or tic tac toe...what ever it was, it was more interesting than helping me. I said excuse me....but nothing. I then moved into their direct view and said excuse me again. I almost crawled over the desk waving my arms saying hello! I front desk staff person named Matt saw my frustration and quickly finished helping another customer and then helped me. The two other staff still did not lift there heads to help. I'm not sure about Brick Bodies.....definitely not impressed so far. They have to do a lot to win me over! I was contacted regarding my review....and offered a training appointment. The trainer was great....we'll se what happens. read more

I highly recommend working with a personal trainer in order to get the most out of your BB membership. Wes is an excellent trainer! He holds me accountable to my fitness goals, offers a variety of workouts, and makes accommodations for my prior injuries. Thanks to Wes, I no longer dread going to the gym - and actually enjoy many of his workout routines. He makes squats into a game of throwing and catching medicine balls, which is exhausting but fun. Wes cares about his clients and works hard to motivate them and help them succeed. If you are feeling stuck in your gym routine, try scheduling a few sessions with Wes. read more

I did a sixty-day membership here. I had to keep telling the membership guy that I wanted to do the sixty-day program when he kept trying to get me to join for a regular membership repeatedly. That and some other reasons are why I wouldn't want to join after that. The guy I had to meet with was asking me to tell him all my family medical problems. You had to sign something that if you don't show up to meet with the trainer they will kick you out of the rest of the program. I didn't appreciate being treated like that. Anyway, the sessions with the trainer were pretty boring. The same few machines every time you had to show up. Another machine I wanted to use on my own was brokThen at the beginning of a bad snow storm the trainer called me to come in during the storm when it wasn't safe to drive. I didn't. A year later I got a notification that I had an appointment (someone must have scheduled that in the wrong year). I changed this to a one star after reading their comment to my review. That is rude to insinuate that I wouldn't let the trainer know if I wouldn't be there. I remember having to sign something on their computer that you will be kicked out if you miss a certain number of the required sessions - NOT if you don't let the trainer know you won't be there. That was why the trainer contacted me to come in at an unscheduled time during the snowstorm because I LET HIM KNOW I couldn't come in at the scheduled time during the snowstorm. read more
