They have a variety of choices, but I can only speak to the modern dance class. Both the beginner and advanced dance classes are well taught - starting with warm-up, then some basic across-the-floor steps or technique, and ending with some choreo. The beginner modern class is every Thursday at 7:30PM and advanced is every Thursday at 7:00PM, located in 2 separate studios. It is a little bit difficult to find, but it is located in the back of a huge bldg complex, with plenty of parking available in the lot. The beginner class is perfect for those who either have not danced before or have some modern dance experience from the past, but have not danced for a while. The advanced class is for those who have some dance experience. The teachers are wonderful and really tailor the lessons to each individual. My only gripe is the cost of the classes. $17/class if you want to take one 1.5 hour class. Or you can get the 5 class card or the 10 class card option, which is cheaper (these cards have time limits though). I had bought the 5 class card once, and am taking a break as it is too expensive to maintain.

No matter what your level of experience the teachers at the Columbia Dance Center will work to your level, one on one, and bring out the inner dancer in you. The entire staff is highly experienced, dedicated and passionate about dance. Every person who walks through the door is valued, respected and seen. I have decades of dance classes behind me and I have never loved dance so much as since I found this studio. They don't teach only to the best students and leave the rest in the dust, as has been my experience in other studios. They support, respect and uplift every single dancer. The curriculum they teach is consistent among all the instructors and is very thorough. My primary instructor is Ellias and he's a Jedi Master, I swear. I learn soooo much every lesson and have a blast doing it. You have the opportunity to work with all of the instructors and practice with them. They are all so generous with their knowledge. Kindness is the culture. No snobby attitude here! People of every age, background, ability, physicality, all levels, get 100%, no dancer left behind. It is so inspiring to watch some of the people who have worked to become Incredible, competitive dancers and know they started out just like you or I did. I don't aspire to compete, just to enjoy some hot Latin social dancing, but it is fun to watch Dancing with the Stars in real life.. I am happily hooked and am here for group classes and group practice parties in addition to my private lessons many times a week. I would recommend the school for budding dancers and more skilled dancers. My daughter loves the choreography and the friends she has made so far. I have noticed an increase in her confidence and dance moves/ability in this small time period. I feel like I am getting a good deal. The classes meet twice per week, but the school offers virtual and in-person classes. They strictly follow COVID rules and do not allow parents into the facility to sit while class is in session. The registration process was quick and easy and I am able to find important information on their user-friendly website. I took adult ballet and tried my feet one year at adult hip hop. Miss Karen Daniels (the owner) is simply the best. She teaches in a way that is caring and supportive and all the while fun and awesome. You're always learning, but never feel pressured or chastised. This dance studio will always have a place in my heart. My bosses little girl took classes here too - and from him and all the other mom's i spoke with, the kids classes are out of this world as well. Highly recommended.
