I recently moved from Los Angeles to Cedar Park, Tx and purchased a HAUSLANE UC-PS18 Under Cabinet…read morerange hood. My microwave oven range hood is not satisfactory and the smoke alarm goes off all the time because I cooked a lot and generated a lot of smoke. I found TX5J Handyman ("Daniel & Crew") on Yelp and contacted them. Danel came over, did a detailed FREE inspection and gave me a competitive quote in 24 hours. I then decided to hire them for the job. They came in at 7:30 A.M. in the morning to beat the summer heat. It requires piping and extension exhaust vent directly to outside top siding. It was not an easy job but they completed the job at 2:45 p.m. I am completely satisfied and happy with Daniel & His Crew. Photo is attached "Before and After". P.S.1 It's beautiful isn't it? Yes, they even did the "white box" enclosure (so you won't see the pipe) between the roof and the under cabinet that holds the HAUSLANE range hood to make it look first class+style. Thank you for your help. You people did a good job.

I got frustrated and started a project on Yelp, TX 5J handyman responded very fast to my inquiry and came on the same day to give me estimate. Then gave me a very honest diagnosis for a short term fix and long term fix. I went with the short term for now and they came back the second day to fix it now the drain doesn't leak anymore. Daniel is very fast response to my inquiry over the text; and they did a good job fixing it at a decent price. Highly recommend for others to use them.

Customers Beware! Property Damage. False Invoices. First Time Workers. Hiring HandyMatt does not…read moremean you get Matt himself as his website and texts suggest. Instead, I received someone who was working their first day ever for Matt with no supervision or heads up. We had a fairly simple workload to get completed. Towel Rods to install and twenty or so art/pictures to be hung. After five hours (5!) we had three towel rods installed and 3 pictures hung. Barely one item per hour. I was texting Matt all throughout the day that the pace of his worker was far too slow. He acknowledged the pace was unacceptable and agreed to comp three hours from the morning to get a more appropriate pace of work to price and to allow the worker to finish the work with feedback his pace had to improve. At the end of the day the worker then spilled paint all over our brand new wood floors in the nursery and onto a Lola blanket that thankfully saved our nursery rocker from being destroyed. He got it cleaned up better than I could have expected, but that was an extra hour at bedtime with babies crying and a room smelling of strong acetone to get things back to "normal". After the fact, I never received an apology from Matt. I was sent repeated texts and emails about paying his invoice. I had provided a link to the blanket ruined which he did not properly deduct the replacement cost from the invoice. He also sent through the invoice with less hours removed than agreed to and said he had "re-assessed" what he thought was fair. That his work speed went up after my complaints so that should have somehow forgiven the snail pace to start the day that was then capped by damage to our property. Overall, the one and only redeeming quality was that the worker was kind and his craftsmanship was good. We let him keep working because his work and presence was not an issue, but his speed and quality for the hourly rate were not at all in alignment. $110/hour is a premium rate for a handyman which means a premium experience. Premium quality and premium efficiency. I made it very known he could continue working but only if his speed was more appropriate or the rate was reduced to match his performance. I left offended by all of my experiences with the person that has their name on the business. Attempting to re-negotiate an agreed upon reduced rate AFTER damage in my home occurred is a bold move to maintain a reputable business. I let Matt know multiple times I would be letting my experience go public with a review and anyone who is considering hiring HandyMatt should really think twice before proceeding.

Rebecca was wonderful to work with throughout the scheduling process and, when I had an issue with my first appointment, she listened to my concerns, stood behind the company's service, and made sure to send someone else to take care of the job. It really stood out to me how seriously she took my concerns and how committed she was to making things right. The specialist she sent out was Gilbert and he was fantastic. Gilbert was incredibly professional, efficient, and respectful of my home. He installed three ceiling fans and two faucets and completed the work far faster than I expected while still doing excellent, quality work. He was knowledgeable, helpful, and just genuinely great to work with. I would absolutely recommend Mr. Handyman, and will be requesting Gilbert anytime I need some work done in my home. Jason is absolutely phenomenal at what he does. His craftsmanship is pure perfection. We hired…read moreJason to replace a kitchen island extension that was badly botched by a previous contractor. The previous contractor had left it with visible drywall screws wide exposed cuts, etc. It looked terrible. After panicking because our countertops were scheduled for installation and looking through Jasons Yelp photos, we knew we needed to get on Jason's schedule. He books out sometimes 3 weeks, and this was last minute. We ended up delaying our countertop installation by 3 weeks in order to have him do the work. Waiting for Jason to do the work was 100% worth having a plywood island top for those 3 weeks. He showed up on time and got right to work. His cuts are precise, and the extension he built looks like it's always been there. We ended up hiring him to extend our kitchen cabinetry to the ceiling and add crown molding to it, as well as add trim pieces to our cabinets' blank sides before we had them painted. We also hired him to modify and install a wood hood over our stove top. Everything came out perfectly. We are more than impressed with his work and wouldn't hesitate to hire him again. This guy is a professional and the best kind. There was not one bad surprise with him. He even gave me some tips, as I was filling the cabinet handle holes prior to getting them painted. They came out perfectly. Thanks, Jason!
