So I decided to look around to see if I was getting the best deal. Jumped on Yelp for insurers in my area with high ratings. Went onto their site and filled in request for quote forms and waited. Out of five, two waited a week before sending me a follow up. One was rather high also. And two were very reasonable. Linda at this location not only send me a quote but followed up with a call to ask me a few questions. Those questions lead to a discount. After a couple more calls back and forward, my final cost was less than half the price of my current insurance. I gave them my credit card to cover my auto and home insurance. A few days later, I get paperwork to sign and decided to drop them off personally. Got to meet both Linda and Becki, very pleasant women. I will update my review after I make any claims

Upfront: my driving record is crap, and Anthony busted his booty to not only get me insured, but do it at a rate that wasn't highway freaking robbery. Then, he went above and beyond and reduced my home owners insurance by $400 per month with higher coverage. AND got my bike insured for less Thant previous company that I had had for 10+ years. Being a native Texan, I knew that Germania was an option for me in Texas and I went through their site for a bid. In a very short time, Mary Wehmeyer from Timmons contacted me via email and then by phone. Mary was able to get several very competitive quotes for me. More importantly, she was an advocate and advisor for me in making a decision. (Having grown up as the son of someone in insurance, my experience with Mary quickly reminded me of the advantages of an independent agent.) Mary was exceptionally patient with me both in terms of answering my questions and in getting my insurance coverage to take effect only after my current USAA policy expired. While Germania through Timmons was only slightly more expensive than insurance through a well known wholesale club, I believe that her expertise and advocacy are such an added value that it was a no-brainer to use Timmons. I am looking forward to no longer having to speak with a call center to get my auto insurance needs handled.
