After many years of using the same insurance carrier we started to have some issues with the insurance company. We knew we had to look into a new Insurance carrier, but it was so scary to even think of leaving someone that we had been with for so many years. We just kept on making the large payments and dealing with what we thought was our only options. The company that we had been covered under for so many years changed their coverage structure and their customer service was on a major decline. By chance my husband and I took our son to an outdoor event where I saw a State Farm agent table. I was like, nope. I was so agitated to even walk by there, because the only thing I knew about State Farm was the commercial and other people's bad experiences. I just thought it was going to be daunting to even have the conversation with anyone, much less with a large known Insurance carrier. My son saw a booth that he wanted to go to and I had to walk by. Allison was so amazing! It felt like it was going to be too easy, which made me very nervous. Her spirit and personality just drew me in. She made me feel at ease about transitioning to a new company from all my insurance needs. She made all the necessary transactions. We did very little on what we thought was going to be an overwhelming task. Since then we have had to file a claim with State Farm due to a house issue. We were nervous wrecks, all the things that I have ever heard about filing a claim came to mind. We were so overwhelmed to even make the phone call. The first few steps that we took we knew that we were in great hands. The whole entire State Farm team was by our side the whole way. Phone calls, emails you name it. They were there. Their customer service is one of the best I've ever experienced. I know that their motto is "Like a good neighbor State Farm is there", but it should be "like family State Farm will always be there". Because they have always made us feel so amazing. They have given us nothing but empathy, kindness, patience, and understanding. Even when we had questions or concerns about our insurance coverage, they have been phenomenal. They have always made us feel at ease offering us guidance when we are questioning what we need to do next. They are definitely like the calm of the storm. I know if I call for anything I am going to be smiling and feeling like I am in great hands by the time I hang up. I recently told one of the office team members that I wish I could call them when I'm having other problems, because they make me feel so great by the time I'm off the phone. They truly are like family. Thanks State Farm family. Allison, Kelci, Lauren, Cristina, Jessica, Sam, and Gareth we appreciate you.

For more than 50 years I used the same company, and planned on using them again here in Georgetown. However, the local agent was tone deaf when it came to our needs and then tried to upsell us by soliciting our business in the stock market. I had a Realtor in the same business complex as Michelle's office and so we walked across the parking lot to talk with her. So glad that we did! Michelle listened to our needs for our auto policies and signed us up. We met as strangers, but are now good friends. The only regret I have was not listening to Michelle when we bought our home owners insurance. Michelle recommended a lower deductible and I opted for the higher deductible. Bad choice on my part. Less than a year later hail completely destroyed our roof. Lesson learned! I guess you might say, we paid for an education! :) If you want someone that cares to really listen and has good advice... see Michelle McCoy!

She is very professional yet genuinely friendly and made sure she explained the coverages and why I might (or might not) need them. Usually you get the "call our 800# " routine but Michelle treats every customer life family. Michelle really knows insurance and she'll help you navigate the claim process to make sure you are getting the best treatment possible if you have a claim. I talked to a few local roofers/plumbers/contractors who told me that Farmers is the easiest insurance company to work with. They pay claims without a hassle and are always fair with their insured and vendors who make the repairs. Sooo different than the people I dealt with in SoCal who had forgotten what real customer service is all about. What a nice surprise.. Welcome to Texas!

    Don Homeyer's office manager gave me a home/auto quote & I paid them (consummating the deal,…read more8-25-23) before which this office manager chewed me out on the phone. On 8-28-23, I started getting calls about someone wanting to get into my property, for which I was NEVER informed beforehand by this agency. Last call was Sept 8th, the day before I realized that my property had been Broken Into Illegally. They added more Terms after the deal is made & paid for, without my knowledge/approval, which is both ILLEGAL/DISHONEST. I'm 70 years old, crippled and can't walk. I live on 10 acres behind a fenced property and a locked entrance (with a NO Trespassing Sign at the front entrance) and NO one is allowed in, NO Exceptions! All of which has been up for well over 22 years without any illegal incursions. No one has entered illegally until I mistakenly dealt with a dishonest Insurance Company (State Farm), not that State Farm is any better than other such Insurance companies (like Farmers Insurance, which pulled something similar on me like this about 9 years ago & I cancelled those 2 policies also, once they made apparent how dishonestly they operated). Had this Agency been honest and told me this upfront, I would have said FORGET it. But they did NOT! On September the 9th, I discovered that some one had illegally broke into my property, unbolted my locked cable, made illegal entry, engaged in Criminal Trespass (a "NO Trespassing" sign is one foot from the locked cable), and I believe came up to my house (in which I was asleep), took pictures etc (ROBBED me without my knowledge/permission) and when they left, they reconnected my locked cable (which a normal thief would NOT do & no personal property was missing/stolen) but reconnected my bolted/locked cable incompetently/incorrectly, making the incursion obvious. I did not sleep for days after that & I'm 70+ years old. The only people that hire such CROOKs are themselves CROOKs. I do NOT deal with dishonest crooks or antagonistic assholes that chew me out on the phone for NO justifiable reason, other than they don't like Christian Conservatives. I refused to make any subsequent payments on either Policies which were obtained from me DISHONESTLY! I have contacted State Farm and registered a formal complaint and they are investigating. But I expect NOTHING from such dishonest jerks. I have contacted the Williamson County Sheriff's Dept, but if you don't know, they are near 100% Worthless.

I called…read morethe office multiple times and asked the status and they tell me they same thing that it's still processing. I already paid for the month and I'm not canceling my current insurance until I get a sure yes from this company. When I asked how long my refund will take they told me a few weeks but it only took them 2 days to take the money from my bank account. I never get a call back. This is not the experience I was told that I would have. I've had a way better experience with another State Farm office.
