In November 2023, I called them, and Anthony (manager and co-owner) came over to assess my lawn. He spent 45 minutes with me going over my needs, but since it was approaching winter, nothing could be done at that point. In particular, Anthony identified a weed that my previous lawn care provider could not treat with their products. Overall, I was very impressed with his professional and courteous demeanor. Absolutely no hard selling whatsoever. Even after the on-site visit, Anthony answered a few follow-up emails from me. In April 2024, I contacted Heroes Lawn Care again, and Anthony remembered our conversation. He was willing to make a second visit to my lawn to review the current situation. A few days later, Anthony sent me a quote for the lawn services I needed that was very competitive. It took me 2.5 weeks to respond back to hire them, but Anthony was still able to honor the quote. I hired them for my lawn care, and slowly, the lawn started to come back from its sorry state. The summer, however, informed me that I need a sprinkler system. I called them for a sprinkler quote, and Anthony sent back a quote shortly. It was notably very competitive compared to other vendors I checked with. The sprinkler system they had is computerized, so you can program the watering schedule, and if connected to your internet, it can check the weather and adjust its water schedule. There was a parts problem with the sprinkler system after installation, and I diplomatically contacted them. They sent their technician to fix the problem without any hassle. In spring/summer 2025, the sprinkler and lawn care have kept my lawn green and the weeds are not sprouting as often. Lastly, I grew tired of using wood mulch, and started to switch to rubber mulch, but I only had so much time and stamina to place mulch myself, so I asked them to give me a quote to finish what I started. The quote was reasonable, and Anthony took the time to explain the costs. The crew came, removed weeds from the areas that needed rubber mulch, placed the mulch, and did clean up work. Our landscaping area is no longer overrun with weeds and looks tidy. I would still highly recommend giving Heroes Lawn Care a call for your lawn care.

We paid for a Nicoblock retaining wall to extend the length of our front yard ($20k+ job). Although we requested renderings or plans upfront, we were told they weren't necessary because it's 'just a wall'. Needless to say, their poor planning didn't account for a telephone pole anchor cable that was directly in line with where they placed the wall. They then switched the product at the anchor to natural stone which looks horrible and wasn't what we agreed to. After repeatedly being told they could not angle the Nicolock block wall around the anchor, we finally accepted the natural stone look (No idea where all the extra Nicolock block we paid for disappeared to as they picked it up and didn't provide us any discount or refund). We had them rebuild the natural stone portion twice because they did not properly address the slope. Now less than 18 months later, the natural stone wall has given out and we cannot get a response. They also used a chipped capstone for the portion Nicolock wall that we were assured multiple times would be replaced, still haven't heard back. Save your money and stay away from these guys as they clearly oversell their experience and work.

BULL***T! Nothing could be futher from the truth. Not only did I pay him every penny (have all the venmo receipts to prove it), but I am the one to had to chase him to catch up. Cleanup was a 2-part job, weeks apart. Rather than paying 50% each time, he asked that when I paid for the first half, that I advance money toward the 2nd half. Then, he didn't want to do the work. His behavior was very erratic the entire time. That combined with desperation for money makes me suspect a drug problem. He would message me and ask when I was going to pay him and I'd have to send him the screen shot reminding him that I paid him when he was here! As for all the sudden 5-star reviews: As of today, there are ones such as someone from Buffalo, NY with 3 reviews. Someone from Spokane, WA who has no other reviews, etc. Bernardo has trouble showing up to Queens (which is where he lives).
