No one came, however I gave them the benefit of the doubt again, given the rainy days of late and they likely were overbooked. I figured then they would come on Tuesday, the lawn would be done as the lawn is now overgrown. No one came. I called late Tuesday and left a message that I wished they had told me they were not accepting my job, I would have begun my search all over again. Nathaniel brought in an excavator, so he was able to remove the entire yew bush and its root ball in 30-40 minutes. He picked up the new tree for us from Garden in the Woods and planted it after mixing in a cubic yard of compost. Nathaniel left the work site looking perfectly clean, too. The lilac in particular needed expert pruning, it was a wonderful sight. It was full size with fantastic colors and its sweet and unique lilac scent. It was also clear its roots had become invasive.
