After traveling for 12 hours I was looking for the perfect place to grab a great meal. This place was it! Located in a cute little circle of restaurants is this romantic but not too fancy Italian restaurant. It is warm and super cozy. I ordered the grilled salmon and a side of fries. The salmon was cooked PERFECTLY and the the cauliflower mash and broccoli side was amazing. Filled with flavor and left me totally satisfied. The sides were small for the price but I was filled by the end with the fries. I went with three work friends and it was the perfect vibe for a dinner and a quick drink. This restaurant also is great for a date or a family dinner out. I would recommend this to anyone staying in this area for a great meal! read more

The food was absolutely amazing. I definitely give the food 7 stars. The only reason I didn't go 5, is the staff (really only our waitress) was a little snotty and judgemental. Too expensive for the small portions. We ordered a simple salad and a ceaser salad with chicken. The simple salad was three times the size of the ceaser salad, and cost twice as much! If you're looking for pizza and drinks, then it's a pretty good place for that. read more

This is our " go to " pizza place! Service is good and pizza is consistently delicious. We split a salad and enjoy a beer or a glass of wine. We tend to go early on the weekends due to the loud bar crowd. Sounds issues , to us, is the only downside. read more

Aspen pricing for bland food. Pizza from the wood fired oven - not special at all. Last time I got a Caesar salad with chicken breast - $18.50 for a very small unsatisfying salad with a bland chicken breast. The salad resembled half an out-of-the-bag grocery store salad. Other entrees I've had previously weren't great either. read more

The barbecued chicken pizza was very good. First time I've had coleslaw on pizza. Prices are a bit high, but not outrageous. I've been back several times. Wait staff is very friendly. One of best Italian restaurants in the area. read more

Stopped into Mezzaluna to catch their Sunday Happy Hour which posted outside of the restaurant states that it's all day only to find out from the staff they don't start until 3:30. So we went elsewhere on our first day in For vacation. We decided to try again a couple of days later and caught the tail end of Happy Hour at the bar. Kristin was the barmaid, friendly and prompt with serving us. We had a couple of guys meeting us so she kindly relocated us to the other side of the bar when some clients lad left. We ordered 3 different pizzas, one veggie, one cheese and 1 GF veggie. I was very pleased with the quality of the GF crust and there were plenty of toppings on all 3 pies. Overall, I guess it was OK pizza for being in CO. We also tried the thick cut calamari. It was cooked perfectly although the coating was heavy, seemed to be a pre made frozen product. The dipping sauce was a sweet chutney, too sweet and thick I felt. We shared a salad which was good, the guys ordered a couple of pasta dishes which were average. I don't think I'd dine here, the Happy Hour is a good deal though so for that I would return. read more

Food is mediocre, bland and service is ok.I found it to be pricy too. Best deal is to sit in bar area and order pizza for $8.00. Same pie in dinning room is $16.00. Pasta is mediocre and basically tasteless. Restaurant is decorated very nicely with local art. Bar is good. read more

We went there for a pre theatre meal on our way to Aspen. Our server, Jerome, was professional and very accomodating as we wanted to split a meal. He brought us extra plates so we wouldnt have to pay extra if the chef split it. We ordered chicken piccatta which was excellent. Also the Pinot Noir by the glass was delicious, though I dont remember the name. Loved the decor and atmosphere as well. What a great addition to Willits. Definitely will count this as one of our favorite Roaring Fork Valley restaurants. read more

all of the staff are incredibly kind, except for the manager. he was incredibly rude after we had our orders not put in, and after the staff failed to bring out the birthday cake we had brought (and given instructions for). he was also very rude to my children, who were running around outside of the restaurant, not bothering anyone. it was generally a horrible experience with him because he managed to ruin the quality of the food and service just by being so rude to us. read more

Mixed experience. One very good dish and another that was just pathetic. My son had the pappardelle bolognese which was very good. I had the penne with rock shrimp which was clearly hurriedly made in the kitchen - there was a choice of rock shrimp or free range chicken with the penne and my rock shrimp was cold and recently defrosted. I was happy my son was enjoying his meal but mine was over. Hoping I don't get sick. Very disappointed as this place looked v promising. read more

Woah. Decent Italian food and a fairly reasonable price.... in the RFV south of Carbondale? No way. But it's true. The meal we had would have easily cost 1.5 times as much at any nearby establishment. Only downside was not many menu options but if you love pasta and meats they'll have something for you. The place had a good vibe. Not to upscale but also not the local pizza joint either (which is pretty good too I might add). It's the off season and they were crowded mostly because it's a new place people want to try but once word spreads they'll have no problem keeping the tables full. Oh and the service was pretty decent also considering how many people were there. read more

As I walked around Market St in Basalt, I was trying to figure out what to eat. I eat a lot of Italian but figured I would go here anyway, and it did not disappoint. I wasn't even that hungry but I ate the spaghetti with arrabiatta sauce and I added shrimp, definitely the right choice all around. The bartender, Josue, was correctly attentive. By this I mean, he was helpful without being obnoxious. He knew when to come up and when to back off. I would definitely come back and may tomorrow during my visit for work! Thank you! read more

We ate at Mezzaluna on a Saturday night during a busy weekend in Basalt. We were able to get a table outside right away. Ordered the apple and baby spinach salad and the penne with rock shrimp to share. Both were excellent. The atmosphere inside is modern and fun. We will be back! read more

I've dined at this restaurant several times now and the food is always delicious and the staff is extremely friendly. We recently did an employee party there with a large group of us and I was beyond impressed with how well we were taken care of. They went above and beyond for our party. I will continue to be a devoted customer because of the consistent rich experience this restaurant delivers on. If you make it in, you have to try the Linguine with Wild Mushrooms. We waited patiently for a kale & farro salad, pizza and lobster \ shrimp ravioli [ridicullous]. It actually took 1:45 hrs to receive our meals! We had asked for water as the overall service was very much lacking even though prices that are listed on the menu are 5 star restaurant prices. The older waitress with her square glasses, seemed to be vex at the fact that we had to stop her for water and over all very rude.
