Who goes to Munich for Oktoberfest and has Italian for dinner? Apparently, this guy. It's one of my friend's favorite restaurants and she chose.
Service was friendly but difficult to engage. We had to go and get our waiter in order to place our dinner order. And later, we had to hunt him down in order to get and pay the check. This knocked down an otherwise excellent meal from perfect to just very good.
The food and drinks were amazing. German beers in the proper glassware. A bottle of fabulous wine. When our waiter told us the specials, I immediately went with that one. Handmade tortellini stuffed with fresh pumpkin. In a light cream sauce that complimented the flavor perfectly. It was amazing.
This is a lovely restaurant. Quite fancy, well laid out but densely packed. Other than the start and finish, the service was very good. Once we placed our orders, the wine and food arrived swiftly. It was a great meal.
They do have English menus and they do accept American credit cards. Just bring a big dose of patience and you'll be fine.
