Eric offered…read moresuggestions, devised a plan, ordered supplies and supervised the entire project from start to finish. His courteous team (Aaron and Alex) arrived on time, worked long hours, discarded old materials and cleaned up daily. They used plastic and tape to section off work areas, covered furniture and electronics and were mindful of dust control. They installed a smooth and whisper-quiet pocket door to separate our new bedroom suite (bed, bath and dressing room) from the office, guest bedroom/bath and common areas. Larger doors were hung and wall lights and switches relocated. Eric's consultation and expertise concerning electrical work was amazing. We now enjoy double plug-in wall sockets in both bathrooms. Surrounding walls were carefully drywalled and textured (by Bud) with numerous applications for a seamless finish. The result was a modern, professionally framed, and spacious look in an old house. They finished ahead of schedule to accommodate our deadline for flooring. Our home is now accessible for disability. No need to move to a roomier condo or obtain permits for code compliance. It is perfect for two people and accommodates overnight guests. KC Restorations is highly recommended for planning, communication, quality workmanship at a reasonable price and accurate deadlines. Five stars!

One of the other quotes we received was $2,600.00, and that individual did not measure, so we went with Tom and are so happy we did. We don't live at the property yet, but Tom made it very easy for us to work with him, and we totally trusted him with our home. Tom also fixed issues from the previous painters at no extra cost to us (like where they had gotten paint on the trim and moulding). He worked extremely fast with precision, kept us in the loop on issues with the house, and even fixed 2 walls for me where I mistakenly told him to paint them the wrong color. Our final interior bill came out to $3,100.00 because the house ended up needing 3 coats instead of 2 coats due to the dark color the previous owners had selected, but that also included materials and was still cheaper than one of the other quotes we had received. We liked Tom and Chris' work so much that we also selected them to paint our exterior, and they did a fabulous job. Not only did they go above and beyond by actually fixing areas of our home where the paneling was coming off and caulking it back onto the home, but they gave it a thorough power wash and coordinated the work with other exterior contractors. I have posted progress photos and will update when the work is fully final on Saturday! We highly recommend Tom and Chris for anyone seeking to paint the interior or exterior of their home!

Mark's 30 plus year experience showed when they encountered issues with the paper the mural was printed on. The artist that designed the mural had unfortunately selected a very inexpensive material to print the mural on and it required extra time and care to properly install with out effecting the print. In the end there were a few minor fixes needed that were not even Mark's issues, he returned the very next day after the paper had dried an settled to touch up. Fantastic work and professionalism. His wife is an artist and she creates custom wall paper herself, next time I might look into her for a design.

Since then Indy and his staff have painted the exterior of a former employers home in Point Loma, another friends home in East Village and one of my clients office in Bankers Hill. Let me tell you, Indy is not just a extremely detailed quality painter but he is a true "Artist"! Look at his Yelp pictures and see for yourself. Indy turned those old wood cabinets into French "Antique White" pieces of Art. I have a new Kitchen, Bath and Linen Closet because of Indy's fine craftsmanship. We found him working with neighbors. He is dependable, honest and communicates well. He explained the process and had us inspect each step as it was completed. What started out as a painting project ended up being a restoration, which in the end was a good decision. There was some wood replacement and quite a bit of sanding and filling that had to be done. After the project was complete there was a five-day extreme heat wave which caused a normal micro-movement of wood resulting in cracking of the paint at a few joints. Indy came immediately to repair it and did it without attitude. We are very happy with his work and would recommend him anytime. His prices are more than fair, his work ethic is strong, he knows his materials, he updates on progress, and stands behind his work.

There were bad patch jobs, peeling water based paint over oil paint and old cracking oil paint. Suffice to say it needed some major TLC. I must have met with a dozen companies. Some quoted 8-12k (for a 1000 sq ft house), others could do it for a reasonable price but with no guarantee on the work and said it wouldn't look that great. Jose came to the house and had a clear plan on what to do to make it look the best and keep the price reasonable. Here's why we'd recommend them to anyone. - His foreman Rene was lead on the project and did an amazing job. Overall paint & prep guru with strong attention to detail. - They use the best paint (Dunn Edwards) and it's included in the price. - They have a long guarantee on their work. - They're friendly, trustworthy and flexible. For example, we went a little too bold in one room, and they helped up picking a new color and repainted it for a small fee. They did the job back in Jan and I'm consistently looking at the walls still admiring how good they look. My friends have had painting horror stories, and I'm thankful we went with these guys.
