This company DELO DRAIN & SEPTIC SERVICE came to my house on Tuesday morning on 1/5/21 because my…read moresewer line in the basement backed up and flooded an area there. After 2 hours of work, that we paid $443.70, we were told the problem had been fixed as they cleaned out these sewer lines inside and outside the house. We thanked the young man profusely and paid in full with a check. Well, the problem returned 2 days later, 1/7/21 around 6 PM and the water/waste was worse this time. I called Bob at DELO right away , left a message that the problem returned. Bob called back an hour later and just cursed me out with profanities so intimidating , I had to report him to the East Aurora Police Dept. which I did. The police told me not to stop payment on the check as that would be stealing services, however that I should take him to Small Claims Court in Holland,NY , that I will be doing. I have also contacted the NYS Attorney General Consumer Affairs Dept.and the BBB department regarding this company and their services. PLEASE DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH DELO DRAIN & SEPTIC SERVICE because other research has shown me this Bob has intimated other customers back in 2014 as well. Another firm fixed and explained our problem on Friday, 1/8/21 at half the cost !

He quoted us $500 to empty the tank (which we knew was not full) and snake the pipes. He ended up finally emptying the tank when he came back the next day and then never snaked the drain because he said he could hear water coming in, still charged $500 plus tax. Three weeks later we had a backup again.... we had the filter cleaned out, $100 and didn't fix it, so we called Roy's, they came out and put a camera down the pipe, it was clogged. Roy's ended up having to snake it costing us an additional $500 plus tax. We ended up having to pay almost $700 additional and had more damage to our finished basement because they could not do the job they told us from the beginning they were going to do.

Josh was slow and hard to get a hold of. It took over 6 months to complete replacing our septic. Josh would show up an hour here and and our there. The wrong sand was delivered, ruining our lawn and turning it into a pond. He left tools scattered about. He never filled in the old septic which later caved in. We have 4 children and many animals, luckily no one was injured. We gave Josh several calls to come fix. Our backyard looked like a war zone. And pipes sticking put, no clean up, he didn't salvage any topsoil so we had to order dirt, dig up area where the wrong sand created a pond, fill in old septic, remove mounds of shale and rocks, regrade our back lawn. Josh was asked to make it right. He took 700 dollars of which didn't even cover the cost of dirt. After notifying the County, we decided to fill in the tank, grade our lawn, dig up bad sand, fix protruding pipes and reseed our lawn. Thankfully we have friends that were able to help. I pity the people who he does work for that don't have friends with heavy equipment. The County has been notified and will be watching when he comes for future permits. I regret leaving this review, my husband gave Josh every opportunity to do the right thing. I hope Josh grows and learns from these mistakes and no one gets hurt.
