My husband and I just returned from an absolutely wonderful stay at the Darius Inn. While we have…read morebeen coming to Block Island for the last 10yrs, we decided to stay at the Darius on the recommendation of a friend. So glad we did! The Inn owners, Becca and Christy are warm & welcoming, their Inn follows suit. It is clear they have spent a great deal of time and effort into every detail of their Inn. They make their guests feel right at home! If you have ever stayed on Block Island, you know the inns are old, the rooms are small, the floors are creaky, sometimes have inadequate or no air conditioning and (okay, maybe some are even haunted?) The Darius has done an amazing job of taking all the charming qualities of a historic Inn but making the rooms super comfortable by modern standards. Comfortable beds, comfortable pillows, fluffy towels, a very quiet, yet efficient air conditioner, soap that smells ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! They have thought of everything. A library of books and games, a (very clean) communal fridge so you can keep items cold but don't lose space in your room, a lovely lawn with flower gardens, outdoor eating space, grill, beach chairs and towels, which are, get this, COMPLIMENTARY. Now, let's talk PC (Post-Covid) reality of traveling. It's scary, but they've got it handled. First off, our room was spotless! More so, I commend the Inn keepers on finding a way to manage all of the things that make their Inn special in this new environment. They detail all of their protocols online with a request to read prior to arrival, and we observed these practices in action. The owners and staff are clearly taking precautions seriously, and I think everyone can appreciate that reassurance right now. For example: They serve their absolutely delicious (healthy) breakfast in a "To Go" fashion, so each item is served in the most adorable individual tupperware with a lid. (No one's breathing on your breakfast) and you can eat in the comfort of your own room or safely outdoors. The breakfast changed daily and EVERYTHING WAS SO GOOD! All in all, we had a truly amazing stay. We are thankful for the hospitality and can't wait to return!

First off, there was "Robyn"- I'd heard previous reviews , but honestly; until you meet her, you just have no idea how special this woman is!! When I say, she's a ray of sun shine-I mean it. She exudes positivity, kindness, graciousness!! She greeted us immediately, and gave us a brief orientation. Offered us lemon infused water, showed us where we can grab fluffy beach towels,, etc. gave us a tour of the grounds and incredible views. Then she showed us our room. She was extremely knowledgeable about the area-and made some wonderful dining recommendations. Our room was very cute. It has a country cottage appeal-bedding was high quality, as were the bath towels and toiletries. Our bed was so comfortable with the best pillows I've ever slept on. Bath robes were also provided, which was also such a nice touch. Our daily breakfast delivery was very special. I loved all of it-there was such an attention to detail-like a ramekin of Maldon salt flakes to add to the tomatoes on my lox and cream cheese bagel. Orange juice and coffee press every morning, and always a well balanced breakfasts. Eating off of hand crafted pottery made the meals even more appealing. I loved all those special touches. Any time we'd see Robyn in passing, she would always greet us with her beautiful smile and wonderful energy. She is such an asset to sea breeze. I'm sure the proprietors must know what an absolute gem they have in Robyn. Our room was close to the main road-so we did have to deal with a bit of street noise, however, it was also ticked all the way in back, which felt more private than some of the other cottages.
