Conchas are so delicious, my family hides them from each other to eat throughout the day!

Service is always friendly and helpful. My family loves their tamales and my kids especially love their selection of snacks and drinks. Fresh pan dulce, the aroma fills the air. This store is silvery clean and organized. Highly recommend this place!

What a treat! Growing up in South Texas/Rio Grande Valley, this place was such a great find! From the candy selection, to the fresh, homemade tamales, tacos, and empanadas - I felt like I was right back in one of the bodegas on the west side of San Antonio.

Mexico De Lindo is a small Mexican store at 1201West Tudor . It's between Minnesota and Artic . It's a small store but their inventory is huge . I guarantee if you are cooking a Mexican meal and need a special ingredient or if you are just looking for something you found while visiting Mexico they will have it . Now let me tell you about the newest and best thing about Mexico De Lindo ... they have their own in house bakery and the owner( baker ) was one of the top bakers at LAroma Bakery in town for many years . He learned how to bake growing up in Mexico , when as a small boy ,he helped out at a bakery in his neighborhood . He was such a good worker and so passionate about baking that the owner took him under his wings and taught him everything he knew I've posted several pictures of their baked delights . My favorite Guayaba Con Queso pastries ( guava with cheese were heavenly . They were so good and so affordable ! I plan on taking them to my book club this month ! They also have conchas and orejos . You will have to stop in and try all of these .

Went in for some guava and cheese pastry. Not what I was used to as the bread was soft, sweet, buttery and crumbly almost like a sugar cookie. I very much prefer a puff pastry, but nonetheless it was still good. Saw a sign for carne asada tacos. I really eating at mom and pop shops and at hole on the walls so I ordered a couple tacos. The crane asada is well seasoned and super fresh (I went in early noon). The tortilla was toasted perfectly and was topped with guacamole salsa. I think if they had a salsa verde or salsa rojo, it would've been even better. Overall, I really enjoyed the freshness of the carne asada and appreciate the quality of the taco altogether.

Man lately I just been giving 5 out of 5 and part of me feels like I'm being 2 damn NICE lol. Nah man this place deserves it bro. Reminds me of a REAL BODEGA no not that phony "la bodega/bodega" place in Anchorage that sells craft beer lmfao. Listen craft beer is cool but when you call it BODEGA nah G. Change the name. Mexico Lindo gives off the same exact vibe of when you walking down the street somewhere in the Bronx in NYC and you want some snacks. Same vibe man. They got hella snacks, spanish soda and EVEN fresh baked Mexican bread bro. Yes son in Alaska. Location is far tho near airport BUT if in the area check it out for sure.

    Drinks on drinks.

Wow y'all, wow. I…read moreknow tensions are high and we're getting cabin fever, but can we please show some empathy for the people that are out on the front lines? Fred Meyer's employees put themselves at risk of infection every day. They are overworked and understaffed and underpaid. They, along with medical professionals and first responders, are keeping us alive right now. The only difference is that they are paid and respected much less by our society. To clear a few things up: Instacart: is not owned by Fred Meyer. If you have a problem with them, you shouldn't put that on Fred Meyer. Also: Instacart workers are also on the front lines, and need your compassion. It's a GOOD THING: that grocery stores are being strict about returns. THIS DISCOURAGES HOARDING, in addition to being SAFE. In times like this, we should only buy what we NEED. OK, so with that soapbox out of the way: Freddies is doing a great job, all things considered. Social distancing markers are in place on the floors. Employees are constantly sanitizing and/or changing out gloves. Food is getting re-stocked only days after the hoarders take it all. Despite all the added strain, employees remain cheerful and eager to help. Oh, and they are keeping alcohol sales going...essential indeed. Let's be nice, and keep it classy, Anchorage. We'll get through this.

We pulled up and I got excited before I even walked in. Keep your empty cleaned out bottles and jars because ladies and gentlemen we can now buy bulk item with out all the plastic from the big stores. They also have empty jars for $.50 if you need them. They have everything from raw nuts, fruit, vegetables, shampoo and toothpaste tablets. We walked around and looked and then decided on a few items We got small jars of a shea butter lotion, amazing! Also picked up some lip balms I believe we got three different ones. Also Amazing! I picked up some wheat berries so I can mill some flour for bread. Speaking of bread, they also sell bread made locally. They sell cookies and coffee made with beans and syrups they sell. We left with a bunch of goodies to try and takes about our next trip and what we will get. I'm changing our eating habits this year. We are making everything at home. No fast food all home cooked. Well except today when we had to eat, but we choose well with our food. lol we are eating clean now so if your looking to change your eating habits, or want to get away from all the plastic and buy local, stop in and have a look. Review of New Sagaya City Market - Anchorage, Alaska…read more Five weeks ago, I moved from San Francisco to Anchorage, settling near the downtown area. One of my first missions was to find a coffee spot that felt like home--a place with not just great coffee, but genuine people behind the counter. After trying a handful of cafes, a neighbor suggested New Sagaya City Market, just two blocks from my house. What a win. The market itself offers high-end, quality products. Yes, prices are a bit higher than what you'd find at Walmart or Target, but coming from San Francisco, I was prepared for that. What truly sets this place apart, though, isn't just the products--it's the people. From the very beginning, the baristas here have shown me the most consistent and heartfelt customer service I've experienced since moving to Anchorage. They don't just serve coffee; they connect with you, listen to your stories, and make you feel like part of the community. Today was a perfect example. I slipped in the parking lot (rookie mistake--no spikes on my shoes for the icy ground). After two kind gentlemen helped me up, I walked inside with my spilled coffee. Annie, a new barista I hadn't met before, immediately offered me a fresh cup with such kindness and care. That small gesture meant so much--it wasn't just about the coffee, it was about feeling seen and supported. I also want to shout out Monica and Shea, who I met when I first arrived five weeks ago. They've been consistently amazing--funny, charming, and genuinely interested in conversations about life, community, and even my adventures back in San Francisco. Every time I come in, I leave feeling lighter, happier, and more connected. Thank you, Annie, Monica, and Shea, for making New Sagaya City Market my go-to coffee spot. You've given me more than great coffee--you've given me a sense of belonging in a new city. --- Would you like me to make this version short and punchy for Google/Yelp reviews, or keep it longer and more storytelling-focused for something like a blog or social post?
