The waiter then came to say they were out. Which is confusing for a full bar. But ok. My boyfriend ordered a Philly cheesesteak and coleslaw. The sandwich was dry and he only ate about half. The meant tasted like it had been microwaved. I ordered the padres burger and tots. I took about two bites before the bun turned to mush and fell apart in my hands. I peeled the bun off in attempt to eat the meat inside. The bacon was so hard and overcooked. The waiter came to ask how the food was and my boyfriend said it was gross but we were hungry so he ate half and asked if half the price of his sandwich could be removed. A couple minutes later, a woman came over to ask what was wrong. He said the food was not good and she responded aggressively "oh but you ate it" and pointed at my food. I looked at her and said "what, I'm eating my food" and she got very angry. She then stormed off while yelling across the restaurant at us. She stated I looked at her funny. My boyfriend asked if she was the manager and she replied "does it matter?" and continued to argue across the restaurant making a scene. The lady in the booth in front of us turned to say she was in fact the owner. My boyfriend said "I offered to pay for half of it" she then replied "I'm comping it so you guys can leave." Super crazy aggressive energy from the start. This was our first and last time, what a joke.

The only drawback is it's a much older crowd because it's located next to a senior center. I'd say the average age is 60-65. If you don't mind dancing with seniors, then it's a nice place. Food isn't that great, typical bar food. Lots of free parking on their private lot. On nights where there's no free bands playing, you could play pool for $1 a game I think. Cheap entertainment. Bartenders are nice.

It's located in the corner next to T-Mobile in the Poway Plaza on Poway Rd in Poway. There's an open parking lot with ample stalls for customers in the plaza. There was live music when we arrived at around 5pm and apparently really good happy hour of the light bites (peep at menu)! It was BOGO free appetizers from 3-7pm from Sun-Thurs and 3-6pm from Fri-Sat - CRAZY! I've never been to somewhere with that option during peak dinner hours! My boyfriend and I ordered their Surf & Turf Quesadilla and their Crab Cake. The quesadilla was quite good. There wasn't much shrimp but a lot of carne asada which was very tender. There was also a cheese pull! The pico de gallo that came with the quesadilla really impressed my boyfriend that he asked for extra. It was really good LOL nice kick to it as well. The crab cake was not the best at all. The initial bute with the sauce and coleslaw was good! But the following bites were meh. There didn't seem to be any good crab... and the flavor was really meh. We didn't expect the crab cake to have a sauce, so we ended up eating that first and then took half our quesadilla home as it was a lot of food. My boyfriend and I ordered two rounds of Stella Artois, and I thought the beers both times weren't that great. The two rounds didn't have the nice malt sweetness. I did not like the drink at all unfortunately. Overall, that BOGO free appetizer and live music really sold us. The prices of the appetizers were also very good. We'd probably get another drink and appetizer if we're ever here again. Thankfully the appetizer/light bites list was extensive and had a lot to choose from!

The quality of the food is consistently solid, and their breakfast meats stand out compared to other diners. Drinks at the bar are always well-made--I usually go for lemon drops or margaritas, and the balance is spot on. The space was clean and inviting, and we were seated quickly after we arrived. Since it's also a bar, it was definitely on the louder side. We were still able to have a conversation, but it was a bit noisy. Our server, Jane, was great. She answered all of our questions and gave us recommendations by sharing her personal favorites, the restaurant's top sellers, and describing how each dish tasted. She was very knowledgeable and thorough with the menu, which made ordering easy. It did take a little while for our food to come out, but once it arrived, I ordered the Wagyu Beef Sliders, and my friend had the Short Rib Mac & Cheese. The sliders were just okay for me. The beef was cooked more on the well-done side than I would have preferred, and the toasted bun was a little too hard. The sliders tasted a bit dry, so I found myself adding ketchup to almost every bite. On the other hand, my friend really enjoyed the Short Rib Mac & Cheese. They said it was super cheesy, gooey, and melted in your mouth. The short rib added a rich, savory flavor, and the crispy onions gave the dish a nice little crunch that balanced out the creamy texture. Even though my meal didn't quite hit the mark, I'd definitely come back to try other menu items. Jane's service was great, and based on my friend's meal, it seems like there's plenty more on the menu worth exploring.
