I had been to Bob Maley dental for over 15 years, and always recommended them to friends, colleagues, and random Facebook groups. I've had great care with Carmen, my favorite hygienist there and Dr. Maley over the decades. However, they are NOT kid-friendly. While their hygienist for kids (Stefanie?) was amazing and had great bedside manner, we had major disastrous dental care for our child while there with the transition to Saint City Dental. We had taken our son there every single year as directed since he had teeth. We were never offered radiographs/x-rays at 4 or 5 years of age, and when he had them for the first time at the age of 6, was diagnosed with a LOT of cavities. We asked if we needed to be referred to a pediatric dental specialist or if they could do it and they said they were confident they could do it under 2 staged procedures under nitrous. To make a long story short, dental malpractice occurred, we never had "advised/recommended follow up" post-fillings, and it wasn't until I noticed brown decay myself and rechecked that it was determined that 3/4 of his 8 fillings "fell out." After self-referring to a pediatric dental specialist and paying over $6,000 in general anesthesia costs, an extraction, separator, and multiple crowns, I can firmly say RUN AWAY from this place if you have children. Go to a pediatric specialist in dentistry for your kids - not a routine dentist designed for adults who has no business advertising as treating children. As a medical profession, I get that "stuff happens." But to have 3/4 of 8 fillings fall out is medically egregious. The communication was abysmal, as was the "customer service" by Meredith, the practice manager on returning calls regarding these issues. Avoid with children for sure.

I am sharing this experience so other patients can make informed decisions regarding what I believe…read morewere unethical and questionable billing practices. Before treatment, I was provided pricing for specific dental services for my children and was given quoted amounts. Different services were later performed without any discussion or authorization regarding changes in treatment or cost. I paid the balances presented at the time of each appointment which matched the quote for services I was provided earlier. About a month after treatment, I received an additional bill for nearly $600 for services that had never been discussed or approved. After multiple calls attempting to resolve the issue, the office refused to honor the original pricing and instead suggested I "split the difference." My primary concern is the lack of transparency and informed financial consent. Patients should not receive significantly higher bills after treatment for services that were never clearly explained or authorized. In my opinion, these practices raise serious ethical concerns and undermine trust between provider and patient. Because of this experience, I intend to file a complaint with the Minnesota Board of Dentistry, the Minnesota Attorney Generals office and my insurance provider. I cannot in good conscience recommend this business to others.

Do NOT take your young children here!!!!!…read more My 5 year old son was completely TRAUMATIZED this morning going in for his first filling and my husband had to carry him out before the work was completed. The dentist was impatient and rude to both my child and husband. They had a movie on for him and when he said he couldn't see it, the dentist responded, "we aren't going to compete," and shut it off. Nervous for the visit, they attempted to give him laughing gas. The mask was uncomfortable and the dentist snapped, "stop it! You're fine!" My husband expressed his concern about moving forward as my son was still visibly upset and stressed after several minutes of laughing gas. She said that he'll calm down after receiving novocaine. As soon as she applied the first needle, he screamed and started to flail. She held him down until my husband said to stop, that it wasn't safe with these conditions. Had she been more patient and talked calmer with my son, he may have trusted her more and the filling could have been done. Now he is numb for no reason. I called the dentist and she tried to tell me that SHE explained it wasn't safe while that upset, except it was MY husband who urged her to stop. She should not be considered a family or children's dentist. We will never be back.

Jodi on the front desk staff has been rude, cold, and passive aggressive. Jodi gets very defensive and blunt when I would verify my billing questions with her. The billing situation is bad, they add credit card fees, steep no show fees inside of 48 hours, and don't work with you on bills. Jodi is always incredibly passive aggressive that I did not partake in their text reminders, because when I did I was bombarded with text blasts. I strongly suggest that anyone who goes here double check every line of their bill. When I asked to speak directly with the dentist about my concerns, Jodi brushed me off and refused to connect me, which made the whole experience even more frustrating. With a standing disagreement on one bill, and the inability to speak directly to the owner of the business, they dropped me as a patient within less than a month of being seen. Also if you're a parent you should know they take pictures of all the kids that go to their practice and post them for anybody to see, I feel as though that is not a safe practice for the local neighborhood. The whole experience still leaves me feeling taken advantage of and completely disrespected. I would never recommend this place to anyone if they have to talk to Jodi. If you care about being treated decently and not getting nickel and dimed for everything, stay away from Brimhall Dentistry.

This office is not huge so it's not a factory style dental office that will move you in and out fast to just make a buck. This clinic gives you a good feeling the minute you enter. It has a calm type of Aura which is nice when having dental work done. The people are all friendly and remembered my name when I returned on a follow up appointment. I was super impressed by the technology in this office outstanding! The dentist knows what he is doing and had no problems getting me numb I didn't even feel the injection. I was impressed with Dr. Nicholas Schulte I will tell everyone I know about this office. If your looking for a new dental Community look no further and call Brimhall dental.
