I called and was asked for some information over the phone and was given a general estimate. Mourad came out to measure a couple days later and confirmed the type of window (triple pane). He order the glass and it was ready within a week. He returned to install the window and finished the repair in just 1-2 hours. Mourad was very professional, showed up every time on time, worked cleanly, and generally was great to deal with. I would trust this company with all types of window repair.

They could fix it in a week after getting the right parts. Great service. BUT- the quote was $250, which I thought sounded too high a price. So I investigated YouTube videos, ordered the parts for $10 and fixed it in about 30 minutes. Rating: 5 for promptness, 1 for cost. Averaged to a 3 overall.

Yelp offers the option to send the request to multiple businesses, and that's great because it avoids having to call around. The problem is it can generate a flood of responses. The calls and messages started to pour in, just like the rain in our broken window. Several people responded they could make it on Monday, while others told us they could happily be there earlier and just as happily charge us for "emergency response." Then I heard from Capital Glass. They could be here in an hour and only charge "Monday" prices. I happily agreed. I was dealing with incoming rain, a window that needed to be fixed sooner rather than later, and a bunch of incoming calls. With all that, I didn't bother to look at Capital Glass' Yelp rating. If I had, I probably wouldn't have used them because they had no reviews. I also would have missed out on repairing my window at a reasonable cost. They were at my house within the hour and quickly boarded the window. They removed the broken window frame and brought it back, with fresh glass installed, in a few days.

Of course, since I'm not in a position to replace the window, and the window is so old, there were constraints about how nice the window could be fixed up to. Mehdi was very clear and honest about the parameters of the fix, and in setting expectations about what was and wasn't possible. The one negative thing to say is that better expectations could have been set about time of arrival (Medhi was a bit later than discussed). This was not an issue for me today on the day of the fix but, I can see it being an issue in another context.

At 9:30 am, when I called to inquire about their arrival, Zac initially said he didn't have an address, then Zac claimed they were stuck at a job they started at 6 am. That sounded odd, or that was one heck of a window repair. I never received a call letting me know they were running late, however, I took Zac up on his new offer to come Sunday at 10, again a no-show with no explanation. I consider myself lucky that they didn't show, who knows what the work quality is like, with such shoddy business practices.
