Paige is the best! She did my Relaxation Massage and it is indeed relaxing!…read more I happen to be recovering from some type of flu virus. I decided to do hot yoga that day at 9:30 am. Although yoga helped making me feel better, I decided to go for a massage. I was trying my luck that day to get accommodated without reservation. I walked in, was greeted by the lovely receptionist and asked how she can help me. I told her I wanted a massage. She checked her computer and luckily I only have to wait 1 hour. This Eccotique branch is conveniently located inside Metrotown mall. I could definitely spend 1 hour window shopping. Five minutes prior to my appointment I was already back at Eccotique. I was lead inside and was asked to sit on a couch and wait for my masseuse. I was offered water or tea while I wait. After five minutes, my masseuse came and introduce herself. My masseuse' name is Paige. She then lead me to a private room. The room is of adequate size. Enough for a massage bed and for the masseuse to move around. I was asked to sit on the bed and was told to close my eyes. Paige then pressed her oil damped thumb on my forehead as she asked me to inhale deeply. She did this 3 times each with different aroma oil. I ended up choosing the Rosemary Mint oil. Paige then stepped out of the room and asked me to undress and go under the sheets face down. While waiting, I noticed the relaxing music playing in the background. I hear the sounds of the ocean and then birds. It was really pleasant to the ears. Before starting the massage, Paige asked if I have any injury or if I have parts of my body that I don't want pressure on. I am typically healthy so went for a full body massage. It was heavenly. I like that Paige would always check if the pressure is acceptable. I'm not a masochist. I don't like hurting myself more so paying the person who hurts me! I like my massage to be just right. I can say I went out of that spa a changed person. I felt so relax and loose. It felt like I can do another round of 90 minute hot yoga. This spa is highly recommended.

I appreciate the ease of communication and how knowledgeable Terry is. He's very honest and will give you all the information you need. Today, January 25,2022, I did the Scarlet RF. I was supposed to do this procedure last year but had to hold off because of personal reason. I've already did consult last year but Terry wanted to do another one to make sure all my concerns and questions are addressed. I used to go to a different skin clinic before. Unfortunately, the other clinic has gone too busy and too commercialized. The personal touch is gone in my opinion. One thing I like about The One Skin is how they make you feel they care about you. Terry is very kind and you can feel his sincerity. The whole procedure took almost 3 hours including post care. I'm not going to lie. The procedure is painful but tolerable. The numbing cream really helped. The package I bought includes 3 sessions of Scarlet RF, 3 post procedure care and 3 peeling treatments done 2 weeks after SRF. It's just my first session and I feel very good. I will update this review once I completed the 3 sessions. So far so good!

Sadly I have to write a review. I had gone in to the salon and asked the receptionist I need…read moresomeone that is skilled at balayage technique. She was a short girl with dark hair who recommended Nima. I have worked in the hairdresser industry so I even used the right terminology plus pictures to express the look I was going for. He said no problem at all and I trusted he understood what I wanted. The day of my appointment, I reiterated a second time what I wanted. Not close to the roots. Balyage effect..level 6 nothing near 9 etc. He started using foils and weaving thin pieces. I asked "oh do you not do the free had technique because it looked like what he was doing was highlights. He replied " oh the type of bleach we use doesn't work with that method. As a stylist, I have never ever heard of this excuse or reason for not wanting to give the client what they preffered. My second gut feeling thought he has been doing this for years after he expressed very much about his past accomplishments so I ignored my instinct. I then noticed he was taking globs of bleach and slapping it on, no weathering technique even..nothing. When it was done, he never showed me the back. I did tell him I really like it but the lighting in there was deceiving. It wasn't until I walked out I noticed both in the mall and had some friends asked what happened. The manager called me after I expressed my concern seeing I paid over $300 bucks... and she didnt really have my empathy..or concern.. Other than yea he can re do it for you. When I expressed everything I just wrote...she replies " oh well I wasn't there so.. Jut super passive and u professional. I looked at the reviews and pretty much saw the exact same complaint scrolled down from 2016. As much as I adored Nima and his personality, at the end of the day...receptionists..and manager, if you know for a fact that their specialty isn't Balyage..don't recommend a stylist that clearly couldn't achieve the modern technique of it. I can't risk again going back to the same stylist if even if I wanted highlights, that in itself showed some poor results. I will take the hit as I cant risk more damage.

Physical distancing and covid19 preventative measures are all in place and I felt comfortable having my pedicure done. The only thing was that there is no washroom available, so I had to b-line it to the mall bathroom, afterwards. Also, when I called to book, I wasn't told that the West location was closed and I had to hoof it to the other side of the mall, to the East location. I developed a rare skin condition (don't worry, I'm not contagious) that I was really conscious and insecure about people seeing. I became even more stressed about it knowing that I was going to be on stage for the world to see. But I was so fortunate to have Tessa's expertise and nurturing touch to help settle my nerves. She provided me with a body exfoliation followed by a body bronze (spray tan). It was MAGIC! My skin felt and looked amazing. My body was smooth and had a wonderful healthy glow - it honestly looked very natural (not "the orange" that people typically associate with spray tans). With proper care, it lasted me for weeks and I received so many wonderful compliments on my tan. I'm happy to know of a healthier alternative to tanning salons. Most important was that it made me feel more confident in my skin and my condition was definitely less noticeable. To have Tessa and her team available was a huge relief and brought me great comfort. Thank you again Tessa, Jennifer, and Amber of Mojo Mobile Spa! My facial, body massage, exfoliation and bronzing was allowed me to have competed confidently in Miss Universe Canada 2014.

Tessa, the owner, makes you feel at ease right from the very beginning when you call to inquire/book with them. By the end you feel like family (the good kind). The services are of the highest standard and quality, with proper healthcare standards adhered to throughout the visit. The entire team is friendly, outgoing, funny and a true pleasure to welcome into my home. I, along with others received a variety of services including massage, facials, manis and pedis. Everyone including myself couldn't stop talking about them for the rest of the night, and most of us still bring it up to this day. Definitely plan of having Mojo's over again! My massage and pedicure were amazing, those ladies have magic fingers, I felt completely relaxed and truly pampered, all from the comfort of my own home where my friends and I could drink some bevies and enjoy appetizers, then settle in for the rest of our girls day/night. Highly recommend for a bridal party or staff appreciation, or even just a fun girls night like ours. Also great for elderly people like my grandma who has trouble leaving the house but always likes to be pampered and feel her best! Two thumbs up to Tessa and her amazing team. When I asked Jiya why facials were not listed on their website, she said they "do not offer it to everyone" -- essentially admitting this service is outside the scope of their licensing with Fraser Health. During the appointment, Jiya spent 20 minutes complaining about her personal breakup, saying her boyfriend ended their two-year relationship because she is Hindu, he is Sikh, and his mother refused the marriage -- completely unprofessional and irrelevant. The next day, I returned to request a refund. Staff acknowledged my damaged skin, took photos, and contacted the owner. I went to Amy today for a mole removal service. She has a little room in the back of a hair salon,…read morethe atmosphere is very clean which is great. She had me lie down on a bed and gave me sort of a mini facial to clean my face first. Then she shone a big white light in my face (much like the ones at a dentist office) and dabbed my moles in what I assumed was antiseptic. I closed my eyes at this point since it's my first time and I am a little nervous. The whole process just felt like a little needle pricking you, it was a little painful but nothing significant. I think I was bleeding the entire time as she kept on wiping the spots after each time. The process is very fast, about 5 minutes for the whole pricking sensation. I am giving 3 stars for now because my moles look like little angry red dots at this moment, and I can't tell if the treatment worked. I will come back in 10 days (the number of days I'm supposed to wait for the wound to scab over and peel off by itself) and edit this post to tell you all about how it went! ==================== 8 days later: All my wounds scabbed over and peeled off by itself. One of them is completely gone while the two other ones are faint, but still there. I went back to Amy for a free touch-up on the two dots that are still there. She was great! Booked a same day appointment, same procedures (the facial + removal). I am editing my rating to 5 stars. :) For everyone who's wondering what the price is, it was $85 for 3 moles, not very large, just a dot, but very dark in colour. I think her price is decent. Sure you could get moles removed for $10/mole at beauty salons, but I'd prefer someone who's registered, after all, it's your face, right?
