I appreciate the ease of communication and how knowledgeable Terry is. He's very honest and will give you all the information you need. Today, January 25,2022, I did the Scarlet RF. I was supposed to do this procedure last year but had to hold off because of personal reason. I've already did consult last year but Terry wanted to do another one to make sure all my concerns and questions are addressed. I used to go to a different skin clinic before. Unfortunately, the other clinic has gone too busy and too commercialized. The personal touch is gone in my opinion. One thing I like about The One Skin is how they make you feel they care about you. Terry is very kind and you can feel his sincerity. The whole procedure took almost 3 hours including post care. I'm not going to lie. The procedure is painful but tolerable. The numbing cream really helped. The package I bought includes 3 sessions of Scarlet RF, 3 post procedure care and 3 peeling treatments done 2 weeks after SRF. It's just my first session and I feel very good. I will update this review once I completed the 3 sessions. So far so good!

The consultation process was nice, they took their time when assessing my skin and asked me what my concerns and goals were which was great. You can tell that they have experience, and have a lot of skin knowledge. I did a hydrofacial to clear my congested skin, and a carbon laser peel after that (my first time for laser skincare). Because laser causes redness and damage to the skin, they provide a free "postcare treatment" where they cool down the skin with gels, serums, and a mister while you relax, that was a nice touch. I look amazing, my pores are smaller, my skin is really radiant and even, and there is this noticeable glow. Most importantly my visible acne and redness are reduced as well. I am really happy. I wanted to come back to do some Botox, so I spoke with the doctor while I was there. She was informative, gentle, and professional. I am excited to come back. - And they have everything here: They have laser, IPL, micro-needling, PRP, hair-removal, tattoo-removal, etc. This was so nice to find in Burnaby. I would highly recommend it, even if it means coming from Vancouver.

Sadly I have to write a review. I had gone in to the salon and asked the receptionist I need…read moresomeone that is skilled at balayage technique. She was a short girl with dark hair who recommended Nima. I have worked in the hairdresser industry so I even used the right terminology plus pictures to express the look I was going for. He said no problem at all and I trusted he understood what I wanted. The day of my appointment, I reiterated a second time what I wanted. Not close to the roots. Balyage effect..level 6 nothing near 9 etc. He started using foils and weaving thin pieces. I asked "oh do you not do the free had technique because it looked like what he was doing was highlights. He replied " oh the type of bleach we use doesn't work with that method. As a stylist, I have never ever heard of this excuse or reason for not wanting to give the client what they preffered. My second gut feeling thought he has been doing this for years after he expressed very much about his past accomplishments so I ignored my instinct. I then noticed he was taking globs of bleach and slapping it on, no weathering technique even..nothing. When it was done, he never showed me the back. I did tell him I really like it but the lighting in there was deceiving. It wasn't until I walked out I noticed both in the mall and had some friends asked what happened. The manager called me after I expressed my concern seeing I paid over $300 bucks... and she didnt really have my empathy..or concern.. Other than yea he can re do it for you. When I expressed everything I just wrote...she replies " oh well I wasn't there so.. Jut super passive and u professional. I looked at the reviews and pretty much saw the exact same complaint scrolled down from 2016. As much as I adored Nima and his personality, at the end of the day...receptionists..and manager, if you know for a fact that their specialty isn't Balyage..don't recommend a stylist that clearly couldn't achieve the modern technique of it. I can't risk again going back to the same stylist if even if I wanted highlights, that in itself showed some poor results. I will take the hit as I cant risk more damage.

In return, she doesn't make any comments about your manky, troll feet and you chat, laugh and leave with amazing toes! Lavina is amazing and sweet and it was nice to see the lovely April, at this location. Physical distancing and covid19 preventative measures are all in place and I felt comfortable having my pedicure done. The only thing was that there is no washroom available, so I had to b-line it to the mall bathroom, afterwards. Also, when I called to book, I wasn't told that the West location was closed and I had to hoof it to the other side of the mall, to the East location. I was a tad late, but no biggie, I didn't feel rushed and was given the full peep toe pedi :)

Basically I waited 6 months to finally get an appointment which was already pushed back as I didn't have a referral for the specific problem I went here for, because they couldn't bill it. He told me he would order a complete blood panel for vitamin deficiencies. It's been almost a year and have never been given that panel, so now I have to go back to the regular doctor and get them to order it. The other reviewers are right, all they care about is money, and this has cost me a ton of time and my health, and money for the gas. I'm tired of poor medical service, and even though it's billed to our government we should still be receiving proper medical care, because the governments money is also our money.

She's not an expert in cancer or cancer treatment. It was a pretty horrible experience.

My appointment was scheduled for 1:15 PM for a 60-minute service, but I was not brought into the room until around 1:25 PM. By 2:27 PM, I was already back in my car, so it did not feel like I received the full service I paid for. I was also unhappy with how my hair was left afterward. It was still half dry and not presentable to walk out with, so I ended up leaving with my hair tied in a bun instead of properly finished. Unfortunately, this experience also ruined part of my Mother's Day celebration, which made it even more upsetting. Sadly, I will not be returning. Update: After I originally posted feedback about my experience, the business first offered a partial refund, then agreed to a full refund. However, they later stated the refund would only be processed if I removed my Google review. As of now, no refund has been issued. I no longer feel comfortable with how the situation was handled. I'm sharing this update so others are aware of the full experience, including post-service communication.
