Their menu includes variety of vegetarian food and meat options. There is something to eat even for the pickiest people. Also, menu depends on the event and what the bride/groom/ host picked. We came here this past weekend for a wedding and it was my first time coming here. I would say I was thoroughly impressed about this venue. Having had a wedding almost 8 years ago this venue makes it easy and seem less. From the tv screen showing you your table to the elaborate interior design this place has it all. My husband and I got married in the Modern Ballroom 3 months ago and I can't even begin to explain how thrilled we are to have chosen Metropol as our wedding venue. We both fell in love the minute we walked in there. We were originally scheduled in 2020 during the pandemic; however, Andre (the manager) worked with us to choose a different date. He is very friendly, honest, and beyond professional and he truly helped us during the craziest times! The staff is also AMAZING! Background - I was a guest for a wedding partee (~250 guests) We drive up and it is very unassuming on the outside. Just regular building, nothing special. Valet service was quick, efficient, no complaints there. Then you walk in and you're greeted with a cornucopia of flowers and colors on the right, poppin colors and nice lighting. Lobby is perfect for cocktail hour, spacious with a grand curving staircase which lead to a foyer. Very pastel kinda night with purples and baby blue but the whole ceiling is LED programmable so you can set the mood ranging from vow ceremonies to gettiin down on da dance floor which was plenty spacious. The Mediterranean cuisine provided by the venue was plentiful and deelish. Wait staff was ON IT. Very attentive, food was hot, the curry came out crispE, just be sure to eat it ASAP while its fresh! The lobby was used for a photo booth station with props! So if you wanted to have vendors you dont want in the main hall, they can set up in the lobby. Venue was very modern and sleek. Posh and elegant place to host a wedding. A good 50 of us got to play with sparklers afterwards in the street!! read more

Came here for a wedding reception. Accidentally walked into the wrong reception. The banquet hall was two levels. This one was on the main boulevard. Beautiful looking!! Walked into the correct one. Located on the side of the building. Much smaller, but still very nice. Prior to being let into the reception room, we stood in a much smaller room eating appetizer and having drinks. All very good. After one hour, let into the main reception room. I have to tell you, I was impressed!! VERY NICE. So nice!! Seated 100 guests comfortably. Decorated beautifully. Food choices (Mediterranean) really good and filling. My only complaint is that the waiter did not remove the empty glasses from our table. I guess we drank a whole lot!! Andre and his team at Metropol were exceptional. My husband and I had our wedding reception at Metropol 6 months ago and receive so many compliments about the venue to this day. To begin, we stumbled upon Metropol after looking at Renaissance, its sister banquet. We fell in love with the larger ballroom when we first saw it. It was a great size, a white canvas, which we liked because it made it very modern and amenable to whatever our wedding design/ theme would look like, and it has high ceilings. We knew it would be the venue where we'd host our reception! Over the months of planning, Andre was extremely gracious and patient. He listened to what our desires were for our wedding day and accommodated every request. Choosing our food and what type of open bar we wanted was a breeze. Moreover, our families are Bolivian and we customarily serve our food with a spicy sauce called "llajua." We talked to Andre about making it ourselves and having the servers serve it on our wedding day, but Andre had a better idea and had his cooks prepare the spicy sauce for our guests. I couldn't believe Andre and his team went above and beyond for us and our families, and it tasted just as good as if we would have made it. Swanky. We were guests here for a wedding reception and had no trouble with the valet in their adjoining lot. Inside, we waited in the lobby area for cocktail hour and had hors d'oeuvres that were passed by servers on trays. I tried a chicken skewer and a little hummus bite and both were so yummy. We were able to see our seating arrangements on a TV screen in the same lobby area. Once they opened the doors to the banquet hall, we were lead into a lovely high-ceiling room with crystal chandeliers in the middle of the room over a white tiled dance floor. The place just looked so white and pretty. The food, oh my gosh, THE FOOD. There was SO much of it. Plate after plate of appetizers, all Mediterranean/Armenian (this is Glendale, folks). Cheeses, breads, hummus, salads. The main course was chicken and beef kabobs. More courses came out after, (and I had no more room left in my stomach) including grilled veggies and then a fruit course. It was INSANE. The tables were set up far enough apart so you didn't feel squished against another yet not far enough to feel like an island. The round tables were huge and sat roughly 13 people around it comfortably on pretty, gold chiavari chairs. The acoustics for the DJ's music were great and the dance floor accommodated many. The bathrooms were clean and modern looking. The server helping at our table was very sweet and explained what some of the dishes were, which was necessary, since nothing was labeled and many of us weren't used to this particular cuisine. We found parking less than a block away - I recommend Uber/lyft to get to and from the location... especially if you're going to drink!!!!! Service: we felt like we had a personal server. There must have been at least 300 guests but we felt very well served by our server. We never ran out of drinks or food! Restrooms: clean... enough said. Goes with the theme of the venue... Conclusion: I don't know how much the venue charges, but it seems like they handle everything ....and AC was good! Just had my wedding here last Saturday and we have been working with Edgar to plan our event. I have to say they are extremely accommodating, attentive, and have polite staff. My wedding was hosted in the Millennium ballroom with my ceremony upstairs. The ceremony is much smaller and low ceilings so if you are looking for something grandiose like their ballrooms you may want to pass. However, I didn't mind it at all. 1. FOOD - You get sooooo much of it and its amazing! Especially if you like Armenian, Mediterranean, Persian food... etc... 2. Build your own bar - perfect for helping your wedding on a budget. I do have to note the hired bar tenders for the venue practically required my guest to tip them. So that was the only feedback from my guest. Other than that... it was perfect. My guest would get no service if tip was not provided. 3. Modern Feel - Tall ceilings with white shiny dance floors. Your seating charts are presenting on a flat screen TV. 4. Technology - projectors and fog machines are provided! However, sound systems are not, but your DJ /band should have it. I liked that we had our own bathroom for our event. I attended a wedding here, and was in the bridal party so this review is written from that perspective. The first place I went into here was the bridal suite, and although it's nice to have a bridal suite, I was not impressed by this one. The bridal suite was pretty small and narrow with two beat up couches and a small vanity table and mirror. There was no place to hang dresses so my friend who was the bride had her gowns laid out across the couches. The room was also used for storage. Aside from my first impression of the bridal suite, I did like the reception area of the venue. I thought the ceremony area was a bit plain, but it's great to have an option to do the ceremony at the same place. I really enjoyed the food. Venue offers valet parking for guests at a cost, but can't remember exactly how much-cash only! We had our wedding at this venue in late June and it was amazing!!! We had met with the manager Andre back in 2019 to book the Modern Ballroom (the big one) and we got SO lucky that we didn't have to postpone or cancel our date since everything opened back up on June 15th. Andre was very polite and answered all my calls and questions leading up to it as I was very nervous we'd have to postpone or cancel. About two weeks before the wedding, we met in person to go over all the details and make final decisions on the menu, venue set up, etc. He was very thorough and on our wedding day, everything was just perfect. The staff took great care of us and our guests, and everyone was raving about the atmosphere and delicious food. A couple things to note: 1. They locked the bridal suite after we used it once. We understand it was for security, but we had to look for the manager twice that evening which took precious time out of our day when we needed to access the room. 2. Our guests were charged $18 per car for valet. This was not communicated to us and we didn't think to ask about the valet charge, but something to keep in mind. 3. The kitchen staff cut the cake in very thin slivers for each guest and there was a lot of cake leftover to take home. Had we known, we would have requested they cut larger pieces to serve. Overall, we are SO glad we had our wedding at Metropol and wouldn't have had it any other way. We are grateful to Andre and the entire staff for making our day so special and a night we'll never forget!!! read more

We had our wedding here on December 8th in the big ballroom for 300 people. It was perfect. Edgar and Andre were so easy to work with and helped make the whole process easier for us. This venue is much more modern in terms of the design, especially compared to other venues in Glendale. I loved the modern design. The cocktail area is beautiful. The venue food is plentiful and delicious. Only sad part is that it's over. Wish we could relive this day over and over again. My now-husband and I looked at alot of venues but this one was the one worth every penny. My advise, get the white carpet, especially for the Millennium ballroom. The white carpet cost a few thousand dollars but so worth it because it gave the ballroom a more elegant touch. Everything he promised us was delivered. We went to a few banquet halls before Metropol and we did not get the same vibe from their managers. The staff is overall just so wonderful. During our wedding there was a moment where I sat down and the whole room was spinning. Right away the waiter ran and got me water with sugar to make sure I wouldn't faint. He came by so many times to check up on me. The food at Metropol is AMAZING! I didn't get to eat much but I got a lot of great feedback from my guests. Thank you guys for everything. If I could give this place zero reviews, I would in a heartbeat. My sister initially chose this venue for her wedding reception prior to the start of the pandemic. She ended up getting married during COVID and pregnant soon after so she and her husband decided to use the initial down payment for the wedding toward a baby shower. Being that the pandemic is still not over, we asked to use the down payment toward catering instead even if we lost money. Andre refused and made racist remarks saying "this is the United States of America, where are you even from?" The audacity and the disrespect we received from this establishment is beyond me. He said "we don't have the money, we paid rent because you didn't have your wedding." I wasn't asking for a refund. I was willing to work with them to support the business knowing how tough it was during the pandemic. ESPECIALLY for restaurants and event venues. Don't look further! Metropol is amazing! My brother's wedding was held in the Modern Ballroom and Metropol not only met, but exceeded our expectations. Edgar was the team member we worked with. He was very professional and eager to help in accommodating all of our needs. Metropol's décor is modern, creating an enjoyable and unique ambiance for clients and their guests. We held the ceremony inside the hall, which was very convenient for everyone. Afterwards, our guests enjoyed cocktail hour in the foyer while the staff prepared the ballroom for the reception (took them only 30 minutes! Talk about an efficient team). Cocktail hour was a total success. The violinist, as well as the catering/cocktail service, were both amazing. During the reception, the food and appetizers left our guests speechless. At the time it was the old hall but Hrach who is the manager assured us that it would be ready in time for our wedding, which it was. Each step of the way, Hrach made the process easy and was very friendly. The hall was beautiful, the food was amazing and most important of all, the service provided by Hrach and his staff was exceptional. When it was time to pay for everything, there were no surprises. I was charged exactly what I had anticipated. I will have more events I'm sure in the coming years and I will look no further than Metropol.
