What do I like about the Orange Metrolink stop? The location, right in downtown, so it makes it easy for a day trip from LA! You don't need a car while you're in downtown Orange, just walk around, so that's a major plus. The station is small- just 2 tracks, easy to get around and figure out fast. They do have lists to keep you informed. The building is small, the restrooms are kinda dirty, my husband wasn't thrilled with the experience and I didn't feel like going in, just looking from outside- they look like old restrooms, run down and dirty. There's a Ruby's Diner right there, with an outdoor area right in front of the waiting area. So in case you need food fast... Otherwise, go to downtown, there are much better food options there! There's no one on the site to help you. There are no announcements for trains coming, so you better do your homework. The Metrolink stops here for about a minute, you blink and you miss it, so make sure you get here on time. There's a decent size parking lot, otherwise, no frills kinda station. Once again, being located in downtown is great, right near the Hilbert Art Museum. Very convenient.

This was a nice place to catch a train at. the parking is good and close to where you get on the train. The station is fairly clean and seems to be well taken care of. The ticket counter is small but seemed to move quick. The price was not to bad to go to San Diego, $23.00 or $46 round trip. Easy on here. Plus you get a better chance at a seat than going to the Anaheim station which is a new facility. When we got there almost every seat was taken. Passengers that wanted to sit together had to sit apart. That is why this station is much better. The train schedule are posted and the trains were on time and the trip was great!!

Served by Metrolink Orange and Inland Empire-OC Lines, as well as Amtrak. This is one of the better Metrolink stations in the entire system, in my opinion. It's off Chapman and just a few blocks off the Orange Circle, There's a quaint old-school station building there, but the Cask n' Cleaver restaurant that was there has gone out of business. There's quite a few parking spaces, both long and short term, and I feel safe in leaving my vehicle here for at least a few days.

I once went here on a day trip using the Metrolink train and then used the bus route 553 (which is apparently on weekdays) to go to Disney. I find that the route was fine although there were a lot more stops to the park, and it drops you off 3 blocks away. On a weekend on Sunday, I used the ART route bus 15. I liked this route because it was only 3-4 stops and you're directly dropped off at Disneyland's bus center so it's a shorter walk to the park. I only wish the bus came at its scheduled times or were properly updated on the live route site, so you're stuck waiting longer than expected and you're unsure of when the bus will exactly come. - free parking at the lot, gates open automatically , unless event is happening across the street at Honda center - prepay adult day passes ($6 all day) online and show email to bus driver - very clean and impressively aesthetic transit center, usually empty

Caught the Amtrak Surfliner from Santa Ana to Old Town San Diego. While the ride was great, this train station was a bit of an adventure. Signage is not really clear about where to go, especially if you've never been here before. Restrooms were all closed. Could not find any guard or employee to answer any questions. You have to walk outside to see the screen that shows you train times and track number, but of course, that is after you've meandered around the actual station looking for information. Obviously this is a heavily traveled line (for both Metrolink and Amtrak), so you would think that there would at least be someONE there to assist travelers. Truly, it looks deserted when you enter, almost as if you've stepped back in time to see what an old train station looks like. Disappointed, and as a new traveler that has never used this station before, I felt very lost and a little creeped out.

The fountain there still looks beautiful. I heard that security is getting really tough here, and not nice. From what I hear this is because of people needing shelter, and electricity sources are frequent in this particular location. 30 years ago, I recall actually someone having their honeymoon or wedding pictures here ! It's still a beautiful façade. it needs a lot of TLC, money going into it to bring it into its glory again. Its present situation is disheartening. I'll check in a few months to let you know my observations, & reconstruction progress.

The station itself isn't that big with a couple of seating inside and the ticket counters to the opposite end. They do have public restrooms around the corner which is for ticket holders. Apparently you don't need a key to enter but whenever there's no one, they're alway locked. It's a pain when you have to get someone to open it, if they do. Anyway, there's maybe two attendant working at a time. Two sides of the track with a bridge the connect you to the opposite side of the tracks. They do have a good amount of trains that run along the tracks. It's pretty well organized but the only downfall, a lot of the schedule tends to run behind. I've had my train delayed a few times by half and hour and continue to go longer. Last time it was over an hour which I ended up having to get an uber to pick me up from the station in Fullerton to downtown LA. You really don't have control of the schedule and track but it's happened quite often lately. The station also has a mini station restaurant that serves food and drinks. It's right next door to the ticket station with more seating outside the patio than inside. Your typical snack shop but with hot food made to order. On the other side of the station is the bus depot. It's located in downtown Fullerton so there loads of restaurants nearby if you wanted something more substantial. The station itself is nice and well maintained with a good amount of parking. Only downfall, scheduling can be off course quite often.

We had a couple of questions because we needed assistance on where we had to board. There were no employees in sight. We found ourselves having to ask other riders if we were at the right location. The PA system was very hard to hear due to heavy static, and in Area 1, the Business section, messages broadcast to other parts of the loading platforms were nonexistent. Customers waiting to board tried to help each other. Despite these two issues, I would definitely use this station again.
