There were many amenities like, a great basic variety of linen to choose from, uplighting, a fog machine(I didn't use), a grand piano( which I hired a pianist to play during my entry), full service bar with a wine cooler, ice machine and fridge and sink( with the top shelf liquor my husband stocked and the ideal bartender my guest raved over the open bar), the VIP room was great, the bathroom facilities were exceptionally clean and stocked. The space in size was great! The separate entrance for vendors was ideal. The kitchen had everything a cater would need to prep for your event even though it's no cooking on site. The owner LaDonna and husband Gerald were awesome! They made sure that everything flowed smoothly for me. The hospitality they offered was beyond being just business owners; my experience was very personable. LaDonna made suggestions throughout my planning process and I absolutely loved the ideas! Over half of my guest inquired with me for information to book an event at RSVP Event Space. I hope more people bless this lovely couple with business they are well deserving and you definitely will be pleased!

From the moment that we pulled up, we were treated with high standards I didn't feel sized up by what I had, or looked like. I knew I was gonna be treated with respect regardless of who employees crossed my path. And that is exactly what I got The room was exceptional, I'm pretty sure it was a standard fully stock bar, walk in shower & walk in closet w/safe. it was enough to be next to perfect for us. I'm pretty sure it was less than 150 steps from my hotel room, to the elevator, to the party they were hosting for NYE. Talk about finding a good parking spot! (But w/rooms & location to event) We found a great hotel room located not too close, but not too far to the party or traffic. It sounded amazing knowing I didn't have that many steps to go to carrying my dude if he had one too many party drinks, you know. Not saying he would just wanted to give him the chance to switch the roles. Reason why I say sounded amazing and why unfortunately Townsend hotel did not get all the stars is for the reason we were not able to get into the party to enjoy celebrating ringing in the new year. I guess they hired the Security team to handle entrance into the party. (I am kicking myself why not double checking, my dude's luggage for right attire.)He came in with a brand new pair of all blk adidas dmt. I believe they're called. Also a tan pair of the Dude shoes. We were not able to get in and celebrate ringing the countdown. So we were hanging in the room, we went down not quite 30 minutes before midnight. By time we found out we try to hop in the car, We're getting over to Meijers. They're going to lock the door as he's jumping out of the car to asked to buy a pair of shoes real quick. They're like heck no I gotta get home. So we spent New Year's in the car on our way back to the hotel, that won't let us into the party because of the misunderstanding of the atire. The extra money and time spent wasted. I'm glad I was able to see and experience all of it. That just helps me to read the fine print know that certain places aren't willing to accept their rules being broken, (which I honestly ok w/on other rules) but being half naked could get in, not sneakers). I was stupid and told him to grab his brown shoes and he grabbed the dude shoes SMH. It was really a chance to never mind doesn't matter. Sorry, I have a birthday this month and he having another next month. if the experience was 4+ stars this may be a place we would've been spending one of our birthdays. But kind of feel it last spent more than my values worth already on this merchant. Again, as far as the employees, everyone was amazing it was just a door guy at the party, Wasn't willing to ask anybody (management )if they would let us in to the party based off the shoes my guy was wearing. Kind of a big disappointment. But that's because I let it be more of a fairytale than what it really was. I built the anticipation up.‍ Was able to have a chance to talk to different employees get to know a little bit more about them, where they were from if they were locals, bringing my service dog in was a breeze. I tried to give documentation to show not emotional support dog. It didn't matter. They were comfortable and seem to know the service animal laws. Big kudos for that. The employees there made the place amazing !

It's located downtown and easy to find due to its size, it gives major convention center energy. They do have an attached parking garage, but with how busy the tournament was (teams and families traveling in from all over), it was often full and figured the price would be high, so we didn't park there. There is street parking and several nearby garages, but pricing varies depending on demand. If you have time, shop around for parking because some garages charge way higher. The tournament took place on the main level (first floor), and entry wasn't cheap. They offer both day passes and weekend passes, with different pricing for adults and students. Payment was convenient, they accept both card and cash. For 1 adult weekend pass, it was $75.99. Before entering the main courts area, there were several stands set up where you could purchase drink/snacks. Staff at the entrance checked for wristbands, but I didn't notice strict bag checks so outside bags, food, and drinks seemed to be allowed, at least from what I observed. Once inside, the setup was impressive. There were around 20+ courts (I'd say about 22), signs and maps were available to help navigate. Each court had visible numbering on the basket posts, along with digital scoreboards and shot clocks. I did notice that some games enforced the shot clock more consistently than others which confuses players. Restrooms were located along the perimeter walls, clearly marked and easy to find. For the most part, they were clean and well maintained despite the heavy traffic. Seating was available for spectators, which made it easier to move between games and still find a place to sit. I really enjoyed stopping by the Visit Detroit booth while in Detroit! They had a nice variety of freebies: stickers, pens, and plenty of booklets, maps, and pamphlets highlighting things to do around the city. My adventurous side (and love for a good freebie ) was definitely excited! It was a great way to get a quick feel for what Detroit has to offer, and it honestly made me want to come back and explore the city even more. This is a well-organized venue for a tournament of this size, just be prepared for crowds, parking challenges, and higher entry costs during major events.

This is a very nicely renovated mansion turned into a woman's club. Like a late 1800's gentleman's club, only for women. There is a locker room/workout room/nursing area, but I did not see them because I am not a woman. They have lectures and groups within the club. They have a full kitchen, and the usual food on offer seemed like you would expect at a starbucks or better. They have drinks, coffee, and wine. The wine was higher end. And they use an ordering app so members at different rooms of the club can order easily. Lots of rooms. Dining and lecture rooms, lounge and club type rooms, conference rooms. A large event room. All really nice. There are smaller serving bars on the second and third floors. Depending on age, annual membership is 600 or 1200 dollars. It looked great. Maybe it could have used more restrooms, but that is sort of reaching for something negative to say.
