    My Shade Store experience: After personally visiting the…read moreShade Store, I made an appointment (two weeks out) for a late day visit and measurement. A few days later I also received an email from someone named Zach Gibbs, claiming to to be the owner, thanking me for the business and offering to reach out with any questions or concerns. Shortly before arrival time on the day of my appointment, I received a call from the Shade Store informing me that their technician was running late and requesting a reschedule between 4:30-7:30PM that same day. I agreed and my wife and I then arranged our schedules to accommodate their request. The revised and agreed-upon time came and went with no visit - and no call. About a week later, I received an automated email inviting me to reschedule the appointment "I had missed". Instead, I replied back to Page Morris, my salesperson to inquire and complain about what originally happened. In return, I received what seemed to be a sincere apology, an offer to return and offer to remediate, which I accepted and thanked Page. When another appointment still had not been scheduled after about another week, I followed back up again with Page re-requesting the appointment. No response. I did this two more times. An additional two more blow-offs. I then followed up on the email from Zach Gibbs, thanking him for his original email and explaining to him what happened, and also letting him know I'd be taking my business elsewhere at this point. No call, no follow-up email. Short story:if you want to waste your time, be made empty promises and be ignored - The Shade Store is your place!

    We spent $12,000 on motorized blinds, and trying to get support has been a nightmare. It took over…read morea month of back and forth just to get on the schedule--calls, emails, multiple follow-ups. Their team was nearly impossible to reach. When we finally got an appointment, it was a month out... and then they canceled it the morning of. Now we're pushed another month down the line citing technician availability. It's looking like based on other Yelp reviews, this is their MO, so stay away. One of the blinds has been stuck in the down position for months. And to be clear, we've barely even used these. The blinds tend to stay open, and we only lower them on especially bright days. They aren't used daily, so there's no reason the motor should already be failing. For what we paid, this level of service is unacceptable. Once the install was done, it's like we stopped mattering. Would not recommend. You could go with something like blinds.com for half the price.

We built our home with lots of upgrades and added lot of high end aesthetic features to the home. One of the top priorities for us immediately after closing was choosing the window treatments and real wood shutters was my top choice. However I was very concerned about the total price of the shutters for such a huge house we had as well as how to pick the best vendor who can do very high quality work. While doing my extensive research, I came across Castleberry Shutters. Apart from getting quotes from really big home improvement stores, I thought I will atleast get a quote from them. I met with Tim Castleberry and immediately within 15 minutes of meeting, talking to him and seeing the samples he showed to us, I knew I will be in right hands by working with them. These guys have been in business for really long time and they are local Atlanta company and manufacture their own shutters. I felt that they really cared about the quality since they were not typical third party resellers and since it was their family own business, they offered the best value for money. The best part is - Tim not only offered me an excellent price but also told me that they offer lifetime warranty which means anything happens to any of the shutters they will fix / replace it for free. I felt thats really huge. With leap of faith, I ordered shutters for my entire home and requested him to deliver on time within few days of my closing. We stayed in touch and I told him my closing date few weeks before closing and he said they are right on time. The day after I closed their staff set up a time to come and install my shutters. Their installers came on time and did an outstanding clean job installing my already looking awesome shutters. The whole look and feel of my home changed 360 degrees after shutters were installed. All my neighbors gave us compliments on this new addition to our home. My initial apprehension to hire a non branded big company for fairly large investment on this part of home upgrade soon turned into one of my best decisions so far I made while building my new home. We absolutely love their work and recommend them to all our family and friends. BTW within few days they sent a follow up warranty person to make sure to touch up every small little scratch the shutters may have developed while manufacture/ installation. That was the icing on the top! I feel that they are worth every penny and on top of that these shutters added not only beauty we will enjoy till we live in this home but it also added a lot of resale value to my property.
