However I was very concerned about the total price of the shutters for such a huge house we had as well as how to pick the best vendor who can do very high quality work. While doing my extensive research, I came across Castleberry Shutters. Apart from getting quotes from really big home improvement stores, I thought I will atleast get a quote from them. I met with Tim Castleberry and immediately within 15 minutes of meeting, talking to him and seeing the samples he showed to us, I knew I will be in right hands by working with them. These guys have been in business for really long time and they are local Atlanta company and manufacture their own shutters. I felt that they really cared about the quality since they were not typical third party resellers and since it was their family own business, they offered the best value for money. The best part is - Tim not only offered me an excellent price but also told me that they offer lifetime warranty which means anything happens to any of the shutters they will fix / replace it for free. I felt thats really huge. With leap of faith, I ordered shutters for my entire home and requested him to deliver on time within few days of my closing. We stayed in touch and I told him my closing date few weeks before closing and he said they are right on time. The day after I closed their staff set up a time to come and install my shutters. Their installers came on time and did an outstanding clean job installing my already looking awesome shutters. The whole look and feel of my home changed 360 degrees after shutters were installed. All my neighbors gave us compliments on this new addition to our home. My initial apprehension to hire a non branded big company for fairly large investment on this part of home upgrade soon turned into one of my best decisions so far I made while building my new home. We absolutely love their work and recommend them to all our family and friends. BTW within few days they sent a follow up warranty person to make sure to touch up every small little scratch the shutters may have developed while manufacture/ installation. That was the icing on the top! Later initiated and signed separate order to purchase additional lockset for back door to ensure same cylinder keying. Received text and email messages on December 9 and December 11 that project is now on hold and that my action is required. On Dec 10 I scheduled installation dates with NG but salesman is no longer in loop and no NG project manager or specific contact person has been identified. Today called NG back again but nobody can explain why project is on hold again. Hopefully project will be completed soon and everything will progress OK. Not a warm feeling that all is well.

I should have checked the reviews on Yelp before I contacted them! You never know if someone who makes a recommendation has an ulterior motive or is just ignorant. PBOA showed up & the salesman took measurements. He wasn't very helpful when I asked questions about the limited samples he showed me. I wanted 8 gauge, 1 inch aluminum mini blinds - all he had to offer were flimsy 6 gauge. The only decent looking sample was for 2 inch faux wood (plastic/resin) blinds. They were attractive, so I placed an order - the cost was $1,100 for 3 windows! He told me there was a "limited warranty" - which usually means miles of fine print + loopholes to protect the seller. I waited 4 weeks for the blinds to arrive and 2 additional weeks before they could schedule installation. The young man who installed them did a good job, but almost immediately I could see the blinds were cheaply made and didn't function well. Light leaked in everywhere and the blinds would not close tightly or completely and they were loose - they did not fit close to the window frames. We called the company and complained. A man came out to look at them. He had zero authority to do anything other than to say he would ask his supervisor (supposedly out of town) if he could charge us an additional $600 and replace them with cheap grade aluminum mini blinds. We told him "no". We were finally able to replace the worthless blinds with premium, 8 gauge aluminum 1 inch mini blinds from blinds.com. Their representative came out to measure and remove the defective blinds and ordered the replacements, which arrived in 2 weeks. My total bill was about $600 - including installation and hauling the defective blinds away. I highly recommend blinds.com and hope Yelp readers learn from my mistake and avoid PBOA. They have zero integrity and pathetic customer service. Most importantly, they don't give refunds on inferior merchandise.
