I purchased from their hot food counter which is basically a Chinese food restaurant. The food was actually tasty and relatively cheap... definitely an easy stop on the way home if you know dinner isn't made. On my second and third visits though... unfortunately the rude customer service staff at the front lost them a star. At bare minimum say hello, thank you or smile. Throwing my receipt at me and pointing instead of replying doesn't work for me, as they spoke to each other about their weekend plans. It's also always a bit difficult as well when the majority of staff throughout the store doesn't speak English. Not the end of the world... I did get many steps in trying to find items myself! Lol All in all though, when I'm in town this store will very likely be a stop every time. Pros: Location (Derry Road & Bronte in Milton) in an outdoor plaza, store layout, cleanliness, selection of items, hot food menu station & taste, prices Cons: Staff (they can work on that), parking can be tricky when they're busy

Their tofu and meatless meats are also together in bunkers with the rest of the meets and cheese which is convenient to walk around. The store layout: very spacious and very clean. There is always a lot of space for you to push your cart around without hitting the products in the alleys or bumping into customers. The assortment: they have a bit of ethnic products but it's not very well organised. Again some products maybe in the ethnic aisle but some maybe in the mainstream aisle as well so if you're looking it may be best to ask an associate. I also like that this location has a wine section thats pretty extensive which is very convenient. The service: I also find that I am always looking to ask an associate for help since this store is so large. Surprisingly tho the associates, though they may only be part time, are usually very helpful and am able to direct me to what I am looking for The cash registers: I personally prefer to use the self checkout since there are usually no line ups. I like that their self service area is wide and there's enough space to put and stagger all of your groceries

So I won't lie but I'm a grocey-holic, yeah yeah I know there isn't such a word but you guys get it.I do go here almost everyday and love the experience. I love their cheese selection to bread. The quick meals they offer are to die for and the produce is as fresh as it can get for a grocery store. They do have a Starbucks inside Longos with is an added bonus, it has a few chairs and tables too for customers to relax before or after their shopping. I absolutely love their fresh seafood section and.You can basically find anything from live lobsters to scallop and fish. The pricing is right too. They also have a hot meal bar and a fresh salad bar.Hot meal bar keeps changing its menu daily and is very fresh but can get $$$.I mean I'm not a big eater and anytime I made myself a lunch with just a bit of something I always end up paying $8 plus dollars. Overall it's a very clean and friendly store. Each one the staff members are helpful and great at customer service.I go there so often that by now I know a few by names :)

When I saw "Oriental & Filipino" on a sign in Milton, I turned into the parking lot without a second thought. There it was... a beacon of hope... surrounded by a bike shop, an adult store, and a tattoo parlor. Now I'm not gonna judge the quality of the surrounding businesses, but REALLY!? why is there a Filipino store here? I'm gonna guess and say it has something to do with the rent, but I can't be sure. Either way, a familiar smell wafted through my nostrils as I stepped into the store. I picked up some dried mango, asian snacks, and filipino "cup-o-noodles" soup. The freezer was full of pork buns, tropical ice cream, and lumpia wrapper! Milton's starting to feel more and more like home. I just wish I had a kitchen...

About 5-6 weeks ago my husband went to pickup our weekly order and on his way home he realized there were items missing. He then went back to the store and the cashier told him he was not supposed to pickup the order because the payment didn't go through. However the order had been packed and they sent a notification confirming it was ready for pickup, how does that even make sense? My husband had already left the store, and came back because there were items missing. He asked the cashier to provide a receipt showing the payment didn't go through and the cashier rudely refused and started yelling at him, even condescendingly told him he didn't know how online orders and payment worked. When asked to speak to a manager she said she was the manager. She escalated the situation to a point my husband just asked to cancel the order and insisted for her to provide a receipt. Once he got home I reviewed the receipt in detail and realized the payment didnt go through because the store made a mistake in entering an item, and instead of punching in 500g of green beans they punched in 5kg!!!! bringing the order total above the limit pre- approved. A week later I tried to place our weekly grocery order as usual, and to my surprise my account has now been disabled and when I inquired they now tell me it's due to "internal security". My account is in good standing, no balance or payments due. Credit card also in good standing, so it seems the store just decided to block our account just because that lady has very poor customer service skills and no manners whatsoever. When I called the call centre they are also basically useless. Way to go #PCExpress you have lost a loyal customer.
