At issue was a song with lyrics that I felt were innapropriate for young children. We asked if they would change the music or refund our money. We were told that the parents liked the popular music and that toddlers couldn't understand the lyrics anyway. I disagree, but very well, I will take my refund and go away. They offered to not charge me for the second month, but refused to give back my money for the first month even though we only attended one class. If you care about the music that your toddlers listen to, please ask ahead of time before you commit to the payment. They do screen the popular music for bad lyrics, but they did not inform me during the free class that popular music was going to be played. The free class had children's music. I am sure my standards are going to be viewed as too strict, but I didn't like the lyrics to "I'm just a girl". I don't think it's healthy to tell little girls who are still forming their precious personalities that they are just girls, and that is all we will let them be. Even worse, I don't want my son growing up with that view of women. If you care about the music your child listens too, be sure to ask about the songs they will play before giving them your money.

I specially love that the pre school steps class they have it where there are group activities and also free play after every group activity. If your kid doesn't want to participate the teacher does not force the kids to participate, you are just free to do as you like. My toddler loves the group activities as well as the free play. I am extremely happy with my decision to join Gymboree. Oh yes and the parents there are soo nice too. I def recommend this location.

Excellent gymnastics coaches, absolutely piss poor business. My wife and I signed up for the adult…read moregymnastics classes and we absolutely loved it. We were told that the first one was a trial and we had so much fun with the coach, I can't remember his name but he's awesome. The facility is nice and we had a good time so we said we would come back for the second one and officially sign up. Basically they said that for one month it would be $157 and we would need to sign something and I said okay, that was it. We showed up for 3 of the 4 following weeks and then around Thanksgiving we got super busy and we weren't able to make it for a couple of weeks. I'm thinking, damn well we paid for one class that we didn't go to that sucks but it's not the end of the world. We'll just start back in January when we have more time and start going all 4 weeks every month, no big deal. Fast foward to this week, I check my account as I'm out shopping for the holidays and there's another charge from Amplitude for $157. I call them immediately and get no answer, so I leave a message saying that nobody ever expressed to me that I had signed up for some kind of monthly subscription, I was just told it would be $157 for the month and asked if I could please be refunded. It was before open hours so I figured they'd call me back that night and then I'd explain there was a misunderstanding and no big deal we'd get refunded for December and start back in January. Nobody calls me back so I call the next day, and then the next 3 days after that. Calling and leaving a message every single time. One time a lady answered but told me that she wasn't involved with the office department but she'd have the office person call me right back. So a full WEEK goes by and I finally just got a call this morning at 10:30 AM from Amplitude and I'm thinking finally, someone is going to talk to me about this. Tell me why the first thing I hear from this woman on the phone is that I need to grow up and act like an adult who can read. That I signed a binding legal contract to be charged monthly for a gymnastics class and that in that contract it states that there is a 30-day notice if I want to drop the class or else they have the right to keep charging me until the end of time $157 monthly. NOBODY TOLD ME ANY OF THIS IN TO MY FACE ONE TIME. I understand that it might be in the contract but I am a customer and I trusted the business to give me the full information about the situation and AT AMPLITUDE THEY DO NOT CARE IF YOU UNDERSTAND THEIR SYSTEM. The woman that signed me up for the class literally told me "It will be $157 for the full month for both you and your wife, you can sign here and swipe/tap your card." Literally told me nothing else, not that it was a reoccurring payment, not that I needed to let them know BY EMAIL 30 days in advance if I ever plan to stop coming, nothing. I absolutely do not appreciate a local institution doing business this way. This is the kind of thing you would expect from over the phone scam callers and big business corporations trying to trick you into signing up for subscriptions. I have absolutely nothing negative to say about the gymnastics class itself or the coaches, but I will not be coming back simply because of the way that this place runs it business and the way that I was treated by the employee on the phone. I have never been told to grow up and act like an adult, or asked if I can read by employee after a WEEK of me trying to get in touch with the business and sort it out. It's absolutely ridiculous and I hope that all of you make sure you read every word of every thing they make you sign here because I PROMISE they're not going to tell you everything you need to know. Absolutely piss poor business and terrible customer service, so rude and so unprofessional. Completely night and day from the respect and intelligence shown by the coaches. I feel bad that the coaches are being represented as a business in such a shotty, unprofessional, and shady way.

I quickly learned after being on team for two years that this gym is EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL. The thousands of dollars we paid for meet fees weren't fully used to pay meet fees, its was kept by Southern. After realizing what has been going on behind the scenes and the addiction issues the family that owns the gym has, i had to quickly move my kids to another gym, paying a whole new load of fees. Southern charged me for may tution, we left end of April. When reaching out to southern to get my $300 back, they declined. But they have no problem keeping the hundreds of dollars we gave for meet fees that were never even paid for the meets. This gym is extremely unprofessional and is not a safe place for children or your money.
