Highlights: Don Bybee construction wasted 5 months of our lives while we lived in a hotel. All the…read morework, including the new cabinets, had to be re-done because EVERYTHING was garbage: and that was according to a USAA adjuster who came out after I complained of the VERY poor quality work that was done. Keep in mind, an employee of USAA came out, and said it had to be re-done from the ground up. USAA is not in the habit of spending money, so you can imagine how bad the work was. We had to have our new cabinets ripped out, our walls re-textured from the floor up to the ceiling...we had to start from scratch, after I complained week after week for 5 months about the lack of progress and poor workmanship. At this point, USAA fired Don Bybee construction from our job-site and said they would 're-train' Ryan and Co., but USAA also drug their feet for one (1) year to approve the new funding for the re-re-construction of our home. In all, we spent 1 1/2 years living in a hotel, and mostly we have Don Bybee construction to thank. I could not believe my eyes when I saw they were still in business! The guy name Chase who shown up didn't even apologize when he got here. I was mad and told him to leave, but first he gave me all the excuse and told me he got lots of work, and even asked me if I want more discount from him. Wtf? You guys should at least gave me an apology and stop making excuse when you come one hour late. I would rather pay more for company who respect time instead of more discount and disrespect me and my time. If any chance, this service fire equipment guy stop by your business, please do not let them in. If you dont hire them to do your work, they will report the city right away , just like they did to me. Now I have called Master Commercial Hoods and Fire Systems, they responded fast and get it done with reasonable price on the same day I called with a fantastic service.

This company is listed on Trane's website as one of their authorized service providers. I had a…read morecapacitor go out on my unit and immediately diagnosed that as being the case, easy enough with info on YouTube. I called Air Mechanix because they are close by in Plano, and an authorized Trane repair company. I asked what it would cost, and they stated it would be $100 to come out (the next day, not on some emergency basis). I told them to bring a capacitor with them for my model # unit. i know that part is a twenty-dollar part at most. Tech shows up, I tell him it's the capacitor; he verifies that immediately and replaces it. Working fine again. He's done in 10 mins. I get a bill emailed to me nearly 2 weeks later for $349.06. Beyond horrendous. Complained about it; they did nothing to reduce it. Complained to Trane about it; they said they could do nothing to as Air Mechanix is a vendor that sets its own pricing for services. Should have looked to see if they were BBB accredited before calling - I figured if they are Trane authorized, they would be. So. Very. Wrong. If you're in Plano or the surrounding area - be aware that this business will deceive you and take advantage with their ridiculously gauging prices. Will never buy a Trane product again either.

Theu also fixed the kitchen ceiling and replaced the floor in my laundry room. Their price was very readable and the work was excellen. We had daily communication from him and his crew led by Martin was outstanding. I will definitely use again for larger projects.
