It seemed like it was a social event for the stylists, instead of for our bridal party. They then even rudely and loudly commented about how the vibe was "boring" and we should play better music.... We found this very unprofessional. When we were showing photos of how we wanted the makeup look to be, we repeatedly asked Lulu for less makeup because we didn't want any heavy foundation or contouring. It seemed like the makeup artist had "one mode". I walked by at one point and politely asked if we'd be able to tone down the makeup and the artist shockingly said "I don't like it when people get up in my space." The final look was then overly heavy and explicitly not what we had asked for / provided photos of. Overall, waste of money - we would have been better off doing the makeup ourselves, especially since they didn't listen to what we wanted & changed the atmosphere so materially.

Some highlights: 1) I emailed her on Tuesday and my pics were on Sunday. Not only did she give me an appointment on such short notice, she is also 39 weeks pregnant! She is so passionate about her job and truly cares about her clients, even if she's never met you before. 2) I never wear makeup so I was pretty nervous about how it would turn out. Addi took time to listen to what I was looking for and we talked about some of my previous (bad) experiences with makeup so that she also knew what I didn't want. Throughout the session, she continuously asked me how I felt and always made sure I was comfortable with the way it looked. Addi is the perfect makeup artist for women who don't usually get their makeup done or are a bit nervous about wearing full makeup. 3) Her studio is adorable, really clean and organized, and all her products are top of the line. 4) She is so sweet and really easy to talk to. The solution was supposed to be left on 30 minutes for all hair types and up to 45 minutes for coarse kinky hair. It was left on less than ten minutes. It is supposed to be applied in small sections and then combed through. It was not put on carefully as there were curly spots left after completion. It took one hr. The manufacturer says it should take 1.5 hours. When I asked about the missing steps, I was told she used a different cezanne treatment on me. There is only one cezanne for non blond hair. There is only an express and a regular. She said she did not use the express and I am not a blond. Very disappointed!

Paula washed both girls hair. Then, she dried their hair before cutting. After she cut the hair, she textures the hair, and then styles it. My daughter goes to Paula for her hair too. The salon is decorated in purple and sparkles. Purple is my favorite color, so I loved the decor. Paula and her staff couldn't be any sweeter. She has 5 dogs and their pictures are artfully displayed in the salon. I thought the prices were very fair and reasonable. The girls looked beautiful and were very happy with their hairstyles. I was impressed how Paula asked each one what they wanted. And, she checked back to make sure they were happy with their looks. Their is a private parking lot behind the salon, which is very convenient. I can see why both granddaughters love going to get their hair styled.
