Horrible experience with a Byrom Constructed House…read more This builder built my house. Within a short time of moving in, the BRAND NEW house started leaking/POURING water. The builder did come out on numerous trips and purported to fix the problem each time. All to no avail. The house still leaks. Frustrated with the builder's efforts, I have replaced the roof that was not ready to be replaced in hopes of fixing the problem--the roof was not the problem however. My next step is the replace the windows on the upper floors that I believe were not properly sealed. Overall, I would not use this builder to EVER build anything for me.

The lines are not cut in cleanly at all and they left paint everywhere (for example dripping down my sink fictures, my bathroom mirror, my leather recliner, my treadmill, new shower door, etc). They removed the popcorn ceiling and though they used plastic, somehow wet debri ended up on my bedding. They installed new hardware on all my cabinets but I had to get them to redo most all of the handles because they were not installed plum and level with the cabinet doors. And I had 3 cabinet door hidnges strip right out of the cabinet. Thankfully my husband had some calk and screws so I was able to fix them. They cleaned their rollers and brushes in my yard which ruined my grass and they left painting equipment IN my bushes. They also did not double coat my trim in several areas nor did they prep the stained trim that was painted. The calking has all dried and shriveled leaving large cracks between my cabinetry and the ceiling in several rooms. This work was done a couple months ago and there is paint chipping everywhere. I also just found out the reason my master bedroom was not warming up on cold nights. When they moved the vent cover to paint the baseboard and tried to put it back they shoved my vent out of the floor casing causing all my heat to escape into my basement. This increased my power bill by 28%!!! This was the final straw to my desicion to do a review. Is the popcorn ceiling gone, yes. Are the rooms painted, yes. Is it a great job? Absolutely not. I am very disappointed at the price I paid for the quality I received. And this was all after my punch list was completed. Again, the owner is an amazingly hard worker but the crew that did my work was aweful.

I recently hired Genius Roof to reroof my home and I strongly recommend this company. I had several…read moredifferent roofing companies give me bids on installing a new roof. I was very impressed with the management team at Genius Roof. They are both college graduates, very courteous, and very knowledgeable about all different aspects of roofing. They had to coordinate with my contractor who was adding a screen porch to my house. They also coordinated with a spray foam company to add additional foam to some areas that could only be accessed when the roof was off. My house had several decorative metal dormer vents that were in very bad shape. Instead of replacing them they suggested that I could just remove them since my house was spray foamed and they weren't useful. They installed Owens Corning lifetime full replacement shingles. When the crew came they removed the old roof and installed the new one in two days. They were very meticulous about picking up any trash from the project. They even had an employee come by the next day to do another search for any miscellaneous nails or shingles. I am very pleased with my new roof. I have had several friends & neighbors compliment me on how great it looks.

They gave me a $600 quote for gutter cleaning and gutter guard repairs. They missed 4 appointments…read morethat were scheduled on nice days over the course of 6 weeks with no call or explanation. When they finally did show up unannounced on a Sunday morning at 7:40, they did a botched gutter guard repair on one corner of the house and nothing else. The next day I received a call from Justin stating the job was completed. The repair person, Bryan, apparently thought nobody was home since I didn't open any blinds or make any noise and thought he could get away with billing me for the whole job. I have high gutters and can't check them myself, however, I watched everything that was done through the blinds for the 1 hour that they were "on the job". I let Justin know that Bryan had lied about doing the complete job and there was no way I was going to pay $600 for an unsatisfactory gutter guard repair and an incomplete job, and more so, didn't appreciate Bryan lying about it and trying to rip me off. I was told that they would call me back and schedule another person to get the job done but they didn't follow through with that either. Just as well, they obviously can't do the job anyway.

He brought a great team and they worked for almost 2 day's to complete this job. They thoroughly wrapped everything with plastic and carefully removed the tile and ground the thinset away. A very dirty job and very dusty. They broke three wall tiles and replaced them. They kept me posted on every step and ensured we were set up to spend the night (toilet temporarily set) while we wait for the tiler. Great contractor.
