Then he walked me through a likely fix, which involved a couple routers networked so that I had independent wifi running on both floors of the house but on the same network. The tech came by and was super nice, and walked me through what they were going to do. I was cautiously optimistic. When they were done? I almost cried at how well everything ran through my house. They even set me up so I had ethernet directly to my gaming PC, and direct into my TV and Xbox. I have not had a single issue since (beside Comcast caused outages), and have blazing fast wifi throughout the house (I pay for the gigaspeed Xfinity). Zencom was recommended by my security camera company to come in and replace the fiber so I could get my cameras back up and running. Adam came out from Zencom and quickly assessed the situation, spoke the language of my security company and developed a plan to replace the fire damaged cabling. Within a very short time, he obtained the necessary supplies and had the replacement installed in less than a day. More impressively, he came back and spent hours making sure all the cameras were back up, correcting minor issues he came across with my initial installation and left me in a much better situation than I was in even before the fire. I found an old printed out email from like seven years ago saying that we used Executive Phone Service in Hayward. When I called, I got David Garges - who was immediately helpful. When I got home with my kids, we suddenly had no internet. I was overwhelmed because where I live, cell service is poor, and so much of our daily life depends on having a connection--especially for school and work. I called T-Mobile and spoke with someone who kindly directed me to a store on Whipple in Hayward. When I arrived, I was honestly stressed and unsure what I was even going to do. Robert helped me, and although I didn't catch the manager's name or everyone who assisted me, I've genuinely never been treated so kindly by complete strangers. They went out of their way to help me, and I was incredibly lucky that they actually had a spare adapter available. I understand they don't usually do this, which makes it even more meaningful. They provided it to me at no cost, and I still don't know exactly how they made it happen, but it meant everything to me and my kids. It could have been a very long, stressful night or even days without internet, but they changed that completely. I left emotional and incredibly grateful. It reminded me that there are still genuinely kind people out there who go out of their way to help others without expecting anything in return.
