She is a senior citizen, so it was important that we find a phone that she could hold comfortably, see the text/keyboard, was compatible with hearing aids, and was affordable. We stopped in to this t-mobile location about noon and were promptly greeted by the friendly customer service rep, Alicia. After hearing our objective, Alicia showed us several different options and explained the features and benefits of each. She let us play with a few phones that made the short list before we decided on the phone that would best suit our needs. She also patiently answered all of our questions (some my mom may have asked twice). She then went the extra mile by setting up the phone with the settings we wanted, and even called the t-mobile CS for us to get the phone number changed to an Oregon area code (I was adding a line to my plan, which is based in NorCal, so the default area code wasn't local). We both left feeling excited about the schnazzy new phone, and were very appreciative of Alicia's attention to our needs and dedication to making sure every one of our needs was met before we left. If t-mobile continues to provide this level of service, I foresee being a customer for years to come.

I tried to get a phone from T-Mobile by calling their 800 number. I got someone who could barely…read morespeak English so I asked for another person. The next person that came on the line their English was even worse than the first unintelligible. So I go into the store thinking I'll get better service. Wrong! The people they got working there are so damn dumb they don't know anything. The worst part of it was their promotional prices require a contract and auto pay. If you pay by check they charge more which is unfair. I tried T-Mobile before and had a bad experience even years ago I thought I would give them another try but it was just the same. So I go to Verizon. The same crappy customer service and bad deals. So I go over to Mint mobile. Same thing. Crappy customer service, contracts, they raise your price incrementally and want to set you up with auto pay. All these companies are doing the same thing. So I finally go to Consumer cellular. No contracts there. The pricing was competitive. They still want you to sign up for auto pay but at a lot less money. So far so good with consumer cellular. I recommend trying consumer cellular over T-Mobile or Verizon or Xfinity or Comcast. I've done my research.

We headed out, limping along with barely any GPS on my sad Verizon phone and found this Metro PCS office. It's rather purple; the employee, Alonda, who saved the day has green hair. Super helpful, friendly and knowlegeable she was able to connect us to new phones (2 for the price of 1!) Iphones, that is, AND service AND new phones all for around $200!!!! Yes, I'm happy to switch! And super satisfied by both the service, products and staff. Funny I had to drive to Hillsboro from Milwaukie to find this gem in a little strip mall just down from the airport. MetroPCS. My new colour of choice is purple. A loyal fan indeed.

I was STILL receiving bills from T-mobile MONTHS after ending their service!! Also, when I first started using T-mobile's service, the service in the area I lived in was SO bad they had to give me a cell repeater to use in my home. Well, eventually it got to a point where service had improved enough that I didn't need the cell repeater anymore. I called T-mobile to return it. The customer service representative could NOT find any record of T-mobile sending a cell repeater to my address. Now, I called SEVERAL times during the years that passed and it was the same response. "We don't have any record of a cell repeater being sent to you." However, when I canceled my service, they SUDDENLY had a record of me having the cell repeater. Wow! What a coincidence! They threatened to charge me a couple of hundred dollars if I didn't return the repeater! Fortunately, I KEEP things like this because...well, I don't trust people, and for good reason! When I told the customer representative person I spoke to on the phone that I still had the repeater, they seemed almost disappointed they couldn't charge me for it!! So, I turned it and demanded a receipt stating it had been received! In the beginning, T-mobile was great. Excellent customer service, a reasonable price for my plan, and willing to sell me smartphones at a very reasonable price. However, after the headache I got when trying to cancel my service with them, I would NEVER use T-mobile again! DON'T TRUST T-MOBILE!!

The phones came without power supplies and our data switches were not powered (POE). The phones were 10/100 so our network speed with their phones would drop 90%. The phones were much more basic than our 20 year old system. We desperately looked for real help and found it with VoIP Portland. They saved us, took over the project and we sent the other phones back for a refund. Our new phones are incredible, color screens and fully programmable by us. For less than the 'bargain' we got from the other guys we received a hands-on installation and customization of the phones.
