The store gets cramped when it's busy with not much room to move around without being shoulder to shoulder with other shoppers. Great store overall however the customer service was not exactly stellar. Although there were employees available and offering to help with many things, it seemed kind of forced. I really cannot complain that much but this store sells rather expensive everything and when an employee looks unhappy and disinterested in helping, after offering help, it can detract from the experience. Again.. I don't have much to complain about but I cannot give 5 stars.

I called…read moreone day to schedule an appointment, and I was shocked by the fact that they were ready to come by the day of. But I was at work, so that wasn't happening! So I scheduled them to come by the next day when I would be at home a little bit. They sent me an email when Ronald (Ron), the one who would be taking on this job, was on his way. He was about 15 minutes late, but when he did arrive, he was there for about an hour and a half. I was very happy that he had shoe covers prepared to put on before stepping inside. As he checked the indoor and outdoor units, he was quite thorough in every aspect of his inspection. I especially liked the fact that he wasn't there just to give me an inspection report and be gone, he was willing to answer any questions and educate me as well. Even Dad learned new things, and he's been experienced with this stuff way longer than I have. I was glad to be able to have conversation, be comfortable, and feel like Ron knew exactly what he was doing. At the end of his service, he said that the inspection report would take 30-60 minutes to send over. This impressed me, as I usually expect a full day's worth of time before I receive this. As promised, I got the report within the hour. I want to give a big thank you to Ron, and I would recommend him to anyone who needs their units looked at. I am glad that I found AireServ.

If you have service done under the agreement they mark up any new parts needed by 4 to 6 times the market price. For simple things, I declined, bought the part and installed it. However, I recently needed a $1000.00 part replaced and the work was beyond my skills. B&B's estimate priced the part at over $5000.00. After "special" discounts for service agreement customers, the total quote was $3500. I called another company, who charged the market price for the part and did the entire job -with labor- for $3100. "Free labor" and "special discounts???" BS. The service agreement buys you nothing but two inspections a year and a chance to get used.

This used to be a good company. My female friend called B&B because her AC wasn't cooling. Tech (Darren) arrived quickly, and told her it would cost $3400 to repair. She unknowingly agreed and it was fixed and paid for in about 4 hours - before she could reach me. They charged her $3400 to replace an indoor Thermal Expansion Valve (TXV). Usually a $300 part and 3-4 hours of labor - so $800 or so total. I thought it was a mistake so I called and spoke to the service manager John - he said no that was what it should cost and walked me through the filter and coolant replacement costs and hourly labor rate. I mentioned that the tech would have had to be there for 15 hours on top of his parts and coolant to come to this price by his own math - as he outlined it for me. He was adamant this was the price. The tech was there for 4 hours and this still seemed justifiable to him. Even when he walked through the detail - it wasnt close. I have had several of these replaced (one last year) at different houses and never been charged more than $800. In short, they took advantage of a trusting lady who didn't know any better. This is a shame because we had used B&B many times before at multiple houses and found their service very high quality and reasonably priced. I am sorry that we will no longer use them - and it is a pity what has happened to this company.
