Terrible customer service. Our sales rep made me feel like she was doing us a favor by being there. Being new to the community, we were not familiar with the area or our shopping choices. She didn't bother to inform us about the "scratch and dent" area, which might have saved us some $$. We felt that we had to accommodate their delivery schedule without any consideration for our schedule. In store sales was wounderful. Service Sucks!!!! On June 6, 2025 I called service to have warranty work completed on my cooktop (Frigidair) was told "out of our service area". called Frigidair they sent a repair person out two weeks latter with a part that did not work. Called frigidiar agian send the same guy out again with same part. did not work again. REpair guy called tech support only to find the part was incorrect and the correct part wont be available until July 29, 2025 so I can wait a week after to get part (maybe) then another two weeks to see the reapir person so by this time it will be close to 3 moths without what I paid for. If Metro wont service what they sell then maybe they shouldnt sell theh product? I even offered to bring the cooktop to them only to be told NO. read more

The sales staff is knowledgeable and courteous. Price and selection is great. Installation crew will look for any reason NOT to install a refrigerator or a washing machine. Left my 82 yo father without a refrigerator citing " oh we're not allowed to hook up your existing copper line. And we're not allowed switch it with our plastic line". That was a while back. Today it was a washer. "Oh your valves must be replaced. No we can't do that. No, you can't just shut off the water at the street." So they dumped the new one in the garage and left. It took me 2 minutes to shut off the water . Hooking up the New appliance was routine. They just didn't want to do it. read more

We purchased a refrigerator, and washer and dryer from Metro Appliance. On delivery day the washer was missing, but later installed with no problems. Our older refrigerator was moved to the basement as agreed. Several days later we discovered the refrigerator was running but not cold. We contacted Morgan, our sales rep., and she spoke with her supervisor. The answer was that it was our old refrigerator, and things happen. I wasn't happy, it worked fine before you moved it. Then I asked if they would offer a discount on a new refrigerator, since now I need to replace the one you moved. She was very hesitant, then said she could ask her boss, but did not offer to go to him at the time. This is not the way you treat customer, I will be buying a new refrigerator at a more service oriented busines. read more

ABSOLUTELEY would never recommend this place!!!!! They will gladly take your money, however if you need assistance after that you are on your own. Sharon as well as Abbey could care less if you are satisfied. i would never buy another appliance from metro appliance in spfd mo. in november we purchased a frigidaire freezer/refrigerator combo. we were told we had no choice as to delivery date, we live north of spfd and they only delivered on a date, so we made arrangements for someone to be here. they brought it in and they were handling it vvery rough, in fact they scared the floor. my son started installing it because they would not install it, my son is very knowledgeable and follows directions. he installed the refrigerrator with not issues and when he started on the freezer, he folllowed the directions until he got to where he needed to hook up the water for ice, the directions would not work. we went back to metro appliances to their service dept and we made an appt to have a technician to come out. he came out and our son showed him the directions and the technician told him he had followed the wrong directions (he followed the directions that came with the freezzer). the technicians said he needed to follow the instructions he had, and he saw the piece and said he would have to order the part, we waited about a week and then we contacted him. we were told that part was no longer available and because my son had broke the part that they or frigidaire would honor the warranty. my son took epoxy glue to the part and it works, but for how long? i called frigidaire and told them the situation and i was told frigidaire would honor the warranty. i was so thankful, but if i had not called them we would not have any service from metro appliances in spfd, mo. our salesman was mason and he reminded me of a used car salesman, once the sale is made we got no service from him at all. i called and left a message to him stating that we needed to figure out how we can resolve this situation and i never got a call back at all, so mason you forced my hand to contact frigidaire and this bad review on metro appliances in spfd., mo. thank you for the previous reviews, which very few had good luck with metro appliances. either. you may want to reconsider your way of doing bussiness before you loss your business in the new one you have built in spfd,. mo read more

We ordered a washer/dryer combo for our new house. On move-in day, they told us the washer they had was damaged and they had to wait for more to come in in order to give us our replacement. They told us it might be about 2 weeks but did not say a specific date. We waited for 2 weeks and had to waste money at laundromats, and they told us they still didn't have one in and it MIGHT be "next week." Well at this point it was ridiculous, so I called the store and got told the salesman Brock was "busy" and we left voicemail after voicemail and email after email with no response for about a week. The response was "We will let you know when it comes in." Okay, so we have to sit here on our hands for an appliance we already paid for, not even getting offered some sort of discount, partial refund, or store credit while the dryer arrives on an ambiguous date. The day finally comes and they text my husband that the dryer will arrive today. He asks for one hour notice so he can take off work early and come meet the guy at the door since they have to come inside and install it. The response? "We will be there in 15 minutes." What kind of heads up is that?! Overall terrible customer service, ignoring our emails and phone calls, not offering anything to compensate for our wait time, and not being flexible with delivery. read more

Bought a freezer and returned to buy a dishwasher later in the month. Have some very snotty agents that want to argue when a question was asked about the unit. They want to charge to deliver to local town that is closer than they would deliver to other side of Springfield and this for close to $2000.00 Have a problem and found out they did not register the unit as they said. And then found out that it was an outdated/out of warranty unit from over a year ago. Manufacturer said will honor warranty since I have a receipt. But, still you would think that Metro would inform they were selling an outdated or old unit. Called and spoke with an agent who did a lot of tap dancing and rationalization to justify them selling an outdated unit. Just like a used car dealer. Will never buy from them again as I now consider than untrustworthy. They think a little to much of themselves. read more

We have bought a washer/dryer set, microwave and most recently a range & dishwasher from Metro. Their prices are competitive with the big box stores with the bonus of their sales people being very familiar with the products. The gentlemen who have delivered the various purchases have been courteous and very professional in moving things in and out of our home. We have been the most impressed with Sharon, Nick and Matt. All three of them did a great job with giving remarkable customer service. They are part of the reason we will continue shopping at Metro for any future appliances/lighting items. read more

This is a great place to get appliances with the caveat that you do not need a firm delivery date. The buying process was quick and easy and the employees were very helpful. They also beat the prices of the big-box places here in town by quite a bit. All of that was fantastic. If just going on that part of the experience alone, it would be 5 stars. BUT. I'm very thankful that I was in a place to be rather flexible on when exactly I needed my new appliances. I ordered a refrigerator, a washer, and a dryer. I left with a date of delivery and installation. Which, I assumed, was, you know, an actual date. Apparently it was more of a guess. A very loose guesstimate, if you will. The refrigerator ended up not even being delivered to their processing center until a week after my scheduled delivery date. Then it took a few days for me to be able to get on the schedule for delivery and install. The washer and dryer were about two and a half weeks later. So, major difference in projected date and actual date. I think the biggest part of this frustration wasn't just the delay, but the fact that they have absolutely ZERO tracking system from their suppliers. So, if they don't have something in stock at that moment, they have no way to tell you when they are getting it. They don't even know what items made it on a truck that they are expecting a shipment on THAT DAY. So, if your item isn't there, they don't have any way to tell you "it looks like we are scheduled to have it later this week." It is all just one gigantic surprise waiting game. So, if you need a set-in-stone date or are needing to replace an appliance ASAP that has unexpectedly died, realize that you may end up with a massive headache in exchange for the good deal that you get here. Thankfully, we weren't in this situation and could be flexible, so getting a great price was worth that bit of frustration. read more

I hope your appliances work properly because if they don't, this company is no help. My dishwasher purchased for my new house has been serviced twice now. When looking into swapping out my "lemon", this company could not or would not help me. I have a brand new house and am sitting on my second week of no dishwasher because this company and the company that does their service contracts are dragging their feet to fix it and they won't swap me out a new one. I will not use this company in the future and I advise you to do the same. **Update for readers after reading my initial review and the company's response. The service contract company told me the part came in today (day after my review and Metro response) and they won't be out until tomorrow. I never received a call yesterday from Mid America and Mid America said no service was EVER scheduled for today as you have "claimed" in your reply. I have to make arrangements to be home again tomorrow after already making arrangements to be home today. This is not acceptable! read more
