This one was a shocker for sure. After a few poor bakery attempts i decided to stop by methodical as a last resort to at least get a cookie or something. When I arrived they had a generous variety of laminated pastries, cakes, cookies, and so on. Not just a bunch of laminated stuff which is the new trend. I ordered 2 cookies (ginger and oatmeal) and a bread pudding. They even warm the pastries up for you if you ask!! Both cookies were delicious. They had a crispy edge with a soft chewy inside, not overly sweet but very well balanced. Really everything you could ask for in a cookie. Next was the bread pudding. Which is made with "old" croissants. I was on the fence and almost didn't order it because some people over due the sweetness. Again it was perfect. I had to force myself to stop eating it. When I passed back through 2 days later it was my first stop for more delicious treats. And I was so upset and almost lowered the review score because they didn't have more of that absolutely mind blowing bread puddling. But realized that would've been me being childish. So I gave them all 5 stars which the fully deserve. This is a must visit and anytime I pass through Greenville I'll be making a pit stop read more

Cute place with lots of seating! Coffee shop located inside of a big building shared with a few other businesses, so you can work in the Commons (not too many outlets though depending on where you sit so make sure you secure a table near one)! Beautiful latte art and yummy coffee!! read more

Fabulous coffee! This was the start to our day of exploring upstate and it was a perfect beginning. Two lovely baristas prepared a latte for Mrs. K. and a cortado for me. Very nicely done and while the latte was in a paper cup, my cortado was in the proper short glass. Excellent, rich coffee. At 7:30 on Sunday morning, the pastries were still arriving and being set up so we just enjoyed our coffee, watched a few people coming and going and then we were on our way ourselves. The Commons is a pretty awesome little food hall. Quiet this early but it's clear that it will pick up later in the day and into the evening. No half and half for coffee?? Who has ever heard of this? The guy said we have no way to process it? What the hell does that mean? I'll tell you how to process it you open the carton you poured it in and you put it back in the fridge and when it's empty to you throw it out!!. why is that so hard? Went in on a busy Saturday, line was long but it went quickly. I got a Matcha and a gruyere biscuit- Matcha was made there, satisfying to not see a pre-mixed sweet garbage (to the matcha drinkers that know what I'm talking about) nice and earthy The gruyere biscuit was so delicious I just wish we hadn't gotten the last one! We're visiting from Charlotte but would definitely come back - love this space and the outdoor seating is great. This is a great spot at the commons! Since it's trail side, you can sit inside or outside on the benches by the swamp rabbit. I love that they have vegan options for food. The avocado toast is great--a classic avocado toast elevated by good, crusty bread and fresh toppings. I always get it with coffee or a tea. read more

Love that there's a Methodical Coffee in the The Commons! They even have an expanded food menu that they don't have in their downtown location. They offer savory items from a Croque Madame to sausage breakfast bowl. They still have their pastries even though they are located next The Bake Room. Methodical offers more vegan and gluten free options. Definitely try the brown butter pecan blondie and the salted banana polenta loaf! If you're looking for a good study area, they do have four tables in the Methodical area that's off to the side. There's a few outlets there and definitely quieter compared to the rest of The Commons. read more

Absolutely adorable coffee bar at The Commons food hall. I love that the decor is true to that of their flagship and downtown locations! I ordered my favorite, an almond milk latte with lavender. The flavor wasn't quite as excellent as usual, and it came out a bit more lukewarm than hot, but I enjoyed it nonetheless. Perhaps if they offered mugs as an alternative to paper to-go cups that might help the drinks keep temperature while sitting and working. I've had many great experiences at this Methodical and other locations, so I'd say today was a bit of a one-off. I'll be back for sure, but I might ask them to make sure my drink is hot or go for an iced treat next time! read more

I've been to 2 other Methodical locations and always love the coffee. They roast their own beans and it's always flavorful and full-bodied. This location is in an old warehouse and shares the large space with other tasty restaurants and bakeries. At 9am on Sunday it had about 8 people there...by 10am the place was hopping. It's right off the Swamp Rabbit bike/walk trial beside the new Unity Park and it was great to see so many people enjoying their day with a cup of coffee! I also ordered their avocado toast with a side of scrambled eggs. The toast was not very toasted but the bread was fresh and avocado spread was flavorful. read more

We came in this morning and ordered a latte and a cappuccino. They called us up and both were sitting on the counter. We asked them which was the cappuccino and which was the latte. According to the guy with the pony tail and the girl who took our order an 8 oz cappuccino and an 8 oz latte are the same thing. We didn't feel like arguing but the staff should learn that a cappuccino is distinctly layered and in a latte the espresso and steamed milk are mixed together. read more

I LOVE methodical coffee and I've been looking forward to visiting a Greenville location from Sumter , SC for a long time. The coffee remains good, lattes were a bit cold, but the three stars is related to the attitude of the baristas who were rather unpleasant and treated me like I wasn't boujee enough to be there. read more
