Adorable spot hidden in DT Greenville. It was super quiet at the start of the morning meeting a friend for coffee and the latte was delicious.

Beautiful spot. I love that it's unique. So sick of these woodsy industrial cold coffee spots. Staff was so friendly. Inside is roomy. They also have some pastries. Vibe was so chill and inviting. I would definitely come back.

First, the atmosphere is absolutely stunning. Excellent service and very well trained baristas. The orange Americano is a must try. Can't wait to come back for more

An unexpected surprise at how good the latte was. The cherry blossom flavor wasn't too overwhelming and the coffee flavor still shined through. The pink and black aesthetic is also very neat. The service was friendly and knowledgeable.

So happy I stumbled upon this spot while walking down Main! It's such a unique place and absolutely gorgeous inside--the decor alone is worth the visit. coffee menu is super fun and creative, and the cherry blossom latte was amazing

Such a cute place right in downtown serving great coffee! I've been here a few times now, and every time I go, the coffee is great and the staff members are very friendly. I've had a blueberry muffin as well which was great, and all pastries looked delicious (they do run out of the good pastries earlier in the day, so go early if you want pastries). Plenty of seats, I've never seen anyone waiting for seats even during weekend mornings. Will keep coming back!

My friend and I went here for a cute cafe date, we got the butterscotch drink to split as well as the flights (which is so cute and fun to taste new things). Let me tell you... the london fog latte?? So bomb, delicious, perfect flavors, huge fan of cinnamon and they know what's up. This is the cutest little cafe, the music isn't too loud or distracting (like I find from a lot of places). The family that owns the business is VERY sweet, they know their drinks, overall great service. Wifi is fast, everything is clean, dark chill atmosphere with hints of pink (my favorite ). HIGHLY recommend!!

Vanilla Latte

Coffee very tasty and well presented, it enhances your morning mood. The environment inside very nice and plenty of space for you to sip you coffee and relax here.

Came here with a girlfriend because who doesn't want to see a pink tree!? Walked in to a very welcoming and relaxing setting. While ordering we had a great conversation with, who I assume was an owner. He was so nice and educated us their drinks, how to order, and my favorite that there is no up charge for alternative milks! I love the hint of pink through out the building. Will be going back for sure!

Vanilla latte (after 2 sips already. Could wait to taste it :)

We Just experienced their Latte, Cappacino, iced honey and cinnamon Latte and a Hot chai. All 4 of us agreed this was the best experience in a long time. And that cheese scone!! Wow Definitely coming again

This is the cutest coffee shop I've been to in a while. The atmosphere feels cozy and fresh. The service was amazing. You can tell they really are about what they are doing and serving. The coffee is delicious. I look forward to trying many different drinks on their menu. A nice new addition to downtown

We stumbled upon this cafe and oh my goodness what a gem!!!…read more My husband and I are no strangers to Greenville but we usually stay closer to downtown proper. This was barely outside of where we go, maybe 2-3 miles, but the sandwich menu online looked solid so we decided to give it a shot. This place has a large footprint with the cafe, grocery store, coffee shop, patio benches, and a small playground. Parking is...unique and you just kind of find a spot that makes sense. The line to order sandwiches was long but it actually moves super fast because they have like 6 registers taking orders. We ordered the Gouda Gobbler and the Turkey Pesto sandwiches and both were absolutely incredible. The bread honestly makes it and we even saw people walking around just eating loaves of this bread out of a bag. After lunch, we walked around inside the store and it was so cute. There's plenty of local items and fresh produce. We will definitely be back and have found a new hot spot!

Met up with an old student to do a check in and ordered a vegan tempeh sandwich. Bread really wholesome but inside the sandwich everything was an accessory to salt. Salt was the main player in that sandwich..Soooooo much salt, I needed three cups of water in the next 15 minutes. I mean, really?! Not impressed!

So I'm thinking ok this place has to be good. It took about 20-25 mins to get to the register and order. I ordered the sweet corn shaken espresso with almond milk and a cinnamon roll so I could make sure to show support. It took 22 mins to get the drink which o tried to be understanding because it was busy and there was really only one person making drinks. Most efficient way? Maybe not but he was steadily working. I watched probably 20 drinks come up almost spilling over they were so full and delicious looking. Finally mine comes up and 1/4 of the cup is empty. Weather ice or almond milk at least fill the cup like the rest of the drinks. So whatever 45 mins I'm not asking for a remake or anything it's already hot inside and just standing there I'm sweating. I get in the car and think well they short changed the drink at least I got this thick cinnamon roll to make up for it. Well jokes on me again. The roll was very dense and dry. While it may have been made that morning it was dry as if it was a day or two old. I figured maybe it was just the outside that was dry but it was the same even in the center. The centers are always supposed to be the best part. Sadly I didn't get the experience everyone else seems to get. Over all pretty disappointing experience that I wish would have been better to give a better review for a local shop.

They have multiple doors to enter which was confusing, so I had to double back to the counter where you actually had to order drinks. The interiors are spacious. inviting, and modern, as evidenced by the nearly 30 people I saw camped out at tables working away at their laptops or holding video conferences. They also have a nice outdoor patio space as well. I went with an order of a half sweet iced mocha latte. There's an additional charge for any added flavoring, so the drink set me back over $7 (before any tip). While I don't mind paying a bit extra for a great drink, I felt it was very average in taste and probably would have received better from a chain coffee shop. Service from the staff was friendly. I felt this is one of those more modern workspace coffee shops that's lost in a bit of an identity crisis with some market and prepared food items. Perhaps I'm just not their target clientele given they seem to have a loyal following, but felt Chestnut Coffee House was a pretty average and slightly overpriced drink experience for me.

North St. based on the 4.5 Yelp rating. What's going on here? Are these reviews being artificially boosted? I genuinely had to look at my phone to make sure I'd come to the right place based on expectations vs. reality. We ordered the biscuits and gravy with eggs and chicken. The chicken was a had an odd mushy/spongy texture -- a couple of tenders unceremoniously dropped on the plate and nothing like in any of the marketing photos -- and the gravy was not very flavorful at all. Someone else in my party got the chicken and waffles -- their chicken was better than mine, but still completely unimpressive. I also have to say, unfortunately, that the staff is not on their game. We had communication problems with the person taking our order, and the self-bussing area was overflowing with dirty forks and plates. This is a corporate slop establishment, and Greenville has at least a dozen breakfast spots, especially locally-owned ones, that are miles better than this. I regret not looking a bit harder for a better local spot.
