I had a delightful coffee and spent about two hours pounding away at my keyboard before it was time to move on to the next. This is a really nice space for coffee and working on your laptop. On every trip along I85, I gotta make a pot stop here. The iced Moon Milk Mocha is my absolute favorite! I always make sure to grab a bag of coffee too for my pour overs. The store itself is always clean and love the feel and vibe. Plenty of bagged coffee, merch etc as well. read more

What a great coffee place, first time here . Second time having coffee from here. The place is nice and clean. Friendly staff. They have a nice variety of coffees and pastries . They also have signature ground coffees and cups. They also have some really nice apparel, t-shirts, sweatshirts and hats. What I really loved about this place is that all the employees love what they are doing here. And the best part was no employee was on there phone while working. You just don't see a lot of that in other places. So it's great to know that the employees are really focused on the customers. The prices are reasonable. Family friendly. I was excited to try their coffee and sweets so we went inside to enjoy our first visit. The coffee was bitter, not a smooth roast considering the drink was a sugar cookie latte. The cinnamon roll was stale and just didn't taste right. The plus side: service was friendly, the drive thru was packed, and they were working hard. What a great find! This location was a Port City Java years ago when we lived in the area. Just happened to be back and found a new spot. Summer Moon has a diverse menu of coffees and pastries. The staff were welcoming and friendly. Quiet ambiance inside with multiple seats and outdoor dining options. Love they have a drive through as well. There is one location in North Carolina and we hope to see this franchise start popping up soon in Raleigh. read more

I went on Grand Opening Day and was one of the first 50 people to arrive. I loved it! The vibe and decor is very modern and stylish. They had balloons and super cute mason jar cookies. The first 50 people got swag bags and I was able to get a cool T-shirt. The oak roasted coffee options are unique and their moon milk is phenomenal! I tried the cinnamon and i drank every drop. I also tried the ham and cheese pie. It was a little cold but that didn't stop me from finishing it. The staff was excited and helpful, frequently checking on everyone to make sure no one has questions on the menu. I will definitely return when I'm in the area! I'm super excited to have a new go-to coffee place close to home! While I have to say that Methodical Coffee still has the best coffee in town, it's not super convenient to make my way downtown just to grab one of their lattes...which makes Summer Moon on Mills the perfect blend! (pun intended, har har har) It at the very least has its own parking lot, not to mention plenty of seating (and varied types - low comfy chairs, regular tables, and 'bar' style seating against the front windows, plus a couple of tables outside as well). The employees were friendly and my Iced Cinnamoon Latte was awesome! I'm not big on super sweet coffee/coffee drinks, but as a first timer I chanced ordering it as is and it was perfect, with JUST the right amount of sweetness, at least for me. (Meaning, it was just a touch of sweetness, but of course one could always add sugar if you prefer a sweeter drink - much easier to add than take away, let's be honest.) Yes, it's a bit pricier than Dunkin' or Starbucks, but definitely worth it for what I believe was higher quality coffee overall. read more

So I came in here completely blind, not knowing anything about this amazing spot! Just saw that it was a new coffee shop and I'm visiting my family for the holidays from Atlanta so decided to stop by. I was so confused by the menu but the barista gently guided me through everything. Their moon milk is so good and can be customized to be non-dairy! We love a new coffee shop here in Greenville! First off: the inside is GORGEOUS! I love the wall color, the light scones, and the leather chairs. It's just so darn pretty in here. The staff were extremely nice and they helped you out with the menu and what the moon levels are! I got the 1/4 Moon Iced Latte. What's a moon you ask? It's Summer Moon's signature sweet cream. Moon Milk complements the oak-roasted undertones of our coffees, rather than overtaking them. Since I got the 1/4, it's not as sweet. You can order ahead or even go through their drive thru. My friend I got there at 6:30 AM. Isn't it great that it's open this early?! I'll be coming back and trying many more drinks on their menu! read more

I generally prefer coffee unsweetened or minimally sweet coffees and the 1/4 moon (both hot and cold) was about right for me. Overall pretty good coffee, relaxing atmosphere, and fast service. Summer moon is good for a quick coffee stop but if you're looking for a more refined artisan coffee experience this isn't going to be it. The steamed milk in my latte was mixed into my espresso rather than floating on top so felt more like drinking sweet coffee rather than a true latte. read more

I wasn't able to go on opening day, but I went through the drive thru a few days (weeks?) later to give it a try and the guy in the drive thru made my drink the opposite of what it should have been. I asked for all whole milk in the cinnamoon latte and even confirmed with the guy taking my order several times that I didn't want any oat milk in my latte. About an hour later I was curled over in horrible stomach pain (all oat milk does this to me, no fault of Summer Moon's oatmilk) so I haven't wanted to go back to try it again, unfortunately. But my husband loves their coffee! It's his favorite place in town and he goes weekly! I just had an unfortunate experience, which is too bad because as a mom of 3, I love having drive thru coffee shop options that aren't Starbucks. read more

Since Google won't allow me to do another review I will do one here. I discovered this amazing coffee shop in June 2024. I did a Google review from that first visit. I gave it 5 stars and I can truthfully say if I could give it 10 stars on this review I would. I have been a regular here since that first visit in June 2024. I have to be out of town on business often and when I do I am very disappointed. Summer Moon Coffee has zero competition. For an example, a couple of weeks ago I was out of town and had to settle for Starbucks. You know it's going to be bad when the barista is clueless about what a 12 ounce cup is and what a medium roast coffee is. Seriously??? The quality of product and service at Summer Moon is always outstanding. I also go by to get work done and it's the perfect place to do that. Beautiful store and has a very comfortable and inviting setting. The music is always spot on and never to loud. I can always have phone calls with customers and they can't hear the music. Then the awesome staff is so sweet, kind, and welcoming. They have become my adopted family. They always make me feel like I am a part of their family. When I am not out of town on the weekends I stop by to enjoy my coffee and relax and also because I know the staff will make my day special by the way they treat me. When you live alone and don't have people in your life it's great to know I can go by Summer Moon Coffee and have a genuine and caring staff there to fill the void. I travel over the Southeast and coffee is a daily part of my life and I am always stopping somewhere for it but I can assure you there is no other coffee shop anywhere that can come close to this awesome and amazing place. This is a perfect example of how to operate a business and not only retain customers but gain customers. Coffee was so bad. My husband wanted regular coffee and they do not offer it after a certain time so he got an Americana that was horrid, it was bitter, yet watered down tasting. He said it tasted like dirt. And he isn't a picky coffee drinker. Only a couple of syrup flavors for lattes, no caramel. My daughter got a blue moon latte that tasted chalky. The options for pastry's looked very old and dry so we passed on those. If we didn't get these drinks to go I probably would've asked for my money back but I didn't feel like turning around and going back. There was also some teenagers in the corner practically laying across each other, not a nice image for kids to see. read more

I stopped at the new Summer Moon Coffee and did the drive-thru. Coffee was terrible. I had to throw it out. I ordered a ham and cheese sandwich. It was cold in the middle and I couldn't eat it.
