We needed to get a new gate to replace the old construction style gate for our house, so I found these guys online and reached out for a quote. Noam from the company met me, was super friendly, and went over several options, and while at first it seemed like it was going to be very expensive, once I got other estimates that I thought would be cheaper, it seemed like it was a very fair price in the end. They were very efficient and accommodating, and even came by to pick up the hardware for the pedestrian gate that I wanted to use so they could pre-install it and make sure that it fit perfectly in the gate. It took about three or four days to install the gate (double gate that swings open with an electric motor and a side pedestrian gate to the right) and they were so efficient, professional, and easy to work with. Motor they installed kept having problems. They blamed the gate itself since they didn't install that part. I Called another company and they found a faulty motherboard in the motor. Confirmed nothing wrong with actual gate. Other company fixed motherboard and now it's working. read more

We hired this company to put it a gate on our driveway about three years ago. The work that they originally did was beautiful -- expensive, but beautiful -- and I would have given them 4, if not 5 stars. Unfortunately, they lost any good will that I had towards them when we needed them to do a repair for us last January. There had been high winds, and our power surged, taking out everything from the heaters to our gate. We called Method and asked them to come out and take a look at the gate. It turned out that the transformer that charges the batteries to our gate was fried by the power surge, and it and the batteries needed to be replaced. They charged us something in the neighborhood of $60 (if not more) just to come out and look at our gate. That was frustrating, but it only got worse. They quoted us $600 (!!!!) to replace the transformer and the batteries. It took their repairman 30 minutes to do the entire repair. When I asked what was so expensive, they told me that the batteries were $95 each, and the transformer was just as much. I asked to see the batteries, and checked online to see how much they cost. because I found it hard to believe. I found the same batteries that they put in our gate for $15 on Amazon. I asked why they were charging us so much when I saw the exact parts they were installing for $80 less, and the guy doing the repair basically insinuated that I was an idiot and was looking at the wrong parts. While I didn't appreciate his tone, I figured that he was probably right and there was something I was missing.... Flash forward to last week. The batteries on our gate completely gave out (the batteries actually power the gate at every use -- the power supply is used only to charge the batteries, not to power the gate). They used second-rate batteries that lasted less than a year (the OEM batteries that came with our gate motor had lasted 2+ years and only gave out when the power surged and the transformer was fried). Adding insult to injury, I was able to order not only two new OEM batteries, but also the shelf that they sit on in the gate set up (which saved us some rewiring) for about $110, all in. My husband installed the new batteries in about 30 minutes. In sum, these guys charged us $600 (!!!) for 30 minutes of work and $60 of crappy non-OEM parts that gave out after less than a year. We were able to do it ourselves for a faction of the cost. What gets me is that when I called them on the ridiculous markup, the guy lied to my face. Unless you really don't care what it costs and just want a pretty gate, I would avoid these guys at all costs. I don't trust them. read more

val is great to work with. he answers his phone and comes to your house when he says he will. i needed an iron custom-made side gate for my house. the design was unusual and very ornate and detailed. i called a few gate companies...some never returned my calls. some came but couldn't do the design i wanted. when val came to my house and saw my design he said no problem. he even gave me a quote the same day. so i ordered and a few weeks later val's guys installed it. i expected it not be perfectly to my specs because usually that's what happens with such a detailed/custom design. however when the gate arrived, it was perfect. exactly as my specs described. they are not the cheapest gate company you will find but they are honest, fast and do quality work. you get what you pay for! thanks val. i love the new gate! read more

had a garage door that was off track and the cables came off of the spools, due to the springs tension becoming weak (door was about 10 years old)2 days ago Service guy looked at it for about 1 minute and said that it would be $350 to put the 3 rollers back into the track and re-string the cables. He said that I should also replace the springs for $125.00 each. for a total of $600.00 i mentioned that I had only paid about $450.00 for the door originally and he said that the same door now would cost $1,300.00 I paid the $45.00 service fee and said goodbye. Watched a 10 min u-tube video and fixed door myself in about 1 1/2 hour. Also a local sales add said I could have a new door same type (non-insulated and no windows) installed for $599.00 from other local company (also new springs at Oles and home depot about $45.00 each). Guess the service tech or maybe whole company thought I was stupid and would gladly way, way, way over pay them. read more
