We are so impressed with all aspects of this company. Excellent communication, polite employees,…read moregreat teamwork by all of them. Our order was to bring a hand railing up to code. The prior homeowner had a bent pipe for a handrail on our front staircase that was inappropriate, too low at the top and left everyone curious about the character who installed it. Points for low budget and creativity, but not classy or a match for a historical home. I asked KSIW to give us a black handrail that had square posts and a flat handrail. I trusted them to create it and was pleasantly surprised with the results. We love Francisco who installed the railing. He was super neat and clean, efficient and filled the stucco hole in my home left behind when the old railing was removed. (I told him I would touch it up with paint and not to worry.) He is very friendly!

My landlord's handyman fixed it but i wasnt feeling confident so I wanted to call someone myself. After calling a different garage repair business that didn't answer their phones, I called One Garage Door and Repair and Eddie answered on the first ring. Eddie was at my place within the hour and I explained to him what happened. He took a look at everything and said everything looked very secure and told me not to worry. He then proceeded to install an extra metal piece to secure the garage door opener and told me there was no charge. He said he wanted me to have peace of mind. Awesome guy! It was no problem and the whole installation of two scissor gates took two hours and fifteen minutes. This is as great a deal as you are going to get in the L.A. area.

had a very disappointing experience with Gold Garage Door and would not recommend them based on my…read moreexperience. Gold Garage Door replaced our security gate, but I was not aware that the work involved used parts. Had I known this upfront, I would not have agreed to proceed. The sample photos shared during the quoting process gave me a different impression of what was being proposed. Now, the security gate needs those parts replaced, so I contacted the company to ask whether their work was covered by a warranty. I was told there was no warranty. Instead of offering a reasonable resolution, I was quoted an additional amount to replace the parts. After researching the hardware myself, I found the same types of parts available online for a fraction of the quoted cost. The new quote was approximately five times what I could find for the parts online, and when I requested clarification and an itemized breakdown of the materials and labor, the company went unresponsive. My issue isn't simply the cost. It's the lack of transparency about using previously used parts, the absence of a warranty on the work, the substantial difference between the quoted price and the cost of the parts I found, and the unwillingness to communicate when I asked reasonable questions. Customers deserve to know what they're paying for, whether the parts being installed are new or used, and what protections they have if those parts need to be replaced. I would strongly encourage anyone considering Gold Garage Door to get all details in writing, verify the condition of the parts, and confirm warranty terms before moving forward. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this company.

He quoted me a very reasonable price to replace the part, and I was ready to hire him, when I decided to ask what it would cost to replace the whole unit, since it was over 30 years old. He did not try to convince me to replace the unit, but merely stated that these units, under normal duress, usually last no more than 20 years. I, myself, decided it was the smart decision to replace the unit. Yali offered me a fair price, and with the use of the Yelp deal, I was able to save an additional $15. Yali offered to come back the following day to install my new LiftMaster garage door opener, and he was so affable to be around that I found myself staying in the garage to enjoy pleasant conversation with him while he worked diligently. Altogether, the experience was not the nuisance I thought it would be, but an enjoyable one, with a good outcome. I feel comforted that I have the best garage door opener on the market that was installed by a pro in record time. Thank you, Yali, for your professional service and professional attitude!

They have sister companies who they work with so you never know who is showing up. We hired socal, win company gave us the invoice and gates express showed up.socal garage and gate (CSLB 1081161) and Gates Express (CSLB 1081161). They are all family. First they installed a gate motor that is over 10 years old without disclosing it's refurbished. He said that we didn't ask, and they sell only refurbished. This is not disclosed anywhere and was not on the invoice. It's not even been 2 months and it's been non stop problems. The gate won't open, it'll open and shut again, it opens extremely slowly. We've had to call every other day or every week. David (Dudi) and Nick are not trustworthy. They say they offer solutions and will fix it but nothing is ever truly fixed. They say that it can take months before the gate will "learn" how to work properly. I don't have months and the average consumer does not want to call every day for a problem. Another solution was just to "ignore it" taking a minute to open. Then they started giving me attitude and accusing me of lying. Dudi offered a free (again refurbished) motor if we installed a 120v outlet outside and today denied he ever said that. Also when they installed the power line running to the garage was buried extremely shallow causing n multiple safety issues for exposure to elements, animals or trip risk. Further the gate can just be pushed open at any time. They said I should've asked for a locking mechanism I would need to pay extra. THEY NEVER SAID I NEEDED ONE! isn't it implied that the gate would not be easily pushed open? They did not present is a lawful CSLB contract. The list goes on and on. Before you hire a company look up it's numbers and research other affiliations. Do not choose this company. At this point I want it gone and a refund. I don't trust them, I don't feel comfortable with them coming to my home. They refused.

This company, which shockingly has all great reviews, was the highest quote. The second highest was $875. We ended up getting the repair done for $300 total. It is very important to get a lot of quotes for any repair job. I was very confused how a job that was getting quoted at 400-600 suddenly got a quote for $1400, but now I understand some people just want to make a LOT on every job. This job was completed in 2 hours total.
