The injector insisted that my previous treatment approach was "incorrect," comparing it to only partially treating the issue. It feels clear there is pressure to upsell, and now I'm paying the proverbial price. My brows & eyes are drooping, and my entire face looks weighed down - the complete opposite of a "lift" --everything has compressed, emphasizing every line. I look angry and sad at the same time, and all I can do is wait for it to dissipate. It has honestly depressed me, kept me awake at night, and with the holidays approaching, it's been highly stressful. I fully recognize these are first-world problems, and I'm fortunate to even be able to afford this kind of maintenance. Aggressive Removal: The removal of the wax sheet by the esthetician was noticeably aggressive and forceful. Immediate Pain & Acknowledgment: Immediately after the wax removal, I informed the esthetician, Treasure, that the areas above and between my eyebrows were extremely painful. Negligent Aftercare: I questioned whether a proper post-wax cleanser (such as rubbing alcohol) had been used. Treasure confirmed that "No" such cleanser was applied. I was only advised to use a generic ointment and Vitamin E oil. Upon returning home, the painful area above and between my eyebrows became severely red and inflamed. I subsequently confirmed that the skin in these blotches-on both sides above the brow and between the brows-had been physically lifted and removed (skin abrasion/burn). Current State of Injury: The damaged area has progressed from red to pink and is now a noticeable brown/hyperpigmented color.
