Came to Mesmerize with my 2 year old as it's an all-ages activity and children under 3 are free. My son was so surprised when we entered! He's never seen anything like it. When you first step in, you'll first notice all the lights and colors. Super cool atmosphere giving an art gallery-ish vibe. My favorite part was the wishing wall area. You're able to read all the written wishes from past visitors and write one yourself. Overall, I think it's a cool sensory activity for kids. As an adult, I wouldn't be interested. The space is very small and only takes a few minutes to get through. My son wanted to stay for a whole hour and spent it looking, feeling and playing through all the different installations. Overall, I'd say it's a great way to introduce kids to art in such a fun space. I don't think adults would spend more than 20 minutes there lol.

First things first: They were very, very safe, clean, and distanced when we were here. Yay! Now for the review... Loved this experience! When you enter you have a second of confusion before you can orient yourself and then you're just in awe. There are beautiful & sometimes trippy environments contained within, and you have ample time to view them all. The amount of people per hour is kept small so that you can keep distanced and have time "alone" with each part of the multiverse. If you like taking selfies, this is definitely a place for you--even bug your friends to take pictures of you with the incredible scenery. There's a little story to it, too, and it's very cleverly written. Altogether I enjoyed very second of it; a good bit of it was interactive, which was a delight. There was plenty of hand sanitizer available. Thanks, Mesmerize! We dig you. (-:

This Is Mesmerize is one of the most fun and interactive exhibits I've experienced! From the beginning the staff was very friendly and accommodating as well as informative! They made us feel welcome, and walked us through a lot of the areas! It was also very clean and there was hand sanitizer throughout the whole exhibit. I would definitely recommend it for all ages!

This is a cute little art experience. Don't go comparing it to Meow Wolf or anything -- its small size is one of its best characteristics! Hear me out -- it's not a major time commitment, it allows you to really focus on just a few installations, it's great for young kids, and it's affordable. You can see everything in under 30 minutes or you can spend a bit more time really engaging. They give you an hour, I believe, as part of your time slot. I felt like they did a good job limiting the amount of people coming in at a specific time. It didn't feel too crowded. The art installations were cute. They were interactive in pretty basic ways (climbing, etc.) but I brought my kids who really enjoyed them. If my kids are happy then so am I! I've never brought kids to any bigger art installations but I'd imagine the large scope could get overwhelming. This smaller size felt just right. I had my 3-year-old and my 17-month-old with me. They both had fun climbing and touching things. The price is reasonable and the fact that kids 3 and under are free is a major draw! Really nice staff. They had someone on the floor at all times. She was very friendly and not intrusive (offered just enough advice to be helpful). Their customer service is great as well! The first time I booked, I got sick. It was my daughter's birthday so she went with her daddy and I stayed home with my son. Mesmerize staff was super nice and let me rebook on a different date (weeks later). Believe it or not, I got sick again (been endless with my daughter bringing home bugs from school this season). They were also nice enough to let me push the day back so I could get better before visiting. I really appreciate their flexibility. So even though tickets are non-refundable, they will help you reschedule in case of illness. Parking was easy. Clean bathroom inside. Easy to go in/out (if you have to return to your car). Ultimately, this is a cute date idea that leaves ample time for dinner or a nice way to occupy kids, including toddlers! read more

This place popped up on my Facebook feed. Showed my friend and she was down. The place is a little tricky to find but you have to pay attention. It's a small place. All the displays are interactive and have signs. They all were very interesting!! read more

I brought my 6yo daughter and we had the most amazing experience. I was thoroughly impressed and she was completely mind-blown - really didn't expect such a thoughtful and beautifully-designed experience from the unassuming outside. The space isn't huge, but each corner is so unique and detailed that we ended up going through the labrynth 4-5 times, still finding new scenes each time. Rebeca at the front desk was incredibly friendly and enthusiastic, with some great tips on things to look out for. Ideal for a date, group, solo, children or grabbing photo/video content that's out of this world. read more

WOW what a horrendous rip off. It would be great for $5, maybe, but almost $30 per person? No, no way. I went through the whole thing in under 15 minutes, maximum, and was in no way mesmerized. It sort of felt like walking through someone's homemade haunted house, but it without the same sense of adventure. There are a few clever interactive features and fun photo ops, and I very much appreciate the tribute to local artists... You're just better off saving your money for pretty much anything else in the way of entertainment. read more

It's worth noting that the operators of this installation are offering a free poster to anyone who shows them a positive review on social media, so take the reviews you see online with a grain of salt... This could be a fun outing if you're looking to amplify a psychedelic experience, but it didn't meet my expectations as a $25 per person art exhibit. There were a couple of interesting interactive pieces using digital projectors and audio equipment. However, a lot of the space is dedicated to themed rooms (everything is teal! all this stuff is spray-painted silver!) that detract from the more interesting elements. And it's small - we explored the entire space several times and left after ~30 min. The COVID safety measures felt a little inconsistent. The host seemed caught off-guard and rushed to fasten their mask back on their face when we arrived at the check-in area (indoors, with a half-dozen patrons in the next room...) and we saw no evidence of the promised frequent cleaning between visitors for the interactive elements of the exhibit. Some of the spaces are quite small and require self-policing among the patrons to allow for social distancing. On the positive side, the interactive audio experience did provide headphone coverings, and there were a few bottles of hand sanitizer scattered around the exhibit. Overall, it was an okay outing, but it fell short of my expectations at this price point and didn't really live up to my hopes for COVID-19 safety for the un-vaccinated folks in our group either. read more

It reminds me a lot of meow wolf but you don't hVe to drive all the way to Santa Fe or Las Vegas to go! read more

We took our parents and young kids (5 and 3) here, and everyone had a great time. There's plenty of super cool exhibits and a compelling narrative with a few surprises thrown in as you explore. I'm so pumped this exists in Austin and can't wait to see how it grows and changes! Re: the pandemic, the COVID-19 precautions seemed good to us as well. There is a restricted number of guests allowed in at any time, so it felt like we were alone most of the time. Mask adherence was fine from what I could tell. read more

A must-see attraction nestled in the super convenient nook between downtown proper and the east side. Mesmerize is inside Native Hostel (a uniquely designed spot with a cafe, bar, and fantastic people watching within). It's a homegrown creation with contributions from all locally based artists, and the art featured is trippy, whimsical, and fun. There are interactive installations throughout this self-guided adventure and plenty of things to look at and play with. Ultimately a very calming and awe-inspiring experience. You should definitely check it out. read more

I mean...it was cool, yes BUT pretty pricey considering it takes about 15 minutes to get through...the exhibits are neat enough but I definitely dont think it was worth the price. It's also inside of a bar so idk if its a kid friendly as they suggested. read more

I'm…read moreholding a star since we received an email saying we got our deposit back Aug 12th and I still haven't seen the funds in my account- but besides that issue it's definitely got a 5 star rating! We actually got married a month prior in MA, but needed to celebrate the occasion with all our friends who live here with us in TX. This event space was perfect for a party on a budget. The view- I mean, come ON, was just incredible, and the backdrop for everyone's photos! People could not stop talking about how phenomenal it was. The process of getting the place was a bit tricky, as I could not navigate their government website to select the date and missed the cut-off time before having to do the lottery. Luckily, not a lot of people were begging for dates in August as the venue does not have air conditioning- so the heat was a bit brutal (but that's Texas!)- but we got it no problem! I ended up calling and the person I spoke to was very helpful. Speaking of air conditioning- or lack-there-of- we ended up renting some swamp coolers (huge cooling fans that run off of ice- but a LOT of ice!!) to help with the heat. There are ceiling fans and a few industrial fans included- but those don't help too much in August! I had a hard time figuring out what exactly we needed- so I'm going to add a quick "plug" for Preferred Climate Solutions our of Hutto, TX. They worked ZPC before and knew how to set things up. Brett even had an extra swamp cooler from an earlier event he let us use. Moving on- because this place doesn't require use of specific vendors- it made it that much affordable. We hired Slab BBQ to cater and Pixster photo booth for fun. For drinks, we filled out the necessary paperwork (some cheap $10ish permit? I can't quite remember) and we're able to just bring in a few kegs and boxes of wine from PartyBarn. Everything went off without a hitch! Good to note- the place provides a bunch of tables. Two huge round ones, a few smaller round and rectangle ones, and some nice cocktail tables we used on the patio. (The cocktail tables and one rectangular were good enough condition to go without tablecloths- the rest require coverings.) For lighting- it was definitely important to us to get string lights on the patio. I realized last minute that getting a few hundred feet of lights was going to be trickier than I initially thought- since I had to consider ones that connected and could manage the power of 300 ft of lights. I used Americanpartylights.com- it worked out great! They included zip ties which is important since it's against the park rules to use tape (holds better anyways.) I found a great diagram of ZPC patio for the light arrangements and measurements (photo included.) It was a perfect celebration and I HIGHLY recommend this space for any event! It has such a cool vibe even without decorations, your set up can be minimal and still look amazing. Plus... that VIEW!

After being so stressed, I remember finding this location randomly and calling to see if they had any openings in the month of January, luckily they did at the end of the month on the 31st and I looked up photos and reviews and just had to book it right away!!! Easy to find, a lot of parking space, and just beautiful. I felt so blessed to have found this place. My wedding was just so beautiful!

Loved that everyone was wearing a mask, the artworks were absolutely amazing and dare i say "mesmerizing"! I can tell that the artists put in their absolute everything into the works. The story of Mesmer was captivating and was captured in an amazing way. Not only was everyone being very covid friendly and following all guidelines that applied to them, but it was an amazing experience. Reading the journals and following each path felt as if you were being transported into another universe. This is an excellent place to go on a date or just with a group of friends. Cool place with interesting exhibits , would recommend to family and friends. I really enjoyed the club Calisto and the space room. They give out free stickers and have a bar right outside the museum so that's a plus. read more
