I had a great experience here! I suffer from alopecia and don't have much lashes to begin with. I was told they glue the lashes onto your own lashes. When she finished the extensions my lashes looked so full and beautiful! First they sit you down and show you different eyelash options. You get to look at lot of before and after photos they have of their clients. Once you choose that they sent you to this cute room where they give you a blanket and pillows to get comfy and relaxed. They tape up your eyes and put soft relaxing music in the background. It was about an hour to do both eyes. While getting it done you don't feel anything!! My lady had such a soft touch that I didn't even feel the tools she was using! When they finish up they give you a mirror to analyze if there's something you don't like they fix it on the spot. They give you directions on how to keep your lashes nice and give you a wand too. Great experience and def will be back! read more

Wow! I'm so happy to have found Mesmereyeze!!!! I live in the city but come to the area often for shopping and checked this place out on a whim. Usually I get my lashes done at Lash Forever or JJ Lashes in Soho, they do a great job but cost an arm and leg so I was happy to find this location nearby to my favorite nail salon. Just got my lashes done here today and I'm sooooo happy with the results and the price was way less than what I pay in the city. I'll admit, I was nervous to try a new lash salon but I went with my gut instinct and glad that I did. The space is clean and welcoming, they even have better tools like the fan that blows scented air at the lashes. I will be here every two weeks to make sure my eyelashes are full and beautiful. They were running a great promotion today and the prices are unbeatable. Don't hesitate to try them out, everyone was friendly and professional. I couldn't be happier with my results. I was able to call and make an appointment the same day and they were able to accommodate me even though they were super booked! When I walked in I was greeted, the place looked extremely clean and nicely decorated, the staff took care of me right away, asked me what type of look i was going for and told me about their great first time customer special of a full set for $60! I laid down and I have to tell you, I did not feel a thing....it was great! The specialist put a little mask underneath my eye that felt refreshing, and she was very gentle which I appreciate since the eyes are such a delicate part of the body. I actually almost fell asleep because I felt nothing! After she was done, she used a little fan to dry my eyes a bit and all done, it took about 40-45 minutes? I WAS IN LOVE! This review is for eyebrow waxing only. I went in telling the woman that I am growing my eyebrows out and that I do not want her to over wax. All I wanted was for her to clean them up. Of course when I got off the table my eyebrows were over waxed, uneven and thinner than before. Great! now I have to grow them out for another 3-4 months to get the shape I was after. I called to make an appointment to get my eyeliner tattoo done. Before the day of the appointment, they gave me a reminder call for the time and the price. It's in a shopping strip so there is plenty parking, and other stores nearby. When I went in, it was clean and the front desk person greeted me and knew who I was (I was right on time), she gave me a form the fill and sign, and then Maria, came to sit in front of me to ask me briefly introduce herself and get to know me. She then led me to the room where she was going to handle the procedure, we both talked about how I wanted to do my eyeliner tattoo, and she explained to me thoroughly how the procedure was going to be like, and the basic shape of the eyeliner when it was finished. The procedure was as she promised 2 hrs, she uses the 1st 30mins for the numbing cream to set in. She leaves the room and comes back after 30 mins. Then she will come back and get to work, it's painless at first, but the numbing cream does wear off from time to time but if you tell her she reapplies it again and again. At the end I could feel the pain but it was endurable. When we finished she let me look at the mirror (she also made me check the mirror between each time she was tattooing) and I made sure I was satisfied and it did turn out very close to how she first explained at the beginning. After I went out they offered ibuprofen for the pain, explained when the bloating would most occur, how I should take care of the for the next week, and I paid and left. Overall I had a good experience and I'm glad I chose here instead of going out to Manhattan where the prices are a lot higher. read more

I love, love, love this place! I went there to get eye lash extensions, and I am in love with the results. As soon as you walk into the place the ladies in the front are so nice and very attentive to what you need. They sat me down and explained to me the different types of extensions they had and recommended a few of them that I may like. After choosing my lashes, they took me inside and from there on , the magic happened. I got 50% off for being my first time and I got 90 lashes on each eye, it took about 45 minutes and I must admit you barely even feel anything( which is a good thing since the first time I ever got them in another place it was very painful) I will definitely be back here ! read more

I went to this place for the $ 60.00 special. It was very clean, and the ladies were nice (Korean), but their English was very broken. I told them I wanted the lashes to get longer toward the ends. They said they don't do them that way because it looks fake. I said, OK, then do them your way. They looked OK, but they kept clumping together & it always looked like I needed to have them redone, right from the beginning. The lady at the front desk apparently had the same problem, because hers looked that way as well. They say you should come back in 2 weeks. If you do not come back within the 2 weeks, they force you to get another full set, which cost $ 120.00. I'm not going back ...... read more

The only reason why I am giving this place two stars is because the lady that did my eyebrows is great. However, the people that work at the front desk are very unprofessional and rude. After I got my eyebrows done I paid my bill and needed to run to the ATM to get cash to leave a tip. After I left, I was chased down by the lady at the front desk all the way to the ATM asking where the tip was, which I thought was very unnecessary seeing as it's really under the customers discretion as to whether they want to leave a tip. I really really wanted to like this place. first time ever getting eyelash extensions and nervous! the lady at the front did a great job of explaining the types of extensions etc. But then, it all went downhill. I get this girl who spoke ZERO English. I said its my first time, what should I expect, and she says "you lie down". She puts some gook in my eye without explaining anything and taped them shut. Now I am TOTALLY freaked and she still doesn't tell me a thing. left eye - done. We get to the right eye and its watering ALOT. Something stings the inside corner. She doesn't say a word. She is finally done and blows something on my eyes. I ask her what it is, and she says simply "mist" Finally done, I couldnt open my left because she glued it together. The corner of my right eye is stinging. I asked her if its normal to sting and water and she giggles. I should have run out then. Time for eyebrow wax and color. She burned my left eyebrow so now I have a scab. I never had color before, so asked her about the dye, how long, she just giggles. That night, I developed a nasty stye in my right eye and even now, a week later, that area still hurts. I don't think I will ever get extensions again, and I would totally avoid this place. for 60.00 extensions I thought I was getting a deal. you get what you pay for, a stye, pain and a burned eyebrow, all with this lady just giggling. If you are looking into microblading this is absolutely not the place to go. I am not one to complain or write terrible reviews but if this can save someone their time and money then it is worth it. Before going forward with the procedure they had showed me numerous before and after pictures. All of the pictures looked great. So I decided to give it a shot. They said they were offering 50% off to new clients. Instead of the procedure being $600 it was $300, ok great! My eyebrows looked pretty good after the procedure was finished. Within one week they completed faded, barely had any eyebrows at all. They had no shape, arch, nothing. I went back to show them and decided to present them with a picture of my eyebrows after they completed the procedure and what they look like only 1 week later. They agreed and said this has never happened before. So she said to wait another week so that they can properly heal and then they would do a touch up at no cost. I went to go for the touch up and they were so nasty and wanted me to sign some sort of paper just in case I had permanent scarring on my face! NO THANKS! I explained that I would not sign anything like that because I do not feel comfortable doing so. So they didn't fix my eyebrows and only gave me half of my money back. Please do your research and do not go here for a microblading!! Such a horrible experience read more

LOVE this place! I have been to almost every eyelash salon in the area and this one is the best, hands down! 1. My lashes have never lasted this long with any other place I've been to. I'm going on my 3rd week and it barely looks like I need a touch up. 2. They are FAST! Every time I have been, the lashes were done in less than an hour. I have been a regular customer for the past few months. Each time, I had a different technician. The ones who seemed to be good never were there for the follow up visit ( quit or what have you). I do regular touchups every 2weeks. Now a week is not even over yet and my lashes look stupid .. yes stupid!! empty patches .. I look ridiculous and it makes my eye shape look weird (I have a decent amount of natural lashes for extensions to stick on ). Each time I try to tell the technicians to glue the extension on through part of the shaft length too not just at the root for them to stay put and not rotate around, they don't get it. This is what I learned when one awesome tech did my lashes in early March, I could feel them stiff through at least a big part of the base but they never twisted and lasted through a beach vacation. Now that technician is gone! the rest are horrible! No more, time to find another eyelash place.. BTW this was my first eye lash extension place. 2 stars for my past decent experience with the good technician they couldn't keep + for the tranquility of the place and cleanliness. read more

Very bad customer service. I have been there 3 times and it's always the same. They act is you are annoying them by asking questions and are not very accommodating. Once I dropped in to ask if I can get an appointment any time that day and I was told to wait 5 minutes. After waiting I was then told there were no appointments. Very disappointing experience at Mesmereyeze in Edgewater! Prior to the brow shaping, I told her I wanted to keep my brows full and I asked her not to trim my eyebrows. I don't think she knew what she was doing because by the time I realized it she trimmed my eyebrows too short! I asked her why did she trim it when I specifically asked her not to, but she just ignored me and spoke with her coworker over my head in a foreign language so I wouldn't understand. Not only that - while I was trying to tell the girl at the desk how unhappy I was with the result and the treatment, she chose to answer the phone and completely ignored me as well! Dishonest pricing and staff. Their website states they charge $60 for full leg wax and I confirmed this price on the phone before coming in. The girl who waxed my legs actually did a good job but I was completely shocked that they wanted me to pay $90. The front desk girl said that that the $60 is for legs only and the one who worked on me claimed that she waxed my lower back - which she did not. So they dropped the price to $80 which I paid and got the hell out of there. This salon lost a loyal customer as I live very close by and go for waxing quite often but I would never deal with these people again. read more

I had eyebrow permanent makeup applied and love the results! It is almost completely painless and doesn't take long at all to complete the process. The makeup artist will ask you how you want them to look and then will draw with ink to your liking. Remember, your eyebrows should be sisters, not twins! One should be slightly higher than the other. Once they are drawn, the rest is just filling in using the electric instrument that feels sort of like an electric razor. The cost is a bit more than other places but it is worth it for the beautiful peaceful experience of this impeccably clean salon. I highly recommend Mesmereyeze! read more
