Last yeat a couple guys came out and my swamp after that just didnt seem to cool so well. it is less than 5 yrs old. This year their prices had increased at least 50% and the service guy estimated i needed parts and my swamp would cost 491.00 to start. It was hard to believe. My friend recommended a handyman. He bought a 16 dollar part and charged me 50 dollars for the service. It is cooling the best it ever has. KIdzz seems to have "up priced" me 350 dollars. Or their aervice person has some competence issues. Not sure if its because I am a woman living alone Or because people need to cool their homes and will pay a lot. Not sure... Not the service I requested; not a cost break down to do the repairs we discussed; essentially an FU quote. A waste of time and disappointing.

I'm slow on my own, so hire people to limit down time at our business. Tom knew exactly what he was talking about and talked/walked me through the desired run from the main panel. The quote was very reasonable and job completed quickly by him, his son, and an apprentice. He was very accommodating in working around times we were seeing emergency patients and offered to return for completing work that required power shutoff outside of normal hours. They cleaned up after themselves and were just perfect. It was wonderful having Tom directly doing the work. Too many times in Albuquerque, you get quotes for s job only to have a sub-contractor show up that has no idea what they are doing. I also previously mentioned I loved Tom's ability to be competent. I mention this because we recently purchased a new office space that had a prior renovation where an electrician ran solid metallic conduit 1" above a drop ceiling. This would count as stupidity. Sure you have electricity, but lost 1/4 of the access points of your ceiling tile. Tom installed 16" above ceiling tile like a competent human being Just a great business and owner.

It ended up being a huge job but the price was fair and they were friendly and efficient. Last night my AC stopped working (yes THAT 100 degree day). That fixed it for 24 hours but then it stopped again. So I put in better batteries, still nothing. Checked the breakers etc. I thought I'd checked everything. Saturday we randonly called from a Yelp listing and it turned out to be the same Daniel's. for a 290 dispatch fee they sent a guy out in 2 hours. The good part, he fixed it in 10 seconds. The bad part was that the problem was a loose fan door which I had looked at but hadn't closed as tightly as possible. When the fan had restarted the night before it must have loosened the door. Doesn't matter, the tech Daniel, but not the THE Daniel came fast and fixed the problem and didn't charge more than the dispatch fee. The technician cleaned the coil, found a failed capacitor, and installed a Turbo 200X capacitor and start assist. The charge was $831.40 on a single, non-itemized line. The same Turbo 200X capacitor sells for about $80 on Amazon. I contacted Daniels and gave them an opportunity to explain both the invoice and their pricing. I was told a manager would call me. No manager ever did. I also noticed that the one-star reviews I found repeatedly mention excessive pricing, which unfortunately is consistent with my experience. $831 for a routine maintenance visit that resulted in a new capacitor is an extraordinary charge, more than the benchmark for Albuquerque, and well above industry standards. The lack of itemization and the failure to respond when I asked for an explanation make this even more concerning. I would strongly advise homeowners to get a second opinion and an itemized estimate before authorizing any repair with Daniels. Based on my experience, I would not use this company again.
