The actual movers were good guys. Everything else was shit. The biggest issue was that I had a glass tabletop crated at origin of the move. It was a huge unnecessary hassle, but I couldn't fight every battle. When it arrived at the destination, there was no order to uncrate it...so it wasn't. Instead, it was leaned against a closet door, effectively blocking access to the closet and making unpacking in that room more difficult. It's been there ever since. I don't blame the moving guys for not uncrating it without orders. I blame the absolute dipshit (Hunter) who placed an order for crating, but not uncrating it and the inability to get anyone on the phone (Kayla) to correct the issue on the day of the move in. Additionally, it took 18 days to receive my belongings, even though the move was less than 500 miles, primarily connected by Interstate. That is a long time not to have a couch or a proper bed or the normalcy that having one's belongings provides. It should have taken 3 days, 4 days tops. This was really bad service, compounded by the fact that I had to commit to the move before receiving a delivery date, so they know that customers would balk at their lackadaisical turnaround time. Overall, I would not use this service again. ETA (8/26/23): Two guys from the local moving company showed up at my door 4 days after the move in. Uninvited. No phone call/text or other contact. Just showed up. Hung around in the stairwell for a while. Then banged on my door. That's creeper behavior. Very unprofessional. I would never trust Mesa for another move. read more

I'd like to start by saying that there are several hard working folks that we met who work for Mesa and we appreciated their help. Unfortunately, our experience was not one we could recommend to others. Upon delivery, there was over a dozen items that had been damaged. I included a few photos, but the damage included broken chair legs, a bent lamp, two dressers with broken handles, broken wooden bed frame, book shelves with damaged corners etc. Also, when re-assembling our furniture they stripped the bolts on a headboard and just left it hanging. What made all these issues more problematic was that while we had a complicated move (4 bedroom house, storage for 10 days, then delivery) the price was incredibly expensive, and the final price was 20% over the estimate. read more

Even one star is too much for this un-professional shipping company. I contracted MTS Freight to ship a piece of furniture long distance. The person I spoke with seemed a bit confused which I should have taken as an early warning, however, we finished the contract and I placed the piece in their hands. They said they would call me when it arrived at the destination main office. Three weeks went by and had not heard anything so I called -- when they finally located my shipment they said that it had been placed in storage for several weeks since I had not showed up -- I asked how I could show up if I was not contacted? I did successfully pick-up the piece without incident and the shipping company released the item with no questions. Three weeks later, I received a call from MTS freight saying they had "re-weighed" the piece and that I owed an additional $200+. I said "how could you "re-weigh" when I have had possession for the past three weeks?". I said that they had every opportunity to reweigh when it was at their location at the destination company and I would have gladly paid BEFORE I collected the parcel as opposed to being requested to pay only after I had disposed of all packing material. I thought this was extremely unprofessional of MTS freight as they should never have asked for additional $'s. It's like paying for a plane ticket, reaching your destination, and then 3 weeks later receiving a call from the airline saying "ooops, we discovered you owe another $200"! This would never happen! I paid the requested funds as I do not want to deal any longer with their unprofessionalism, however, I do have other large items I am shipping and I've already found an alternative company who has proven to be much more professional. We had 3 guys show up (on time) to move two complete offices 2 doors down the street. They were very easy to work with and did an excellent job. From beginning to end was about 1 hour 5 minutes. Great group of guys to work with. read more

We moved our business, just three doors down from our current location and Merganthaler's was fantastic in moving our refrigerator. It ended up being a huge challenge and the staff really had to work hard together to get this commercial refrigerator out. They had to brainstorm together, listen and adjust on the fly.
