This is my first experience with MCCD. My enrollment, counseling, registration was smooth. I love the open campus and am looking forward to attending classes not just in Mesa, but the other campuses in the district as well.

My niece from Indonesia went here for her ESL last year and she had the best experience. She really liked how diverse this college is and offers so many good classes. The international students desks were super helpful and very enthusiastic in helping new students and make them feel welcomed. Loved the rose garden, it's so wonderful and very well maintained. Unfortunately with the pandemic, the entire campus is closed. But the brighter side is that the Rose Garden is open for public and there are plenty of parking spots for visitors. Thank you Mesa Community College for the icing in the cake during this pandemic.

At the tennis courts - something to be proud of.

As a graduate of Mesa Community College, former competitor two years on the varsity tennis team, and later head coach of men's tennis for four years, I am generally pleased with my experiences. Academics are a step-up from high school, yet not as rigorous as ASU, where I graduated from the W. Cronkite Journalism School. All said, I recommend this experience for students interested in continuing education. The MCC website is excellent. Everything you need to know at your fingertips. Athletes: be prepared for a World-class experience. This venue and facilities are happening. While it is the largest community college in AZ, it still has a small town college feel and relatively smaller class sizes than ASU.

I can speak to this institution from an administration side so that is what I will do. Great institution for those who want to get an education without breaking the bank. Also, during times of Covid its been transformed into a drive-up testing center.

Use rate my professor and you'll have a golden time! Tip: for math use Mr. Payne if he's still there. Perfect math teacher!

Horrible college! If you can go somewhere else they are so unorganized and try to find ways to make you attend their school.

I wish there was a way to expand on different ratings. Not everything is created equal, and while I…read moreadmire and appreciate the instructors, there are other factors that prevent me from giving it 5 stars. First: The instructors, which I can only speak to Mr. E. (Ernie Kornya) and briefly Mr. James at this moment, since I'm barely in Module 2. They are very knowledgeable in their craft. Mr. E. brings a wealth of information and support. He is patient and truly cares about the success and comprehension his students attain. He makes learning the difficult stuff, fun and rewarding. Ms. Dalis is such a joy to see every day. She is compassionate and tough. She cares about what she does - that much I can tell. She will fight for you as long as you are fighting for yourself. Who wouldn't want that kind of backing in your corner? Everyone I have encountered so far (staff-wise) plays a critical role in our journey, and I have zero complaints on that. 5 STARS. Second: The resources are minimal, at best. There aren't enough materials, tools, workstations to go around, and it creates a huge learning gap for those who have to be bystanders in lab. There's only so much you can do when you're grouped with 5 other students during an exercise and we're all sharing one set of tools. How can we successfully complete a circuit if there's only one person performing the surgery, while we onlookers nod our heads in synchronicity? It's a waste of time to me. Speaking of time, I have never had to follow such a strict attendance schedule at any point in my post-secondary institutions. Historically speaking, we adults are usually at the mercy of our own lecture/attendance, note-taking, content comprehension, etc. At UEI, you are not graded solely on the understanding of the content, homework, quizzes, etc. No. You are graded (heavily) on whether or not you show up at your expected time, and stay the entire duration - NO MATTER WHAT. That part is crazy to me. I don't think I'll ever understand it. Having to leave EXACTLY at 13:00 (not at 12:59) is ludicrous. We are not children. We are well past middle school. If class runs successfully until 12:50, then let's leave at 12:50. Simple. 2 STARS. Longest review I've ever made, but it's important to note these things. There's not enough time to mention everything, but I wish I knew half of my grievances up front. I probably would've went in a different direction. Regardless, while I'm here, Mr. E., thank you for showing up for us every day. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and trade secrets. Thank you for behaving like a normal human being, rather than someone who is better than us. THANK YOU, MR. E.!!!

I'm currently in solar electric applications module, we are installing solar panels, inverter,…read morecharge controller and battery cells, but since there are 23 students in the class, and we're working as one large group which is stupid, I haven't touched anything, really lousy plan for the labs. I don't feel like I've learned that much while going to school here

Do not go here. I went for the nursing program. All they care about is money and drama. I am a…read moreveteran that was using my GI bill and FASFA. EVERYTHING WAS PAID FOR. Unfortunately I am also a disabled veteran that struggles with my mental health and had to leave to work on myself in my fourth semester. THEY ENDED UP CHARGING ME A $4000 bill (which again everything was paid for) with no explanation on what it was actually for. I ended up having to pay the VA because I dropped out my 4th semester which is understandable but PMI had no reason besides they're money hungry. DO NOT GO HERE. P.S there are good instructors that actually do care but the bad definitely out way the good.

When I attended Pima Medical Institute, the nursing program felt disorganized and poorly managed…read more In the first half of my course, I had Dr. Bradley, who was serious, professional, and consistent in her expectations. Her approach stood out and made learning structured and clear. In the second half, program leadership under Ms. Robertson was honesty terrible, I don't think she should be a director of any program. I only met her once, and there was little sense that she was aware of or engaged with student concerns. This lack of visibility and oversight contributed to inconsistent accountability, unresolved issues. Throughout the program, it seemed that students who raised genuine concerns or told the truth were often criticized or penalized, while those who were the loudest with their friends in their complaints seemed to get their way. Leadership and campus directors appeared more focused on protecting the institution's image than supporting students or ensuring fairness. Complaints and disputes were not always handled, kind of just "sweep it under the rug". There were, however, instructors who were really committed to student learning. Dr. Kirby, Dr. De Leon, and Mrs. Gearon were among the more effective instructors in the nursing program. and the clinical instructors--Mrs. Washington, Mr. Cluff, and Mrs. Schaefer--were supportive and invested in student education. I ultimately completed my RN, but considering the cost and the challenges, I would have preferred attending a university or community college. The program is not nationally recognized, which makes transferring credits or continuing education very difficult, something that is not clearly communicated to prospective students. Based on my experience, I do not recommend this college. Prospective students should carefully evaluate leadership involvement, how complaints are handled, whether fairness and student support exist, and the recognition of the program before enrolling.
