I wish there was a way to expand on different ratings. Not everything is created equal, and while I…read moreadmire and appreciate the instructors, there are other factors that prevent me from giving it 5 stars. First: The instructors, which I can only speak to Mr. E. (Ernie Kornya) and briefly Mr. James at this moment, since I'm barely in Module 2. They are very knowledgeable in their craft. Mr. E. brings a wealth of information and support. He is patient and truly cares about the success and comprehension his students attain. He makes learning the difficult stuff, fun and rewarding. Ms. Dalis is such a joy to see every day. She is compassionate and tough. She cares about what she does - that much I can tell. She will fight for you as long as you are fighting for yourself. Who wouldn't want that kind of backing in your corner? Everyone I have encountered so far (staff-wise) plays a critical role in our journey, and I have zero complaints on that. 5 STARS. Second: The resources are minimal, at best. There aren't enough materials, tools, workstations to go around, and it creates a huge learning gap for those who have to be bystanders in lab. There's only so much you can do when you're grouped with 5 other students during an exercise and we're all sharing one set of tools. How can we successfully complete a circuit if there's only one person performing the surgery, while we onlookers nod our heads in synchronicity? It's a waste of time to me. Speaking of time, I have never had to follow such a strict attendance schedule at any point in my post-secondary institutions. Historically speaking, we adults are usually at the mercy of our own lecture/attendance, note-taking, content comprehension, etc. At UEI, you are not graded solely on the understanding of the content, homework, quizzes, etc. No. You are graded (heavily) on whether or not you show up at your expected time, and stay the entire duration - NO MATTER WHAT. That part is crazy to me. I don't think I'll ever understand it. Having to leave EXACTLY at 13:00 (not at 12:59) is ludicrous. We are not children. We are well past middle school. If class runs successfully until 12:50, then let's leave at 12:50. Simple. 2 STARS. Longest review I've ever made, but it's important to note these things. There's not enough time to mention everything, but I wish I knew half of my grievances up front. I probably would've went in a different direction. Regardless, while I'm here, Mr. E., thank you for showing up for us every day. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and trade secrets. Thank you for behaving like a normal human being, rather than someone who is better than us. THANK YOU, MR. E.!!!

I'm currently in solar electric applications module, we are installing solar panels, inverter,…read morecharge controller and battery cells, but since there are 23 students in the class, and we're working as one large group which is stupid, I haven't touched anything, really lousy plan for the labs. I don't feel like I've learned that much while going to school here

Look. This place has its flaws. But no one here is going to hold your hand. The medical field is a…read moreruthless, cut and dry field, that has high expectations, and the program condensed a two year program into 7 months. The work comes rapidly and the pace is brutal at first, but that is simply not their problem. It is a program the weeds out the weak and only the dedicated survive. It's up to YOU to find the answers. YOU make your own study guide. It is 10% instruction and 90% YOU. Show up every day. Ask questions. If you don't get an answer you want, ask someone else. Ask every single person in the whole school before you give up and believe that the school is the problem. Use every available resource. And if nothing else, use google. This is not like college even though it has it in the name. You get a syllabus, 1 hour of lecture per class, and then you are on your own. This program is for people that simply do NOT have time to go back to school. Do not have time to mess around. And are here to WORK THEIR ASS OFF! If you lack the self discipline, you will fail. If you lack the motivation, you will fail. Every teacher here has the knowledge but they are not educators. They are individuals who have worked in the medical field for 20+ years and believe that they can impart their knowledge on you. That's why I only give 4 stars. They are not the best teachers. But they have a ridiculous knowledge of their field and it shows. Many of them aren't used to computers. That's where you buckle down and do it yourself. It's an accelerated program. From Day 1 it is ALL located in the online program and it's not on them to give a "review" to study with. You read the chapters, do the homework, review the homework, write extensive notes and study your notes. Sounds like a lot? It is. But it is doable. The price seems steep, but medical school will set you back hundreds of thousands of dollars that you may never pay back. This is about 1/10 of the price. The students are all in it together and all help each other build a sense of comradery and look after each other. You might not apply everything you learn here in your career. You will learn even more from the externship. The teachers are strict, rigorous, and professional. It may or may not be that way in your career in the field, but right now you are here to learn and figure it out using critical thinking skills.

Worst place ever to work. They do not respect you as an employee even when you bring valid issues…read moreup to the director. They belittle you and make you feel insignificant and they have no idea what they're doing compliance wise.
