I wish there was a way to expand on different ratings. Not everything is created equal, and while I admire and appreciate the instructors, there are other factors that prevent me from giving it 5 stars. First: The instructors, which I can only speak to Mr. E. (Ernie Kornya) and briefly Mr. James at this moment, since I'm barely in Module 2. They are very knowledgeable in their craft. Mr. E. brings a wealth of information and support. He is patient and truly cares about the success and comprehension his students attain. He makes learning the difficult stuff, fun and rewarding. Ms. Dalis is such a joy to see every day. She is compassionate and tough. She cares about what she does - that much I can tell. She will fight for you as long as you are fighting for yourself. Who wouldn't want that kind of backing in your corner? Everyone I have encountered so far (staff-wise) plays a critical role in our journey, and I have zero complaints on that. 5 STARS. Second: The resources are minimal, at best. There aren't enough materials, tools, workstations to go around, and it creates a huge learning gap for those who have to be bystanders in lab. There's only so much you can do when you're grouped with 5 other students during an exercise and we're all sharing one set of tools. How can we successfully complete a circuit if there's only one person performing the surgery, while we onlookers nod our heads in synchronicity? It's a waste of time to me. Speaking of time, I have never had to follow such a strict attendance schedule at any point in my post-secondary institutions. Historically speaking, we adults are usually at the mercy of our own lecture/attendance, note-taking, content comprehension, etc. At UEI, you are not graded solely on the understanding of the content, homework, quizzes, etc. No. You are graded (heavily) on whether or not you show up at your expected time, and stay the entire duration - NO MATTER WHAT. That part is crazy to me. I don't think I'll ever understand it. Having to leave EXACTLY at 13:00 (not at 12:59) is ludicrous. We are not children. We are well past middle school. If class runs successfully until 12:50, then let's leave at 12:50. Simple. 2 STARS. Longest review I've ever made, but it's important to note these things. There's not enough time to mention everything, but I wish I knew half of my grievances up front. I probably would've went in a different direction. Regardless, while I'm here, Mr. E., thank you for showing up for us every day. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and trade secrets. I'm currently in solar electric applications module, we are installing solar panels, inverter, charge controller and battery cells, but since there are 23 students in the class, and we're working as one large group which is stupid, I haven't touched anything, really lousy plan for the labs. My son graduated Aug 2025 from electrician school. We paid in full for his tuition. He still has NOT received the tools he paid for. He has NOT been able to talk to anyone directly. He was told UEI would send them to his new address out of state, back in August 2025. Today 2/5/26 he was told they will not ship and that they need to be special ordered and can pick up March 2026. I do not recommend this school, not only for this reason, but because their accredited program, IS NOT accepted outside of AZ, which has kept him from getting a job. read more

After 1st module completed, seems it only gets worse. Forget asking a question, the instructor will evade or ask other students to help. My best response is instructor telling us we should all know this. Only problem with this, we haven't gone over the part of the program yet. Continues to tell us we are the best class of students he's had. So any other student he has had is not very good. Update on getting a Chromebook over this cheap tablet, it's now 3 different instructors telling me I should of received a Chromebook as It was said before I signed up to attend the school, also in orientation and again when I asked last week. Keep your options open for an Auto program. Went through 5 instructors and each declined in professionalism/organization. The front office is being poorly run ever since Dallas has left as in, Dallas was the only one who would care/listen/take action. The learning is inconsistent and everywhere. It's clear instructors do not review the material before presenting. It's very go with the flow. They'll grade you for labs you've never completed effecting overall accuracy of report cards. Since the cars in class do not work, we work on our own. But it's off a favoritism basis, if you're not "buddies" with the instructor then you're always last on the list. Instructors would bring in their friends/family's vehicles to work on during our lab days instead of teaching. Also I saw graduated students come by to utilize class space/tools for their own personal work. Class is a big hangout and instructors aren't invested in the curriculum that should be taught. If this Auto program is the most convenient for you, I'd recommend taking Brandon or Eric's class. Each time they've subbed our class we actually worked and learned. They're both professional and really great educators. read more

it's a pretty good school. in the hvac program we could definitely use more efficient tools and equipment , sometimes i feel we're struggling to get the best practice we have with the products we use. the instructor is very knowledgeable and always feeds us with useful information and information we couldn't have gotten from any other means read more

I did not get to complete the program due to a family emergency, Though the teacher was excellent, and I miss her dearly. The office staff lacks compassion and understanding. My father was dying, and they were so worried about paperwork and protocol that I had to decide to put my dad first, come what may. They are also so concerned about the unpaid balance that they can not help send out threatening emails as I finalize my dad's death, not to mention the nasty emails when I first missed classes to care for my dying dad. It is a shame because the teacher is amazing, and when I get my life and finances back in order, I will not be going back to this school. read more

Don't come here, half their instructors are incompetent and don't teach anything, They try to wrap you in the first 3 months because that's when they get the most drop outs. You're not gonna learn anything in class and if you've ever toured everyone is just sitting around. They changed their rule for zooms to require attendance after enrollment and don't let you retake for attendance. They don't even have any tools or any of the resources they claim to have which is honestly ridiculous because how are you an electrical school with no tools? They only have one drill and you are going to have to share for the 1 hour that you do actually wire that day. Just go to a union or get a job and ask them to train you honestly. The staff is pretty nice I will say except for Miss P, she claims to want to help but doesn't do anything, has a stuck up & negative attitude that really brings nothing to the table. She'll get mad at you for not following rules because the school is trying to "provide us with success" but can't even provide us with tools or an instructor that lasts more than 2 days. Very unorganized and a cash grab. Just go elsewhere read more

Just recently started at UEI College in Mesa in the Medical Billing and Insurance Program. I have had nothing but a great experience. The teachers and staff are amazing and super helpful whenever you need anything. Mrs. Smith is the instructor and she is very outgoing and extremely cares about her students. She won't let you fail, nobody at this college campus will. read more

When I visited this campus, I wasn't sure what to expect, but I actually wanted to highlight my experience. I was greeted by the front desk and relayed that I wanted to capture the MA class. I was able to visit Ms. Medina's MA class on a lab day while they were working on blood draws. It was pretty cool to speak with the students who's been through the process first-hand and many of them were close to their externship date. I think in general from what the students said, it's a combination of the work you put in and using all the resources the campus provides. read more

They only care about your money. I was promised so many things which included a job after completing my externship and still it's been really hard getting a job. When I was enrolling I was told that I would be paying NO more than $70 a month and now I'm paying almost $200 and now stuck with it because they "can't" tell u the exact amount until you're enrolled. I was told that it was impossible to lower my monthly rate but the Phoenix location says otherwise. For paying about 20k they don't even give u a physical text book everything is online AND u can't even access it after completing the program yet they charge you for the book. That cheap tablet they try to bribe you with SUCKS. They call you non stop when you're interested in enrolling but once enrolled it's so hard to reach anyone. Enrolling felt super rushed and pressuring. Enrolling felt like they are literally reaching in your pockets and they really try to act like they care about your education. You can definitely find a school that is so much cheaper. You will meet some of the nicest people here but also the rudest. 0 stars if I could. This whole experience made me not even want to pursue the career I went there for. read more

They are just... wow. Beware they will try to get you to sign an agreement to get an "estimate" of how much college here will cost, but in reality it is an enrollment agreement. You have a short time to cancel so do so. I would also suggest you record canceling in case they don't honor their agreement. Arizona is a one party consent state so you are well within your right to do so. Just avoid this place like the plague. Their practices are predatory and target the younger generation, half the people are nice and good the other half are about as scummy as you can get. If they get you on a computer to sign "waiver" or anything like that do not participate. These people appear to be your friend but in reality underneath feels like a mlm. Oh let's get this guy to talk to you and this person to help you and an "exit interview" where they try and guilt trip you into signing up for the college for your parents or you'll be "procrastinating" your future and not a good idea. read more
