Arkansas Black, Northern Spy and so many more kinds of apples that you will never ever see in stores. The visit alone is amazing! Beautiful mountain setting, nice people to help, and they give a little tour to let you know which varieties are available. CUTE LITTLE STORE with preserves, honey, baked goods and more. Do NOT leave without cider! Made from those rare apple varieties, it's like nothing you've ever tasted

The GPS kept re-routing me to volcan, but if you continue straight rather than taking a left onto farmer road, continue straight ahead past volcan and you will see farmer road continued and take a right there. The entrance of the location is the 3rd driveway off of farmer road. My friend had organized an event here for a group of ~20 people and they accommodated our group and were so friendly! I like how each group gets their own booking time and you get a private experience. We got to try the apple cider that they make, a several variety of apples, honey and take home some bags of tea. The owners gave a great educational overview of the types of apples, the farm, and how they take care of the trees here. They also had some other fruits including plums and persimmons that were absolutely delicious. They had a unique variety of apples called russet apples which look like russet potatoes but they taste so sweet and I think this was my favorite apple to try! The gift shop here is adorable and their Jams specifically the apricot jasmine and strawberry rose taste SOOO GOOD and are a must to get! There is also a bathroom here which is really clean. Overall they are an amazing place to go to, well priced, and very friendly! Def would be back

Ever since I was a little girl l've been going to Julian. You haven't had a true Julian experience…read moreuntil you've come to Julian Cider Mill. I've tried everything here over the years! And, let me tell you, everything is amazing! The place itself is historical and filled with character! I love how it feels as if you walked into a different era once you walk in those doors. This little place, is filled with Apple cider, Apple everything, candy, local goods, spices, soup mixes, jellies, jams, sodas, and so much more! My favorite, is cold pressed apple cider served ice cold or hot! can't walk in here without taking some of it home with me. I've tried cherry, boysenberry, and many other flavors over the years. My favorite is the classic cold pressed apple cider! It's tangy and zesty. While being rich, and full in body. With strong notes of warm baking spices! It's Fall in a cup. You can also get hot apple cider during the Fall and Winter. Which, I highly recommend! If they have it, get a few cups! You won't regret it. Everyone, is always super sweet and very knowledgeable! So, make sure to take a few minutes to ask some questions about Julian. Also, if you go to the very back they have a press where they press the apples for the cider right in front of you. So, don't miss that! If you're looking for an experience that you'll never forget. You have to go to Julian Cider Mill! You will be sure to fall in love with this charming place just like I have.

AMBIANCE Parking: Street parking in downtown Julian. It can get pretty busy based on the time and season. Vibes: Welcome to Julian! A small town feel as you can experience almost everything within a block. However there are also some cool bars/farms to explore around to. The Cider Mill itself is in the heart of downtown Julian. Shelves filled with jams, preserves, candies, local honey, nuts, dried fruits, and all kinds of nostalgic treats. FOOD / DRINKS Apple Boysenberry Cider (Recommend) I'm a fan of apple but a fan of all seasonal flavors. I enjoyed the sweetness and light tart of the berry flavor - a nice depth of tanginess that just felt lively. CUSTOMER SERVICE Friendly and welcoming. Ondean served me a sample of the drinks and they were great! TL;DR OVERALL 4.5 Stars. Good selections, good products, and a pleasant experience. I love the small town feel as they're attentive with the details and interaction. Julian Cider Mill isn't anything flashy just your good old reliable snack shop when you need it. TIPS * Great place to stop and go for snacks, cooking flavors, or samples like their ciders!

After a lot of research I picked Integrity Stables and I'm so glad I did! Horses are well loved and cared for, the ride was very private (just us and our guide), the scenes were beautiful, and our trail guide (I'm blanking on his name he was young--maybe it was Luke?) was super knowledgeable and easy to talk to. Would recommend to anyone (experienced horse person or not) and definitely plan on going back next time I'm in San Diego! While it is a little drive from San Diego (45 min - 1hr), the little town of Julian was the perfect place for us to stop afterwards for lunch before we made the drive back!

One of them had never been on a horse before and Luke was so kind and willing to make her feel the most comfortable when riding! He explained to her how to safely ride and have a comfortable ride, at that. Not only was it fun learning about the Julian mines along the tour, the horses were very happy! I avoid doing these kind of things because typically the horses are ridden so often that they just become robots and you can tell they're unhappy. That was NOT the case with these ones. They get well-rested and have a lovely space in the shade to relax when they're not on trail. Each of our horses were also very well trained and rideable for even the most inexperienced person. All very sweet temperaments and happy to get their apple slices at the end. Overall, the ride was wonderful, our guide was so respectful and informative and we had a wonderful day riding through the countryside of Julian!

A complaint has been filed with the US Department of Justice as Nan has openly discriminated…read moreagainst my husband for having to have a hearing service dog and used wildlife specifically deer around the cabin as an excuse to charge us a lot more to stay in the larger "pet friendly" artist loft instead of the smaller 2 person cozy cabin at Strawberry Hill we requested. It's against the ADA requirements- Q. Can hotels assign designated rooms for guests with service animals? A. No. A guest with a disability who uses a service animal must be provided the same opportunity to reserve any available room as other guests without disabilities. They may not be restricted to "pet-friendly" rooms. As for her flimsy excuse about the wildlife even though I assured her we follow the service dog rules of bathing her before trips and keeping her on a close leash. She never has barked EVER. We have never heard her voice! She was trained to not chase or even look at other animals she turns away. She is a well trained service dog from two well know legitimate organizations and is licensed. Even though by law we don't have to show her I offered to show Nan the CA service dog license and her training paperwork and card my husband carries showing who trained her and that she is allowed in ambulances and hospitals too. I explained all the tasks that she does to help my husband with his hearing loss and explained why we wouldn't allow her to ever be close to wildlife for her safety too. All in all Nan went on and on about how she had to close off the cabins before and after the dates because of covid and aerosols and the cost of insurance, the cost of doing business so it appears as if she used the excuse of wildlife and bad past experiences with people lying about pets being service animals to make us pay more by booking the larger pet friendly cabin. I kept saying my husband's service dog is not a pet and she wouldn't listen. 27 minutes on the phone I listened to her discriminate against my husband before asking one more time if since she was insisting we stay in the large pet cabin with the 3 beds we don't need could she at least just charge us the cost of the strawberry cabin since we aren't supposed to be penalized with increased charges because of my husband's disability and she said No. So I finally said well I'm going to report you and hung up. I did double check just in case there was a change in the last few weeks but there wasn't. I called the CA state park in Julian and spoke with the ranger which is the same wildlife, same forest as Nans property and they assured me that service dogs are still allowed in cabins there AND even on trails. He assured me that my husband's service dog would not interfere with the deer under her cabin at all!!! That the people staying in the cabins and even her 6 cats roaming the property could interfere more. Her excuse was a flimsy way to try to extort more money out of us. Maybe someone who was trying to pass a pet off as a service dog would have been fine with this since she does have no pets on her listings BUT a legitimate well trained service dog is NOT a pet and we know the law and we are proud of the amazing job the dog does that is potentially life saving. It's sad we are missing out what appears to be a cute cabin but I'm glad we aren't monetarily supporting disabled discrimination.

Unlike any place we've stayed in Julian, where we've been coming for New Years for the past decade. Highly recommend!
