What a great shop Laz puts you in the right direction depending the application you want to do. I recommend him 100% on his work!

I have known Laz for many years and he has assembled many engines for me as well as assembled heads and did crank work. I have found that his work is great and his prices are reasonable, and he completes the work timely. I ended up paying more than double of the agreed upon price to Laz for an incomplete engine. (Which I originally accepted and decided NOT to post anything) BUT as I started to inspect his work my decision changed.... If you're going to overcharge me by more than double at least finish the job. Upper pulley was left in-box disassembled? The motor was 4 months late, how could that be overlooked with that much time? No confirmation on what supercharger isolator was used? The wrong flex plate was ordered and installed? Upper hub was never drilled... $3600 bill on a $1600 job and I have to take the motor back apart now, remove the snout and blower, and put the upper hub on a drill press (that I have to rent) to install the Lingenfelter pulley and dowel pin. I'm pretty sure I paid Laz to do all of this so my weekend isn't ruined. I'm pretty sure I paid Laz to do all of the work to dissolve the margin of error... It's really unfortunate, I was recommended to him by one of his long time friends of 20+ years... It's safe to say we both were disappointed, I was not treated like a friend or a valued customer whatsoever despite trusting him with a ton of money. ____________________________________________________________________________________ IN RESPONSE: 10/20/16 Laz... You ordered ALL of the parts through Dale af ProPower Parts and I paid him... (I have those invoices) he directly sent you parts that YOU requested. Upon delivery, the Lingenfelter Pulley kit was left in the box uninstalled and untouched, a disassembled throttle body, a loose oil pan, and almost a damn year to deliver an incomplete engine that I now have to have another shop pull the mess you handed me back to guarantee that I got what I paid for... do you think that I trust you after this experience? Do you honestly think that I have 100% certainty my motor consists of every part that I purchased through Dale? I sure hope so... because the motor is being rebuilt and they're checking EVERYTHING. For the money I spent the entire job should've been complete. 20% discount? I would have paid 20% more for you to have done 100% of the job the first time without dodging my phonecalls and bullshitting me for half-year. Had an engine built by Mesa at a cost of over $8000. No build sheet was provided whatsoever. After 15 hours of low RPM break-in the top end blew apart when finally giving it some gas. I figured they would at least cover the labor and I could provide parts. Nope, didn't stand by their product and made every excuse why it was anyone's fault but their own., and gave me a quote of 5-8K to fix it with a 60 day warranty. I spoke with Comp Cams and had the engine inspected by a reputable builder. The issue was identified as failure from the improper length of push rods which caused binding. If you need a performance marine engine for a similar cost go to someone like WhitePerformance.com who actually warranty their products. If you have the money go to Teague Custom Marine or Sterling. read more

I brought him a blown 4.6 motor, Had some parts together. And my initial builder bailed.. MOTOR WAS RUSTING.. and I had no knowledge of overhauling. Immediately Lazaro reassured me his work and a great friendship started, even thoe my original intentions where basic.. I did end up with one hell of an angry 4.6 after-worth. Lazaro uses quality parts, know and tested not excessively promoted with bullshit propaganda. Uses only quality parts.. he allows you to order your own but he always gives you his years of experience suggestion... BULLSHIT TO THE DODGING CALLS! If i could give zero stars i would. Brought them a small block chevy and had them go threw it. Bore. 30 over hone and check every thing. They never called me. The block was rusted. They ruined the cam. Had to buy anew one. Ruined my crank. Had to buy a new one. Took it some where else and found the bore was off by .01000 of an inch and the pistons would not fit even with the rings off. Long story short will never be a repeat customer and will not recomend this place to any one read more
