Terry's Plumbing

Terry's Plumbing

(79 reviews)

Terry's Plumbing has been in business for over 40 years, and its plumbers perform the following…read moreservices: general plumbing, bathroom remodeling, sewer replacement and repair, and pipe excavation. I had a leaking pipe in my garage ceiling, and my usual plumber was not available, so I called Terry's Plumbing. A courteous woman answered the phone and set up an appointment for 10 AM to 2 PM later in the day. That time came and went, and no plumber had arrived, so I called again, and the woman told me that the plumber was on his way. The plumber arrived and spoke courteously with me, and he even interacted nicely with my dog. He cut a hole in the drywall in my garage ceiling. He initially said that he could not find the pinhole leak in my copper pipe because it might have sealed itself with calcium, but then he said that he found it, and he replaced about two feet of the pipe. The cost was $90 plus whatever it cost to fix the leak, for a total of $240. He wrote my credit card number, expiration date, and authorization code on a paper invoice to bill later. Unfortunately, water continued to drip from the ceiling. The plumber had told me that the ceiling would be wet and take days to dry, so I waited until later in the week to call about the continued dripping. The receptionist said that if the leak was related to the call earlier in the week, then they would not charge me a service fee. There would be a service fee only if the problem was new. The same plumber returned, and he cut away more drywall and replaced a section of pipe that was near the previously replaced pipe. He did NOT charge me again. I deducted one star from my review because the leak was not fixed during the first visit and because the plumber got wet drywall all over my ladder and garage floor. However, I would consider hiring them again, and I even discussed PEX with them. Tip: Check their website for coupons.

My name is Teri and I a recent new resident of Canonsburg Maple Ridge Townhomes. Terry's Plumbing…read morewas hired by Acri Reality to scope and inspect my drains after this past winters storms as my townhome sustained serious significant damages from ice damming. The townhome lost ceiling and walls in 3 rooms and required an emergent new roof. Ice damming is a result of poor and inadequate drainage. Gravel river rock and debris found in all 4 underground drains. One was able to be cleared but the other 3 are still packed full. Terry's is on record stating that the river rock gravel and debris is not part of the townhomes significant water problems that continue to be a problem. Acri reality is on board with Terrys findings denying me the home owner any resolution to this problem. This past weekend after only small amounts of rain I woke up to a garage full of water. Please see pics below. It is my thought that the river rock gravel and debris is the very problem. I feel that rainwater should be able to flow through my downspouts, lines and leave the property. Is Terrys plumbing being honest or dishonest about these findings? Why should I accept that water backing up in the garage and home is not a problem? Are Terrys and Acri part of a corupt business practice denying homeowners resolution? Can someone from Terry's please explain what is going on here and do you still stand behind "no problem here"?

I can tell you if an item of clothing is overpriced or not, but plumbing is not my forte. While I…read moredon't want to be ripped off, it's also so hard to find someone who will show up on time, do the work right and not cheat you. We had the house we were selling inspected and unfortunately found out that the sewer line was damaged right after it left the house. We had work done on our pipes just last March to replace them all underneath the house because they had crumbled, so we were still hurting from that big price after going with a big name plumber. We needed a couple days turnaround and had to act fast. The guy who worked on our line was prompt and responsive. He was easy to communicate with, via text, and even came back a day later when we found out we needed a dye test done ASAP. These were not cheap jobs, AT ALL, but we honestly didn't have much time to shop around and felt comfortable going with them. Again, I appreciate they fast turnaround and that they showed up and did the work when they said they would. Basically, when we needed them, they were there. Glad to have this behind us and wouldn't hesitate to call them again.

First the charge $69 just top come to the house, and it is not included in the price if they do the job. It is on top of the job price. Since we were desperate (we have a holiday party this week) we had to have the job done. Took less than an hour. $638. This seems very expensive for less than an hour's work. Should have taken the quote and gone elsewhere but did not have the time to look for another plumber.
