It is a home away from home and I know that each day that I leave my child in their hands, that she is more than well taken care of. They are extremely communicative and share classroom updates, school news and photos of my child each and every day. There is a lot of modern technology, they even have robots. The staff is absolutely amazing! Everyone makes you feel at home. There is one class per grade which adds to the home like feeling since the school is small and more intimate. 1:8 ratio, each class has a total of 16 students and a teacher and educational assistant. So each child gets the attention they need. They also provide individual educational plans. The students learn BOTH Mandarin and Spanish. And they also offer global studies. It's project based learning so not a lot of homework and busy worksheet type work. I'm blown away with everything CIS has to offer my child! This school is everything I thought it would be! My child is thriving so much! And it feels like a real family here. I love how small and intimate it is. And I'm really looking forward to my child growing up with her classmates over the years. A friends son who goes there told me just to call and visit that the staff is very accommodating and addressed all my concerns. They also let him visit a couple times before enrollment (Mrs. King is assigned teacher is amazing) and all the parents seem so friendly and good, wholesome families. I also wasn't sure if my son was going to take to it. He loved it from day one! The teachers all have smiling faces. I love that they work more on academics than some of the other schools seemed like their were more into creativity or independence. Even though they do all that too. Only after a week, I see such a difference in my 3 year old. He actually tells me each day what he learns. The staff is kind if they have accident and I feel safe having my son in their care and he is progressing as a student as well. I wish I knew the cute songs he is singing about school.

GBSH is a warm and caring environment where our children are flourishing. Not only do our children love Ms. Williams, we do too! They are challenged academically without losing the fun that preschool should provide. Also, the indoor playground is a great idea as our kids' recess at their prior school was frequently cancelled in the summer due to excessive heat and in the winter due to rain and cold. We love that our kids get to burn off energy EVERY day regardless of the weather. We toured numerous preschools and day care facilities before choosing GBSH for the quality of its teachers and the instant rapport that our kids had with Ms. Williams on our first visit.

Also, the school makes you pledge to the bible, the Christian flag, and the American flag, which felt like it bordered on Christian nationalism since you do them all in order, but do with that as you will. The visual arts are kinda lackluster, and sports are very favored at that school. To be fair, a lot can change in nearly 3 years; this is just my experience. I have been here four seperate times in two weeks. All of the rooms require a deep cleaning of the furniture, the walls and the doors. The toys also needed to be cleaned. Dirt and filth covered the shelving units, with blotches of paint and stuck on food particles. The walls in some rooms need to be fixed because of large gouges. The mess on top of the cabinets are disgraceful. There is food up there with just garbage thrown up there. With some rooms it smells like the smell of poverty. Stink! There are rooms that have a wall clock. Then there are rooms that have a wall clock, but it's nonfunctional, meaning that no one has the mental acuity to place a new battery in it. So when I discovered this error I was late checking out of Goddard. I was told that I needed to clock out, but to ask Ms. Angie (director of operations and proficient gossiper). Ms. Angie admitted to me three times that it was an error on their part, but she still blamed me. This is a woman who refused me from having a small shoulder bag with my inhaler in it and my cough drops. I told her that I had asthma and I also suffered from seasonal allergies. She said that I could call her if I needed it. I am not carrying a cell phone with me into the classrooms. I do not know how to use the multi-line phone. So she is going to take away my ability to take care of myself. She did allow me to have my water bottle with me. But you know what I need my cough drops and I took those in my pocket. This is a far cry from my not following direction. This is a far cry from covering my ears because a child's scream pierced my eardrums. Ms. Angie has accused me of "sneaking up on her" when her back is towards the opening of the office door. Ms. Tracey has told Ms. Angie to tell me "where to go." Ms. Tracey thought that was a funny innuendo. Ms. Angie told her that that wasn't nice. That wasn't nice. The women who have worked in the office for a long time camouflage themselves behind the arrogance and unprofessional conduct of what junior high school girls would act like. There are some really good teachers who manage the classrooms. I have had the privilege of working with them. But Ms. Angie with her misaligned emotional immaturity rescinded me from returning. What that means to me is that she holds temps at a higher standard than she does her own staff.

These teachers were genuinely the most welcoming and loving teachers I've ever had, they made my seventh grade year better than everybody said it would be. I was told it would be the worst year of my life, but the teachers, the students, the inclusivity and diversity and welcoming every where made me feel so happy. I took advantage of the school and judged every part that I didn't like about it, and though it wasn't perfect, it was home. In my new school, there are no welcome signs anywhere, there's no personal connections with the teachers to the students, there's no happiness and it feels like just a business environment. I miss coming to Spring View every day and feeling welcomed. This isn't the perfect ideal school, but it is such an amazing environment, I so recommend it. Thank you Spring View for helping me.

I explained I already had one scheduled and received a confirmation email. The director said "okay see you then" and hung up. I ended up needing to cancel the tour and replied via email that I needed to cancel (as the email instructed) and stated I would contact the school when I needed to reschedule. I've received phone calls almost everyday for the last 2 weeks asking to reschedule and every time I've answered I've explained and made it explicitly clear that I would call to reschedule and they did not need to call me so frequently. I've started letting their phone calls go to voicemail.
