We lucked out on the way home because we left before the last artist. But I heard that others were stuck for hours trying to get home. Well I guess the beach bus took the feedback seriously because on Saturday and Sunday, everything was smooth sailing. We got in a bus to the boardwalk immediately and even got to sit. And on the way home we had no issues. Even with the less than ideal situation on Friday, they more than made up for it Saturday and Sunday. And our bus drivers were all so friendly! No seriously she was rude yelling "Last Name" "get on board". No eye contact. Prior to this I was considering using Amtrak to visit my son as it seemed so convenient. But nope, not after seeing how rude she was. Yea folks it takes just one person. As Apprehensive as I was her attitude sealed my decision. Second the train station was dirty, smelly (urine) it literally backed to a restaurant and while it looks like the city is working on the structural issues they need daily attention to the cleanliness of the facilities. I was surprised as to how many passengers came off the train at our stop. Trash was littered all over. Only one bench on the south bound side of the tracks. This is a historic town where locals pride themselves on their homes and historic buildings and this left me very upset as to how neglected the train station was. I do t know who has the responsibility to clean it. But someone needs to step up.

We enjoyed another very calm, relaxing ride back to Lewes after nearly a day of travel leaving Aruba. Last minute I thought to google couriers to see if I would have any luck. Gerald answered on the other line very bubbly and bright mind you it was before 8 am on a Saturday. If you ride the metro you can see there is an obvious difference with certain metro stops when compared to other areas and especially to those on the VA side. Many of you know what I am saying. If you see the Allied security people in the parking lock I think they just like playing dress up because they really don't do much. Not body shaming but if something went down I do not see any of them running more than 20 feet so maybe that's the reason they stay in their car. I can say they are not doing much from what I see. If you see the Metro police which is a rarity, you will think that something must have happened for them to be out at this station. It would be nice if they were around to handle some of the things you will see at this metro. What do you see? Well, some of these include constant fare evaders, a man with his phallus out (in front of kids) at the entrance front of everyone urinating at the entrance (sorry no pictures), and a train schedule that's seems to be optional. This is not just a Branch problem but it is more prevalent at Branch. The trains seem to be having a hard issue with the retorn to office and the arrival/departure times are nowhere close to being correct. This is one of those things where it might be an only option for some and based on convenience it is the best option also. Still it would be nice if the give a damn was turned up a bit more to equal what I see in other stations.
